Quick note: Remember that your PC is already NOT supported if you're using these steps, so there's no guarantee that the OS will run on your device.

I found that even better solution for old hardware is using the Tiny 11 script, you can take any ISO and it will remove every bloat that Microsoft has added (Including Edge tho, so you need to install your browser manually). It works like butter on older PC's.

I tried it on my Lenovo Ideapad 500acz, while it did initially boot to 24H2, but when it was doing the updating for drivers etc... the screen went blank and wouldn't go further. I went back to 23H2. Am I missing something?

First and foremost, if you're using these steps, you're PC is already NOT supported, so there are not guarantees. A black screen is usually a problem with the graphics driver. You could try creating a bootable USB again, and trying one more time. If it doesn't work, it's best to wait for the official release.

@@Pureinfotech Yes, I probably wait for the official release, it's an older laptop, so I don't really care. However, Windows 23 H2 does run smoothly even though it's not supported; no TPM 2.0, a slower CPU etc

If you have to bypass, then it's not official.

@NaniteWRLD I knok what Rufus is, and I also know how to do this. I said that it's not "official" because Windows it's not available from Microsoft to be installed in "unsupported" hardware .

@NaniteWRLD Yes, but the Video says Install Process (Official), not referring to the official ISO but the installation process. That's what I'm trying to say. I though for a moment that Microsoft changed their mind and released a build of Windows 11 officially without the security requirements.

Yeah Official is used loosely in this video. This method is not approved by Microsoft but I guess it's the most "official" way of getting it done.

Official only means that the steps are going to stay like this and won't be much different later on during the life of 24H2. If I knew that changes through the installation process would change, I would it label it: Preview.

its official that these requirements don't need to be there. its just to sell more computers/windows license's. another (mad bro) because ppl with 10 plus year old computers are running the same windows as him.🤣

You have bypassed every version until 23H2 If I were you I'd stop here. 23H2 is complete 24H2 comes with AI improvement made for newer chip even if it works you CPU will be used by all those AI stuff which require the NPU just hard pass on this one

I hear you, but 23H2 is set to retire after 18 months from the original release. You don't have to upgrade. I'll probably use 23H2 until Nov 2025.

And after the end of support of 23h2 back to Linux mint. If Microsoft wants that way that will be the.
