ordered the meepo awd pro and just waiting for the delivery. just wanted to say a big thank you for the 100mm wheel suggestion! ordered 4 for the arrival of the board! as for the cracks in the motor cone....you can order the replacement on the meepo website!!! cant wait for the ebike vids to come! thanks again
take it off, rotate it one or two screw heads, put it back on, and retighten the screws in a star pattern. This should re-seat it in a different location and make it clear
A slug huh I live down by the drive in on soquel I have the meepo AWD pro with a frozen hub where the washer busted inside. I cleared the washer but the hub is completely frozen. am I screwed
You can buy a new motor for $90 I believe. Talk to meepo tho they have a 1 year warranty on all boards if you can heckle them enough theyll send you a new hub
Yo sage, need some help please. My hex screws for the hub motors are stripped, any help you can provide? I’ve got the 100mm wheels but I can’t get the 90’s off. Anything can help thanks so much
wd-40 is actually more of a solvent than it is a lubricant. I would pull the plastic covers off the bearings and put high quality grease in there for a long lasting fix.
Is there anyway to take off JUST the outside PU (not the magnets/inner sleeve)? Like I found 90mm x 55mm PU sleeves (non-meepo product) which are just the outter actual PU sleeve/wheel. Is there a way to get that outer most PU off the sleeve and put a new one on or does the entire unit have to be replaced?
my friend's just came yesterday me and him did some driving around and the board is fairly nice but kinda unfortunate that the rear wheels aren't 100mm...
Has anyone used "rtv" sealant to fill in cracks/chips in the rubber portion of the wheels? For aviation stuff there is this super durable orange rtv glue type stuff that is great for rubber repair (high temp and abrasion resistant).
it is not necessary to fill the cracks, I've had my current PU for 1400 miles, cracks started appearing around 200 miles, and I've had no problems with the cracks spreading or the PU coming off
I had a problem with the components getting wet on a damp day so I took it apart then electrical tape and covered the whole thing with hot glue and covered the wires it doesn't get water in there
@@sagesends I went through a few puddles and messed up my first battery circuit... the battery indicator wasn't working anymore...lucky I still had the standard battery and swapped the battery now I have the long range battery fully waterproof
@@rodogg34 I think were you to go for the ER you might as well go for the NLS pro for the bigger wheels and flexy deck that come standard. NLS pro also has ER battery.
Hey dude quick question, Just bought a meepo, when upgrading from the 90mm rear wheels to 100mm do you think its necessary to buy new (100mm)front wheels as well to match the 100mm in the back?
Yes and Yes 😂. It’s reduce torque/range somewhere to 20% , Bigger wheels means lower torque. but i’m not worrying about smashing the hubs , and i can go all-terrains with inflated tires :)
english i know and google translate can provide me . your question for me it’s same thing . you need to try bigger tires to understand, from 90mm to 100mm you can feel a difference, from 90mm to 165cm you feel your start slower , breaking as well. need AWD meepo to don’t feel to much of difference.
I'm not super down to drop $150 on a new set of motors when I could just fix my perfectly working motors in 30 minutes. Not everyone has expendable income my friend.
@@sagesends I don't have expendable income either lol, just a recommendation, I didn't know they cost $150 , that makes sense, if the putty works well props to ya

oof. The AWD pro already comes with 100mm wheels lol. Might want to get a refund
MY MEEPO IS COMING TOMORROWWWWWWWW
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched all your videos twice lol thanks for the help
7 months later, how do you like it?
Good vid man, I've got my v3 coming in 2 days! You inspired me to save up for it. Hope it's as good as you say 👍 thanks for the vids
So how did u like the v3? I love mine i have 1700km on it i cant live without it
Same man
I wasn't looking for this but found it helpful nonetheless, big like!
Glad I could help
have you noticed a drop in range upgrading to the 100mm tires?
not really, if there was it would be minimal, hard to notice with the constant variables of riding
Nice dude! This is also a great way to fix curb rash on your car wheels.
also works well
Is there anywhere else we can get wheels and sleeves besides the meepo website?
I don't believe so. A third party seller might be selling them for a premium on eBay or something like that.
JB weld, you have wisdom my friend. peace
Is it normal for battery indicator to be a bit indecisive? It takes like 5 minutes for it to decide what battery percentage it’s at
Yeah, battery indicators are never very accurate
Hey Sage, did you ever experience an issue where one or more of the back wheels wouldn’t turn easily after the 100mm pu replacement?
take it off, rotate it one or two screw heads, put it back on, and retighten the screws in a star pattern. This should re-seat it in a different location and make it clear

Can you use cloud wheels 120mm on meepo v3 ?
on the front yes. the rear no, they are hub motors and need a specific sleeve.
Okay thank you
So if I get an ownboard w2 for that one i can us cloud wheels 120mm
If it's a belt driven board I imagine. Just make sure the belt sprocket has a mounting system that will work with the cloud wheels
Yo sage, need some help please. My hex screws for the hub motors are stripped, any help you can provide? I’ve got the 100mm wheels but I can’t get the 90’s off. Anything can help thanks so much
drill em out
Anyone asked meepo if they can ship caps along with PU sleeves? I don't feel like buying 140$ brand new motors because the cap is cheap
So with the trucks. I was coming home one day and it started to pour. My wheels squeak. Is it a good idea to put WD40
wd-40 is actually more of a solvent than it is a lubricant. I would pull the plastic covers off the bearings and put high quality grease in there for a long lasting fix.
Sage Sends thank you 🙏🏾
Btw what’s a good grease to get 😅
Hey I have a question is it possible to put city wheels on on the meepo v3?
Only on the front. The rear motors are totally different with a different truck system.
Will it affect how you ride like will it feel any different when riding the board with the city wheels in front?
Yeah but the board would be tilted backwards, but it would improve the ride marginally as front would be a lot more cushy

Is there a way to get that outer most PU off the sleeve and put a new one on or does the entire unit have to be replaced?
No, the PU is glued on with a very strong industrial adhesive.
Sup guys Have you had to buy any replacement parts? Besides the wheels?
I've not so far, at 2,500 now
Im planning on buying a meepo v3, have you had any issues with this board that required replacements?
no just the PU sleeves for $38
@@sagesends where do you get the sleeves? Seems to be sold out everywhere

Thankfully, there's much better hub motors on the market now, less issues.
Is it safe to go over puddles on this board
yeah should be ok, just make sure you dry if off when you get home
I had a problem with the components getting wet on a damp day so I took it apart then electrical tape and covered the whole thing with hot glue and covered the wires it doesn't get water in there
Seems like a good plan. So far I've not had any issue with water even with a few puddles

Standard

It's basically the same board just with longer range and better low battery performance.

both, mostly boardslides
Any problems with the 100mm swap?
going great 1000 miles later
Are you going to do a video on swapping out the 90 mm hubs for 100 mm?

how to clean?
rubbing alcohol or electronics cleaner.
you did not try my hubs kit :)... for meepo :)
