I am a Mechanical Engineer trying to come up with robot hand designs, and this finally got me to understand the perplexing nature of thumb movement.
No wonder everyone in ME gets the thumb wrong 😢
    Thanks. Amazing Video

I went to school twice to get certified. Long story, but all the years of learning your knowledge and teaching is the first I comprehend and actually want to apply to my clients. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and body work therapist. 🙌🥰🙏🏻

You simply have mad skills I love what you do. Sometimes when I look for some "out of the box" tricks for my clients, I always choose your channel to give some ideas. I just love your style

This is the best conventional visualization I've ever seen. 3D CAD gives some depth too, but it lacks the natural look of parallely seeing a real hand. Congratulations!

Top quality, and I make videos for a living. I came to see how a thumb flexor tendon may get damaged, and got a full lesson in anatomy. Thank you

Recently had a metal plate installed in my forearm and have been having trouble lifting my thumb up. This video was very insightful.

Thank you! This is fascinating. I have injured my thumb and have been trying to find out what the muscle or tendon is called that is between the thumb and first finger, which I must have strained or overworked by picking up heavy objects. This depiction and explanation of the muscles of the thumb was very helpful.

Thankyou so much, your video helped me identify my problem or issue in not being able to right fast. I was looking for a solution for so long now i know that strengthening the muscles around will improve it and it has done so in a little bit of time. Please suggest any more excercises. Love your work.

Great presentation and illustrations! However, I was wondering if you had the labels reversed at 5:59 into the video. Thought the abductor muscles were always the furthest to the outside of the hand?

I have a problem with my opposition motion. I can not touch my pinkie with my thumb is this something that can be fixed with therapy to rebuild the muscles of the abductor pollicis ?

If I severed the muscle that gives me the ability to do the thumbs up 👍 will it grow back together? Urgent care stitches me together but I can’t get the top of my thumb to go up. It just doesn’t respond at all. I am 13 days post injury.

I love your channel and I’m using it as I go through massage therapy school. I really wanted to ask you your opinion on a anatomy learning aspect. When trying to memorize and learn all the anatomy from muscles to bones to ligaments etc., do you recommend learning the whole body and all the muscles first and then when she learned those moving onto the whole body and finding the attachment sites and then moving on to the whole body for tendons and ligaments ect? Or do you think it would be better to memorize for example the glutes and all the muscles and all the attachment sites/phone/tenants etc. and then move onto another muscle group etc.… I’m just having trouble with learning it before the instructor starts asking about other aspects of the body that I haven’t even gotten a chance to look at or study because I’m still trying to memorize and green in my head another part of the body first before I move on and lose all that I train my brain to memorize. Any feedback is welcome… And again thank you so much for all that you do an upload on TH-cam🙌

You do such a great job of making complicated anatomy approachable for therapists looking to learn. This really helped me today when I was feeling overwhelmed about the placement and purpose of all of those tiny little muscles! Thanks Rebel Massage!!!
