Hi Sage now I done some more experimenting with different bushings. First I tried out the yellow ones at the front and blue at the rear truck like you suggested. Later after I changed the deck out with a NLS Pro deck, I tried out blue ones at the front and red ones at the rear. That was shit, so I tried out yellow ones again at the front, but kept the red ones at the rear truck. Yellow at the front and red at the rear worked pretty good, but now I’m back to a yellow at the front truck and blue ones at the rear one that’s what work the best in my opinion and my 75 kg weight.
I would do blue rear and yellow front, but tighten the rear like 6-7 threads and tighten the front 3-4 threads. See how that feels, and if it's stable, loosen them a little. You pretty much want them as loose as possible with it still being stable, but start tighter untill you're comfortable
Mix up the boardside/roadside combo to fine tune it even more! Generally, put the harder bushing boardside. I also did a barrel/cone setup on the front truck and it's a carving dream. Also it seems the Meepo trucks don't have a board side washer so I threw my otang nipples washer on it to prevent excessive deformation 🤙🏻
There are two bushings per truck, one closer to the road and one closer to the board. Roadside and boardside respectively. Barreled bushings are the ones that come on the board, they are the tube shape. Cone bushing are a cone shape, and have a different, more progressive resistance.
thanks for the breakdown, mate-appreciate it! I guess I’ll start with default setup and move from there, well I think I’ll do your mode to start with, actually 👍
Hey sage first off if you are doing something do it and then read this . I love your content. I ordered a meepo v3 and I know I’ll be carving all day I don’t know how long it takes meepo to send out bushings so I decided to order bushings off Amazon since my mother trusts it. I was deciding to get orangatang kuncles but the highiest duro was 90a so I was searching and found independent bushings I was looking at them and I saw that I can get 90 a and 96a but the shape of the bushings is like barrel/cone will that effect better than barrel/barrel thanks for you time.
Hey bro, ty for the video can't wait to try it ! I'm a pretty heavy rider though, around 220 pounds, would you still recommend yellow in the front ? (I have reds on both rn)
yeah, just tighten them up. I'm 160 and have them as loose as possible,so if you tighten them 6-7 threads you should be good. I would leave red in the back though
@@sagesends Oh man. I just did this and it feels even more amazing. Carving with the flexy deck combined with the stable & loose bushings is an experience beyond this world. Thanks for making this video!

no idea about a v4. I think a wowgo 3 would be a better choice for someone just starting out. More comfortable and mellow. The meepo v3 is a speed machine but is stiff for stability, meaning lack of comfort
@@sagesends Thanks! sounds like it could b ideal! The only thing I am not sure on is the width of the baord, seems almost half the width of the meepo, which would give me a little more stablilty. Going to see if there are any local for me to try. Big Thanks!!
I have a second hand Meepo V3 since two days, but it came with very soft bushings (90a). I live in Holland, so shipping from Meepo will take some time, when they arrive the summer will be gone. Are there alternatives? Will the Orangatang Nipples fit?
I have a combo of orangatang nipples and bones 81a soft bushings on my v2 dual plus boosted. That setup is a dream!!! My board carves insanely well now and I can make sharp turns comparable to my carver and it'd probably work the same wonders on your meepo.
Sage Moore what would be cool is you’d keep the meepo bushings on the bottom, and put the bones bushings on top. I feel like that would also do you amazing. The bones only run 10 bucks on amazon.
Nice alternative setup and good info. I will try this setup. Thank you for the good work. My wife and I will be starting out with meepo mini 2 (standard) and backfire G2 black (for her...-and because I wanted a longboard too 🤙🏻)
My board came with yellow bushings installed and red bushings in the box. What do you recommend for someone who weighs 110 lbs? I was thinking of putting the yellow/red on the back and some softer ones on the front.
standard is about 8-10 miles. If you get ER I would just get NLS pro cause it's only $70 more and you get flexy deck, bigger wheels, and stand and accessories
I’m thinking about purchasing the v3, and when I look at what’s in the box, one of the things out side of the board itself is “tall barrel bushing”, does this mean it’s now only being shipped with the extra firm bushing and no white softer bushing? Thanks.
it's a common problem with hub motors as the polyurethane is quite thin, before you run into magnets and copper windings of the motor. It looks bad at first, but will stabilize, and chunks won't every really fall off. My polyurethane is cracked to shit but hasn't gotten much worse since ~200 miles (at 600 miles now)
I have no idea, I have a V3. The v3 will do 28 with the 90mm wheels and about 30 with the 100mm wheels. Both of these speeds require smooth roads and no headwind to work. The board cruises at about 24-26 normally
shit gave em to a friend a while ago sorry man. apparently the orangutang bushings are a good replacement and are available on Amazon. any skate bushing should work
Should I be worried about my truck bolt falling off? I did this with my regular skateboard and the bolt fell off while riding 🔩, so my 2 wheels fell off..
you should be ok, these are good quality nuts with locking nylon, so they don't back off, even with vibration. Almost any truck worth it's stuff has locking nylon unless you don't tighten the nut far enough to engage it. Make sure at least one thread is sticking out the top.
Hey I’m really light weighing at 85 lbs and my concern is that the v3 er that I ordered won’t come with the white bushings. Do you know if it still comes with all 3? I saw reviews and they just had the dark blue ones come with the board
I'd do the same as the video honestly. Yellow front is plenty loose if you leave it all the way unscrewed. Start with yellow front and blue back with both screwed down about 5 threads. bring a skate tool on your ride and slowly loosen each, starting with the front, untill it feels comfortably loose, but not wobbly. It should feel stable at the rear but nimble at the front.
my friend just got the v3 few days ago and it didn't come with any kind of bushings at all.. I had to tighten up the rear kinda A lot and still gets some wobble.. he's 160LB

Alright cool thanks for the tips , I will try it , just too confirm red(hard) bushing how many threads? The yellow(medium) bushing I did 4 threads already

Red on the rear and yellow on front would work for you. I would tighten them both down about 5 threads and slowly loosen (front first) untill the board feels nimble but not wobbly.

yeah but it's not pretty. I reccomend grabbing a regular longboard and trying to skate on things that way. If the longboard can do it/it's comfortable to your standards, then the meepo can do it
Nice! But is not this thing the reason of destroyed rear wheels?Sorry for my bad language :/ do you know what I mean? Btw Im 65kg so blue to rear and yellow on front?Right? =) And thx for your videos! You are amazing bro! ♥
This is not the reason. Destroyed wheels are because I have over 600 miles on the board and I was a longboarder already so i have been drifting/sliding the board. Blue rear and yellow front yeah! Just bring the orange tool with you and tighten/loosen the front and rear trucks untill you feel comfortable. Start tighter, then loosen them as you become comfortable
Ahh Im jealous. I think the NLS pro comes with the red bushings. Ideally I'd put those in the back. Try out both the red and blue in the back, see what works best for you.
Definitely go for NLS pro, without a doubt. Faster top speed (32mph vs 24mph), more power (540W motors vs 350W motors on backfire), and longer range (NLS goes 20 miles, backfire goes 15). NLS is $100 more but its all worth it for the performance.
okay so i got the meepo v3 im 250 pounds everything is standard on it havent adjusted anything and i cant turn for my life on this thing its scary because i need too at time
what if you're commuting in a straight line? Stability is always useful. imagine your car gets death wobble at 65 and the mechanic tells you "yeah just turn left and right and it's chill" like yeah technically that is a solution but in this case you can have your cake and eat it too
I’ll try that out a blue and a yellow bushing, when my V3 arrive.

Yo bro mine only came with the 10@ red bushings.. if i do the same setup you think it’ll carve like the video. Thanks btw
yeah just put stiffer in the rear and lighter in the front
Sage Moore word.. thanks
Mine came with red super hard bushings and then the blue medium bushings with the yellow ones on the board
Ahh Im jealous. I think the NLS pro comes with the red bushings. Ideally I'd put those in the back. Try out both the red and blue in the back, see what works best for you.
Got mine today and same here. In the box shows the references of the four types: RED 100a, BLUE 96a, YELLOW 90a and WHITE 83A
@@vtlman mine didn't come with the white
Cool tip)
This good to do for MEEPO mini 2?
yes it will make the board more stable
Great Vids! I hope Meepo is watching. I’m debating on NLS pro and backfire G2T. ✌️
Definitely go for NLS pro, without a doubt. Faster top speed (32mph vs 24mph), more power (540W motors vs 350W motors on backfire), and longer range (NLS goes 20 miles, backfire goes 15). NLS is $100 more but its all worth it for the performance.
Sage Moore thank you for the information!! ✌️
Sage Moore I just put in my order for the NLS pro !! Going to be setting the bushings as u do. Thanks again man!!
I only got red bushings so I put one red one board side on the back truck and a yellow road side so that's technically 95a 🤷🏽♂️
okay so i got the meepo v3 im 250 pounds everything is standard on it havent adjusted anything and i cant turn for my life on this thing its scary because i need too at time
put yellow on front and red or blue on rear. crank the shit out of the rear. leave the front loose (maybe 5 threads?)
@@sagesends okay bro im trusting you with my life
please sign this liability form absolving me of responsibility if you die x:______
Mine only came with yellow on the board and red
Use red in the back, it's even more ideal, I wish I had red
Get those 1k subs! Your vids are good quality! Make more meepo vids!
Best bush talk eva!!haha
I don't carve when I'm going 45km/h 😂
you should it's very fun
Sage Moore and it’s painful I assume xddd
Carve hard and you don't wobble.
what if you're commuting in a straight line? Stability is always useful. imagine your car gets death wobble at 65 and the mechanic tells you "yeah just turn left and right and it's chill" like yeah technically that is a solution but in this case you can have your cake and eat it too
@@sagesends in I'm going fast in a strait path, I put most of my weight on the front truck
bad move. Look up a video on how to properly weight a trailer and you will see why.
