🌄 blendermarket.... 69% frickin off until 10/17/24 (code is crazydiscount) =========================================== hopefully that makes sense! again: Shift + Ctrl + D
this thing is 69% off (i know, wtf) until 10/17/24 - the code is: crazydiscount I of course plan to do a tutorial in a bit going over the methodology (there are actually 2 common approaches) that put you on the right track USE THE CODE! don't pay in full (although i wouldn't mind) blendermarket.com/products/stamp-master
This can be replicated with an empty and a couple of shader nodes. Seems a bit strange coming from the guy who only last week was suggesting the trace master developer was a conman for selling an addon than can be easily replicated manually 😂😂
@@CGMatter I agree, which is why I can't understand why you made two recent videos destroying and then stealing the sales of two developers. I quote you 'We have a new target in the scope, image to 3d, which are starting to pi55 me off because they're charging for something that can be replicated easily' I think you owe those developers an apology for a) suggesting they're ripping people off, and b) stealing their addon and placing them on your own store. quote from here (where you're laughing disturbingly at the prospect of destroying someone's work and income): th-cam.com/video/vE42_2E2jDA/w-d-xo.html
Addon is a solid 8 out of 10 for me. 3 things I noticed with this addon that don't bother me as they are simple fixes for me and it still saves me time is when I have a character with an armature the empty does not move with it, so maybe when we set an empty is should be hooked/constrained to the current face we clicked on. And when I make a tattoo on a leg for example it is true there is nothing on the backside of the right leg, but I also get another stamp on her left leg at the same time (Workaround would be to split the material by hand I dunno if there is any solution with node magic. Maybe by controlling how close the empty has to be the further something is away the more it fades?). Objects that have multiple materials are tricky as the decal is being added to the very first material, however if the legs are let's say the 12th material in the list I won't see the decal there, maybe a good solution would be to add the node to active material? So the user could predefine on which material it will be placed. I have one 4th, that would be if one uses the inverted hull technique for outlines the decal empty points to the wrong side.
So great. I don’t understand why the basic option on blender is so unfriendly, who want to peint a stamp 😐 and i you move slightly, to bad ? Thanks for the explanation.
Is it possible to project a decal *all around* an object. For example, in the cushion shown in the demo, could it project a pattern all around the said object ? Maybe it's not possible with this method ?
Hm, i think it should have the option to project on more than one side, and not stretch like on the table on the start of the video, and cover the whole object if needed. Bit more work on noise/scratches, since it looks quite uniform, but, experimenting inside of the shader node would help with that. It needs more work, but it is a good start, i am interested.
I tried a similar method ( empty as texture coordinate) for animating a product with a few brand decals. But when that product is linked in a new file, the decal doesn’t move with the animation. even if the empty is parented to the object and clearly moves with the parent. It seams as if the projection axis is locked to the original file. I can use libary override to make it work, but i dont always want to do this. Any idea how to solve this or why its not working?
@@CGMatter By the way I am about to drop a super useful blender addon please don't remake similar to it, I had put a lot of effort writing it and i want to buy a rokoko product so please don't steal my customers 😭.
@@CGToonStudio I bought Stamp-It too as is was a new approach to decals (to me anyways) but I actually find it hard to use and I ended up purchasing Decal Master which I find extremely easy to use. I may even end up purchasing the one in this video as I like the prospect of tinkering with nodes.
I think it's great you're continually adding new addons thanks to AI now being able to provide you with code, but are there any plans to update the previous ones as promised over a year ago?
@@CGMatter It took long to get a reply to a question, so I left a bad review. Then Blender Market got into this conversation, deleted my review and he called me stupid in his words. I had to write three reviews, until the girl from Blender Market gave up. 😂 And one extra for another addon from him just to make my day brighter. 😆 It was my honest opinion, but I had not spend so much time with this if I wouldn't have been pissed af. It was pretty funny.
I cancelled my patreon subscription. But i was being slow after subbing to the new site so i 2x’d. That’s money that could have gone towards a $6.90 addon at 69% off. Oh well. I’ll pretend im covering a slacker this month.

almost everything can be replicated easily - the question is about convenience

Picked it at 67% discount, It would be pretty awesome for my workflow.

Nice. Well done, master.
Please update your existing addons before creating new ones! I feel like you just take money with no concern for the user.

I created a very similar addon, but never released it. By the way, I’m curious: did you run into issues with the SVM stack while testing?
is that steve

Is there a way to duplicate the stamp?
Bro i just bought a similar addon called stamp it a day ago, triple the price, There's nothing we can do 😢😅.
lol - i saw it and had to make my own - the general idea is pretty good

Is this the same concept of decal in UE?
Shift + Ctrl + D duplicates my objects in windows
6.90$ and 69% off... bro lol
it's honest work
@@CGMatter are we still talking CG at this point?
The creator of stamp it is the rudest person in the Blender community. Well done. 💪
really?
how so?
