oh yeah I've had issues with cutting out going over a fat bump. It has been fixed since I got the 100mm wheels, I think it provides enough padding to prevent the issue
Hey man, how come you didn't just get the 100mm PU sleeves? Says on their site they can be used with the 90mm motors. Be interesting to hear your thoughts. Thanks, great channel!
Hey man so i wont get my v3 for a couple weeks but want to go ahead and buy the 100mm pu sleeves for the rear. On the website it says to make sure and have 265mm front trucks, I don’t know if that applies to me as im just doing the rear but do you know if stock trucks are 265mm?
This is gonna sound stupid but are you supposed to swap all four, or just the two from the motor? They’re selling for $60 a pop for a 2 piece now so that would be like $120 I would have to spend
How do you get this thing into/out of reverse? I did it once by mistake but can't figure out what i did...lol. And how do you switch the odometer from Kph to Mph? I can't find any manuals!
I just bought the board and I'm waiting for it to come. You were talking about a 100 mm replacement kit. I see nothing like that on the site. They're selling the front and back wheels separately, as well as the trucks that they say I should upgrade too. It seems like their ripping off advertising it to be a budget board and then making you spend 100+ more bu is for it to perform at it's best. What should I do?
legend has it he still likes all the comments on his videos. But on the real, I'm considering buying an electric skateboard and this one seems good but I feel like it has to be too good to be true... I mean the boosted board that looks like this one is 1500 dollars... either this one is not nearly as good quality or boosted shouldn't be in business.
I am planning to buy one to cruise on the pavements. In Germany we cannot ride it on asphalt roads where cars go as we have a seperate cycling lane. Please advise if the meepo v3 is good enough for cruising on the pavement *where cycles ride.
Hey Sage great Meepo vid as always, will order my 100mm's soon. Looking forward to seeing the e-bike build as well... Just wondering if you know if I can change out my standard battery for the extended range battery? Is it compatible?
yeah, the XR battery fits right in. It's only slightly bigger than the regular range battery, it just has much better cells. If you open up the battery case you will see there is extra room in there
So I have two of the same boards... Would it go faster if I put the battery and motor from one onto the front trucks of the other? Or would this only be a benefit if I were to be going uphill?
would provide more power, but top speed would be the same as the motors top out at 30mph. So yeah, would be better for uphill but top speed wouldnt change much. Might increase by 1-2mph as board will have an easier time overcoming air resistance. Check out meepo AWD pro, it's essentially two v3 motor sets.
Had my V3 for about a 2 months awesome board love it about 200 miles on it so far. What's your opinion about the cloud wheels upgrade been thinking about the 100 mm meepo wheel upgrade or the cloud wheels upgrade
Hey, nice video, i think about buying nls pro.. my question: you think you can switch out batteries on the go not to difficult when i take screwdriver with me to have unlimited range as long as i got batteries with me? Also how is the sound of the motor on v3? How easy is it to peddle with engine off?
Click the link in the description and get the 100mm PU's. You can leave the 90mm fronts, it feels fine. If you have a v3s you will need to get the v3s PU's. The link is for the original V3 pu's
Should I buy the 100mm hub motors or just the sleeves? The board has 350 miles on it and I just got it used and the brakes seem a little weak, will getting new hub motors instead of sleeves make a difference?
Hey Sage Moore, I’m trying to swap from 90mm to 100mm and the bearing on one of my wheels got stuck on the hub monitor like you mentioned. I find it extremely difficult to get it off. Any tips on how you did it?
Idk it just came off after a bit. Try heating it up with a lighter (without getting the lighter too close to the motor). Thats what I did and it eventually came off
Sage Moore right on, I’m hoping the same will happen for me. Messed with it for like 2 hrs yesterday but literally didn’t budge so hopefully something works in my favor when I get help
@@sagesends Just now put in an order for a V3, I really wanted the NLS, but shipping alone is fucking $125? Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cost a fortune to get 100mm wheels.
@@sagesends Well the meepo website isn't clear on this IMO, you can get new PU sleeves and you can get new hub motors - but the hub motors have a "90mm" version and a 100mm version. I'm not sure if that means there's an actual difference to the hub motors, or if the difference is just the PU sleeves that they come fitted with. Seems like it's the latter, but I can see why people would be confused. I'm confused tbh
Hey, great video!! Just a quick question, did you also swap out the front wheels with the larger 100mm? I just bought the PU sleeves and was wondering if I should buy the front wheels too, mainly because the size difference might cause a forward tilt.
On Meepo's website it says that you need to get the 97mm or 100mm front wheels if you are getting the 100mm pu sleeves. Did you do this? If not then does it work fine?

@@sagesends Aw I was Hoping maybe you'd be the technical savy guy to have figured out how all these similar chinese hub motors work guess not thanks anyways 👍

🤷♂️ My V3 has 2300 km on it and wheels are looking good, and Ive been off roading like crazy. But its impossible to get my screws open, they are so tight I bend any instrument on them.
Up to you. The 100mm are significantly more comfortable and offer more protection to the motor and motor housing. But if you have smooth streets the 90mm offers more tourque. I would recommend getting the 100mm, but if you dont wanna spend the $40 just yet, itll be fine
Hey Sage, my 90mm wheels got punctured from glass on my 2nd trip taking it out, saw this vid on how to remove the wheels to try and remove the glass but as I went to retighten the 6 screws one broke off in the board...welp. What should I do?
the glass is inside the wheel? The wheels have a metal sleeve behind the polyurethane there is no way glass got into the wheel. You don't need to take them apart. As for the broken off screw, look into screw extractor kits.
Sage Moore I appreciate you getting back to me! I managed to get the glass pieces from out of the tire. Hopefully I can ride it until new 90 or 100 mm sleeevs become available again. I was just worried the fragments could damage the motor but if there’s a metal sleeve in the back that’ll put my mind more at ease
@@anthonypalacios3415 yeah there is no way anything could get in there. By the time you'd have punctured the metal sleeve with ground debris the force would be enough to bend the entire axle and the puncture would be the lease of your worries.

Did you change your front trucks also ? The site says to get bigger ones wouldn't that slow the board down?
nah didn't change em
@@sagesends Thanks ..I don't see anyone changing their front wheels to 100mm either how about you..
yeah not necessary the 90mm wheels are plenty big and cushy
i am doing the same thanks to your video! i ordered a v3 just yesterday thanks to you and the community
one question tho: since you left the front wheels the stock 90mm do you notice the slope the board has now?
i know its just 5mm difference in height but does it affect steering?
thanks alot!
there doesn't seem to be any effect no
Best video on this topic. Solid. Thanks. Peace.
Sage Moore have you had any glitches with your esc or motors with the v3 going balls to the wall and hitting a crack or sidewalk cracks my v3 loves to cut in and out and if you can relate it gets sketchy as fuck because that esc is powerful ! Thanks max from Minnesota
oh yeah I've had issues with cutting out going over a fat bump.
I did. Did you not bother to read the title or watch the video at all?
Hey man so i wont get my v3 for a couple weeks but want to go ahead and buy the 100mm pu sleeves for the rear. On the website it says to make sure and have 265mm front trucks, I don’t know if that applies to me as im just doing the rear but do you know if stock trucks are 265mm?
nah you just need the sleeves
Did you keep stock trucks(trucks in the front) when switching to 100mm wheels
Or you bought bigger trucks ?
kept stock
This is gonna sound stupid but are you supposed to swap all four, or just the two from the motor? They’re selling for $60 a pop for a 2 piece now so that would be like $120 I would have to spend
just the two from the motor
But do you need to buy the 100mm wheels for the front?
You don't need too, it would probably look better though. I've experienced no issues with 90mm still on front
@@sagesends Okay thanks!
How do you get this thing into/out of reverse? I did it once by mistake but can't figure out what i did...lol. And how do you switch the odometer from Kph to Mph? I can't find any manuals!
double click power button for reverse/forward. Can't switch to mph
Thanks bro! Keep up the good work
You can now Switch between Kph/Mph with the new ESC 6.0
I just bought the board and I'm waiting for it to come. You were talking about a 100 mm replacement kit. I see nothing like that on the site. They're selling the front and back wheels separately, as well as the trucks that they say I should upgrade too. It seems like their ripping off advertising it to be a budget board and then making you spend 100+ more bu is for it to perform at it's best. What should I do?
the sleeves are only $40 and I think are sold out.
So I can just buy those and it wouldnt feel awkward having different size 'wheels' on the back and front?
@@addishoilett9488 yeah that's what I did and it feels fine, you can barely even see the difference let alone feel it
@@sagesends okay I hope this advice can save me the mula thanks man
legend has it he still likes all the comments on his videos. But on the real, I'm considering buying an electric skateboard and this one seems good but I feel like it has to be too good to be true... I mean the boosted board that looks like this one is 1500 dollars... either this one is not nearly as good quality or boosted shouldn't be in business.
boosted is in business the same reason apple is in business. branding and perceived quality. this board is as good, and for much cheaper
I am planning to buy one to cruise on the pavements. In Germany we cannot ride it on asphalt roads where cars go as we have a seperate cycling lane. Please advise if the meepo v3 is good enough for cruising on the pavement *where cycles ride.
as long as the pavements are of decent shape (no big cracks, rocks) you are fine.
What's your opinion about the cloud wheels upgrade been thinking about the 100 mm meepo wheel upgrade or the cloud wheels upgrade
idk, don't have em, couldn't say
The 100mm wheels grind even before I put the screws in
yeah no shit dog that's what the screws are for 😂😂 to fully seat it 🤙
Can you still get these ?? Hit me up I need em bad
Hey, nice video, i think about buying nls pro.. my question: you think you can switch out batteries on the go not to difficult when i take screwdriver with me to have unlimited range as long as i got batteries with me? Also how is the sound of the motor on v3? How easy is it to peddle with engine off?
Yeah, there's only 6 nuts between you and the battery. Takes about 3 minutes to swap.
yo so just the rubber on the back right wheel fell off, i’ve been wanting to change to 100mm anyway what do i order?
Click the link in the description and get the 100mm PU's. You can leave the 90mm fronts, it feels fine. If you have a v3s you will need to get the v3s PU's. The link is for the original V3 pu's
So, you don’t have to buy the 100mm hub motors at all? Just the 100mm polyurethane?
Correct
I live in North Dakota with not very good roads and long winters should I buy a meepo or not
Would be fun as hell in the summer, but get an AT board if the roads are bad
Sage Moore ok thanks
Should I buy the 100mm hub motors or just the sleeves? The board has 350 miles on it and I just got it used and the brakes seem a little weak, will getting new hub motors instead of sleeves make a difference?
no sleeves should be plenty
Hey Sage Moore, I’m trying to swap from 90mm to 100mm and the bearing on one of my wheels got stuck on the hub monitor like you mentioned. I find it extremely difficult to get it off. Any tips on how you did it?
Idk it just came off after a bit. Try heating it up with a lighter (without getting the lighter too close to the motor). Thats what I did and it eventually came off
Any suggestion on how to take off the barring? Mine is stuck and I’ve tried pulling it off but it won’t budge.
idk I fucked with mine a while then left it for a day then went to show a friend how fucken stuck it was and of course it fell off
Sage Moore right on, I’m hoping the same will happen for me. Messed with it for like 2 hrs yesterday but literally didn’t budge so hopefully something works in my favor when I get help
I have the V3 but everytime I try to upgrade. Meepo's website always says "sold out". Do you have any suggestions on alternatives?
you might just have to wait
@@sagesends when you changed to the 100mm. Did you also change the trucks?
@@dylanvalenti5545 no just rear sleeves
@Andy Ramirez no wobble
What do I need to buy to do this, Pi sleeves, hub motors, trucks sorry I’m new and confused
just 100mm sleeves, should be ~$40
@@sagesends thanks bro also is there replacement parts for the cones as mine are shredded aswell
cone is still strong even if fairly shredded, but if you want a new come you have to buy a whole new wheel
Can I buy just the PU sleeves for the stock wheels rather than buying both 100mm wheels and then the PU sleeve for that?
yeah you can get just the sleeves
@@sagesends Thanks a lot man
@@sagesends Just now put in an order for a V3, I really wanted the NLS, but shipping alone is fucking $125? Just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cost a fortune to get 100mm wheels.
I don't think they charge shipping for the 100mm sleeves. They didn't when I got em
Hey sage I been watching your channel recently because I’m getting meepo v3 and I was wondering if you had 90mm motor hubs or 100mm in the video
that's like... the whole point of the video...
Sage Moore omg I am special sorry😅
@@sagesends Well the meepo website isn't clear on this IMO, you can get new PU sleeves and you can get new hub motors - but the hub motors have a "90mm" version and a 100mm version. I'm not sure if that means there's an actual difference to the hub motors, or if the difference is just the PU sleeves that they come fitted with.
Seems like it's the latter, but I can see why people would be confused. I'm confused tbh
I don't have a hammer and I have just ONE screw that's stripped... and advice on how to get it out?
drill it out
Hey, great video!! Just a quick question, did you also swap out the front wheels with the larger 100mm? I just bought the PU sleeves and was wondering if I should buy the front wheels too, mainly because the size difference might cause a forward tilt.
I didn't, it's up to you
I did put 100s on the front too but you probably don’t need to.
On Meepo's website it says that you need to get the 97mm or 100mm front wheels if you are getting the 100mm pu sleeves. Did you do this? If not then does it work fine?
yeah you can leave the 90mm wheels and just replace the PU
@@sagesends Ok Thanks for the info.
Website says only use the 100mm on the rear if you're using them on front too. Is that really true?
nah they just want you to buy the front 100mm
@@sagesends how long have you had it on just the rear? You don't feel like it's unsafe to have bigger wheels in the back?
doesn't seem to make any difference, the board just feels smoother with the bigger wheels but no less stable
Hey sage love your videos and I love my V3 so far, but I am attempting to charge my remote and when I turn on the remote I see the bars going up slowly, but when I unplug it, it shows that it hasn't charged at all and it's been plugged in all day. Am I doing something wrong? Please help! ❤
Nevermind! Solved! Love your vids man keep it up!
@@nosanelson what was the fix
How long did it take to receive your 100mm pu wheels and did it come with 2 for 38$?
Say's you can pre-order them on there website so i assume there out of stock.
Just got my awd-pro and i love it.
Thanks for the tutorial!
Took about 20 days, and yes $38 is for both
I'm a noob, sorry....i can get the 100mm sleeves and attach to 90mm hub right? Havent gotten my board yet (this thursday 🤞) and looking to upgrade based on eveeyone i talk too. Just want to make sure before i buy. Also, it would be smart to upgrade to 100mm fronts too? Thanks in advance.
yes they are cross compatible
@@sagesends thanks so much for the fast response! Just ordered 100mm fonts and backs! Should all arrive the same day as board and i will keep 90mm for emergency back up.
yo shockey where are you from and how long did shipping take for you?
@@Miniko Amazon actually had everything i needed in stock, i have them on my board, all authentic meepo
im new too ellectric skateboards i just ordered the v3 .. did you just swap out 2 wheels?? i see on the shop they sell " front wheels "
yeah I just did the rear
Soo you just need the sleeves right?
yes
@@sagesends thanks for replying
What are the chances of these Hub Sleeves fitting on my Phoenix Ryder boards rear hubs? Same style hub with 6 screws on the back of hub. The PU Wheels on mine is only 83mm 😂
hmmm. maybe? one small step for man...
@@sagesends Aw I was Hoping maybe you'd be the technical savy guy to have figured out how all these similar chinese hub motors work guess not thanks anyways 👍
nah I mean the spec sheets for this stuff is super hard to find. If the inner diameter of the magnet ring is the same it might work, but it's also unlikely the North/south banks are the same spacing so the hall sensors wouldn't know what to do
If you buy the 2 PU sleeves you’ll need the regular 2 for the front right the 100mm ?
up to you, works with the normal fronts
🤷♂️ My V3 has 2300 km on it and wheels are looking good, and Ive been off roading like crazy.
But its impossible to get my screws open, they are so tight I bend any instrument on them.
might have to drill em out
Uh if I buy the meepo board do I get the 100mm wheels immediantly or just ride the board till I have done 1000 miles
New to this but.. shouldn't the front wheels be the same size? Doesn't feel tilted forwards?
No, it's only a 5mm distance across a length of 965mm, which is a slope of about 0.5 percent, so it's almost entirely unnoticeable
Hey bro I wanna do the upgrade to the 100mm but do I need to buy the bigger front trucks or will the 100mm be okay with the stock trucks? I have the meepo v3
stock is fine
@@sagesends sweet thanks
So your channel is now all about your skateboard nice
I uploaded a electric bike video and nobody watched it. I'd rather have a variety of projects but nobody seems to care about anything but the board
Hahaha I also have TH-cam channel in 6 years I had like 6 of them but nobody even care what I'm uploading besides few people 🤷🏼♀️
I mean I'm happy that there's at least few people and I'm not recording for ghosts lol
yah all you need is some good fans and you stay motivated
Great job! Do more Meepo videos, please :)
Never had an electric board.. how easy is it to push like a traditional longboard in a pinch?
hub motors like this are pretty easy, I would say like 10% harder than regular wheels
Dmbjr02 oh really thats nothing. I used to skate miles on a popsicle board with small street wheels so thats sick! Makes me not care about the range so much
@@THEpicND yea I just bought a used electric meepo board and its super fun and goes as far as I need it for now, just I dont have the best side walks or roads here and my feed and legs are dead after a ride
Teemo* not meepo, damn Chinese manufactures not coming up with names that dont sound alike
How did you get the stuck bearing off having trouble with mine? Cheers
warmed it up with a blowtorch and it slid off pretty easily. careful though, don't burn anything lol
How do I get the back wheel off? the screws got jammed and twisted and I cannot unscrew them. What do you recommend i do?
oof. I would reccommend watching a video on how to free stripped or crossthreaded screws.
Are the 100mms compatible on the meepo shuffle (v4) as well?
I don't think so, I think shuffle is a whole new platform
Did you also change the front wheels?
no
So I went on the website and I got confused hopefully you can help I know this is really late, so do you just have to buy the 100mm PU sleeves or also the 100mm hub motors as well?
just the sleeves
Sage Moore ok thanks🙏🏼
I installed 100s and they made a grinding noise. Never could find the source. When I put the old wheels on, they also made a grinding noise. No idea what’s going wrong.
take them off, rotate them 2 or 3 screw holes, then retighten in a star pattern
Hay sage I have a question. I am waiting on my v3 er. I ordered 100m wheels because of what I heard. Now I only ordered 2 sets of the wheels and not the 100m pu sleeves. Do I need thos as well to install the new wheels?
wow. Dog yeah of course you need the sleeves. You don't need the wheels at all. The rear wheels are motors, obviously you can't replace them with regular wheels.
@@sagesends i appreciate the info. Im terribly new at this and have been trying to learn. I saw a few minutes after I ask you how dumb my question was. I didn't realize how they fit on the bored. Any thanks 😊
heheh all good man. gotta start somewhere! Hopefully you can still cancel your order on the second set of wheels, you only need one.
@@sagesends i purchased the pu sleeve. But its ok about the wheels. I'll just have an extra set in the future. Keep up the dope vids 👍 💯
Did you changed the front tires too and do you have to?
no, you don't have to

I think the kit includes front wheels also
Checked his link he is actually rocking missmatched weels but they make a kit for slightly more that is the full upgrade
correct, the 90mm wheels are plenty big and work fine. Didn't wanna dish out the extra cash
what other parts or mods have you done since? recharge cable or motors been lasting? I want to add another battery!
Motors still work, no mods since. Just been riding as is with 100mm wheels. At 1800 miles now
