It's always sad to see Skid Row, and unfortunately, it doesn't get better. 😢 You couldn't have planned it any better to cover this on the exact date two years later. Thank you for sharing the comparison between 2021 and 2023, AK. 🫂
(Sorry I missed the Premier) What struck me so hard is there are families trying to survive in there - Many of these folks DO have jobs they have to get ready for each day without running water or a bathroom. Their pay doesn't even begin to cover housing or food... With the Fed rate increases we'll see an even higher homeless count country wide, I fear.
This reminds me of what I'm seeing in Edmonton. It's very sad to see people living in tents. We've had this issue for many years. I go downtown, and I see many tents. They are also in parks, and other places. The homeless issue is a complex thing to deal with, and it's not easy to solve. We can have winters that can get cold, but our temperatures can vary. In the other seasons, it's warmer. Seeing this makes me feel grateful to have a home. Cheers! ✌️
There is a noticeable reduction in homeless encampments from 2021 to 2023. It looks like about half as much. Good to see the progress. Let's be clear a small area of DTLA can get sketchy at night. Nowhere near the majority of DTLA.
The whole time watching this I kept saying omg😢 this’s just too heartbreaking. The homeless crisis is and can be very complex. Some homeless individuals have become so complacent they don’t want to change their lifestyle.
its very sad to see many ppl still in this predicament there and in my neighborhood it has become more prevalent as these poor souls move from our downtown core of seattle to the suburbs now and the encampments here are moving one spot to another as our city shuffles them around trying to come to a decision on a safer permanent area for them as drugs prostitution and crime continue to be prominent 🙁😟praying for our nation and govt for wisdom is really the answer 🙏thanks again for sharing AK 🙂
This is so unfortuneate out there in LA. The US is not the same as it once was. 7:49 You could convince people you are back in Manhattan with that Graffiti clearly saying "MTA" 😂
Priorities, what's more important drugs & booze or a roof over you're head. Besides ,if it was about a roof over you're head why pick the most expensive city in the country?
A place to remember in LA...a different sight to beckons, hope the homeless folks will not grow higher and it's sad to see the living conditions 😢..thanks AK for showing us around the city, which remains nice to live and cherish 🎉😂

I remember driving thru Skid Row back in the late 90s. Sad and Pathetic that the supposedly wealthiest nation in the world and a country that wealthiest ones here don't feel any compulsion to help lift up other humans.🤤😔
Wealthiest state in the union and somehow we still have tent cities in all the urban areas. We also have the most virtue signalers per capita, but somehow the state just keeps getting worse.

I appreciate Action Kid keeping it real and showing us the unglamorous side as well as the nice side of places he visits

Doesn't Canada have generous welfare?
It’s sad to hear what’s happening in Edmonton as well, hoping for the best.

Hopefully they haven't just been shuffled off elsewhere by police.
@@Reticulated_Spline The new Mayor instituted a new program several months ago to get people into temporary and transitional housing.

Edmonton, Alberta has this issue too. So does Victoria and Vancouver, in British Columbia. It's widespread, and very sad to see.
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!

I went to LA recently and I saw that 😢 I warned my friends and family about going to LA because of that. LA is a trash 🗑️ city
There are also nice areas in the LA city and not the entire city is trash.
@@HengMiaoThat's true. It applies to any city in the world.
@@dwaynewladyka577 I agree. No city is perfect, but the whole city should not be generalized or stereotyped as bad.
