    Mike, you are so generous to share this great wealth of information about how you do your photographic files as well as how you do your photography. Having developed my own systems over the years I can appreciate the amount of work you put into this. I, too, preferred to review, sort, and backup my files the same day that I shot them. Several times I realized that I needed to try to do a bird over in order to get it a little better. It beats getting home and wishing you had done it over. Thanks again for your generosity, Mike, and for sharing your expertise as well as your wonderful pictures.

    @9:18. I used it to. However with more than two devices plugged, the amperage on each channel drops dramatically and charging time goes through the roof. I find it most efficient when one device (more power-hungry) is blugged to orange channel and one to the green channel. But maybe that depends on the charger internal design.

    Another vote for Breezebrowser. I've yet to find anything that works as well when viewing and culling images. It does slow right down loading thumbnails from large cards (128Gb and over) but once loaded it is super fast. Amazing footage of the goshawks with the wasps !

    Enjoyed your comment about shooting at ISO 12,800 on 4/3 camera systems. Funny how all the pundits who have never picked up a 4/3 camera have all those opinions. ISO is a complete non-issue with todays cameras and post processing software, no matter the format you choose to shoot with.

    Another great video Mike: When I owned a Sony A9, A7R4 and A7III, I had the same problem with specs of dust, and had to regularly clean mine. As I nearly always carry two cameras, it wasn't through changing lenses in the field. I have never had a dust problem with any of my EM series cameras or either of my OM1's.

    Hi Mike
    I have been thinking of going down to Spain and the hides de Calera was on the potential list, after watching it now goes close to the top. I use much the same system as you, OM-1 plus Panasonic 100-400. Like you I am amazed at what this setup can do and with modern noise reduction high ISO is not a problem. Never tried video but seeing what you were able to achieve will give it a go. Thanks for another great video.

    I have the om100-400 on my om1 and I’ve been impressed with it for such a reasonably priced lens.

    Interesting comments Mike re the OM1 and GH6. I use the lever on the OM1 to switch between stills and video. I think the next upgrades for the OM1 will be 200 frames + at 4k and the same for the GH6 but with phase detect focus as on the G9 mark 2. Then life will become complicated in terms of choice of system. Low noise at high ISO will just continue to improve. What were your thought on the 100-400 lens the images looked good.

    • @MikeLaneFRPS
      @MikeLaneFRPS  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is little difference between the two lens ( I have a YT film on it somewhere). I was not concerned to use it for a day as I knew I would not be able to tell from looking at the pictures.

    Do you manually focus in 240p? Is so, than you could use 300p in Lumix. It is the same quality but you cannot use back-button to refocus. What do you think about Olympus 100-400mm? These goose-hawks take-off shots looked very sharp in their plane of focus. I can't afford to buy 150-400mm but I am planning to keep the 100-400mm regardless of whether I switch to Panasonic G9II or stay with OM-1.

    • @MikeLaneFRPS

    I'm quite like my newly bought OM-1 + M.Zuiko 100-400mm F5-6.3, but since mine is not the pro lens, which I cannot afford! And the flicker is killing my eyes! Is that a pure technical thing or it's something OM system simply put there for your annoyance so to sell their pro lens? Nice video Mike , always.

    • @MikeLaneFRPS

      Using SH1 there is no flicker. It is constant viewing. Using SH2 the flicker is so slight as to be unnoticeable. Compared with a DSLR camera flicker is a thing of the past. Hard to imagine you find it hard on the eyes.
