Followed this guide at the weekend and swapped my old chipped and faded bumper for a nice shiny new one 😎. The UK bumpers differ very slightly in that we have headlight washers. These unclip easily, one small spring clip each side and a single pipe attached to each washer head that pulls off with very little effort. Just be prepared to get wet feet 😁. Great guide, nice tip with the WD40 👍. Thanks again for posting.
Finally a good and precise footage of a how to for the front bumper. Manny thanks!!! I hope a Wednesday regarding the rear bumper will follow some day.
Great video John 👍👍 By the way my supercharged s2000 is doing fantastic! You did a Craftwerks black edition kit back in 2022. 390whp feels great on the track. Taken it to eagles canyon and Houston MsR a few times. I'm gonna remove the bumper to install a flow designs splitter and since the bumper will be off I may also install a mishimoto oil cooler kit I've had now for a couple years but was not in a great hurry to install. I appreciate the great work you guys do 👍
Great guide! I was getting ready to ruin my bumper before seeing the 10mm bolt behind the rubber trim... one of which of course I dropped. Ugh. Now for the rest of the Kraftwerks install. 50% chance that I end up giving up and shipping the car down to you guys, LOL.
Great tips as always John, I never would have considered using wd40 on clips. So helpful! Question: for a follow up if you have the footage already, would you please consider uploading the bumper removal for the 9th Gen Civic Si’s please. Thanks so much! Great video.
LHTPerformance Thank you a lot. I’m almost certain of the procedure but having added tips will come in handy when I don’t have a lift in my garage and make things a heck of a lot easier. Plus never breaking things is always a plus! 👍
I recently span out my S2000 and went into a wall that forced the entire front-end to get pushed about 50mm to one side. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm doing this video tutorial on hard mode! 🤣
Do you know the part number for the two metal tabs that connect to the bumper (you mention to carefully align when re-inserting bumper at 4:55)? It looks like one of mine is bent and makes the bumper sit just barely off against the headlight/front fender.
I watched this video and thought "damn this will be the most pain in the ass bumper I've ever removed" then I started and realized most of these bolts and clips aren't even there so it was actually the easiest lol
i guess what i meant was do you pull it straight out? corners or middle first? does it have to be a two man job. (same question for putting it back on, start with the edges or headlights or center?) that kinda thing
this is the greatest channel ever for anything s2k related... as well as just being awesome in general and a wealth of knowledge. many thanks!

I was looking for this explanation in all bumper removing vids . Thanks!
Glad I could help!
@@Rob.Coleman it is helpful. Much better to know than breaking something
All those scuffs on the bumper.. the pain of daily driving a car lol. Great video 🔥🔥👌🏾
Going to take off the front metal part to clean up now that I see it’s super easy, thanks John
You have no idea how happy I was when you said you'd clean where the rubber had been.
the screws on hondas arent philips they are JIS-- japanese industrial standard. got myself a JIS screwdriver and havent damaged a screw since
Gabriel Lundrigan Lol. And this is why I don’t offer tech anymore.....

Marcel Prinsen If an S2000 is here for a bumper removal, I’ll do it 👍🏻
Excellent. Please do a video on properly removing the rear bumper. That would help a lot of folks.
Great video I wouldn’t have the confidence to perform this without your expertise John.
Thank you!
Great video John 👍👍

Awesome! Sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for piping in
Hi John. I am from the future... it's Tech Tuesday over here.😉 Great tech tips, btw!👍 Love this channel and all you do. Cheers, buddy.

Love these tech vids! You guys are the best.

Andrew Stewart Good idea, we may just do that 👍🏻

Thanks for the WD40 tip. I got to that point and got stuck so this video was just what I needed.
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing your tips with us.
Excellent video, really you guys are life savers.
Rolando Tillit Glad it helps 👍🏻
I see new s2000 video. I click.
Love the WD-40 trick. I was just removing a bumper a few days ago and thought I was going to break it popping it off by the headlight.
Another good video, my only gripe with your channel is........ we need more videos 😎
Very helpful. Thanks for posting this video. Another idea for a video? Remove and reinstall headlights?
Thank You! (I'll echo the request for an accompanying video covering the removal of the rear bumper on the S2000.)
Thank you . These videos help big time.
Great tutorial! How about rear bumper?
Thanks for the tips!
Omg...have been waiting forever for this video. Sweeeet
i'm gonna come back to this vid when it comes time to take my bumper off! thanks!! :)
Hi John, may i know what you use to clean those grindings that make the plastic sticks? @t=5:41
I wish I saw this video when I did my SOS install. It was a pain in the ass to get off lol.
Hey, does the s2000 come with a piece of foam for under the front bumper
greg8896 They do, but often missing.
Any tips for baldly aligned bumpers around the headlights? Think the clips may need to be pinched slightly to grip the bumper better.
J H It’s difficult to say without seeing it.

I don’t. I’m sure if you can describe there location your local Honda dealership can order them for you
Nice tips!
Man, another great video !!
- I got stuck on the front clips since the guy I bought my s2k from must have botched it and put epoxy in place! what a pain.
great video@
Is this the same for an ap2 bumper? My bumper doesn't have the screw inside the hood next to the fenders.
BarcaStudio Yes. Exactly the same process
I watched this video and thought "damn this will be the most pain in the ass bumper I've ever removed" then I started and realized most of these bolts and clips aren't even there so it was actually the easiest lol
Thanks for the vid
TFW I break my splitter off, go to change the bumper, and learn that the whole thing wasn't bolted down at all 🙃
Thanks 🙏
What the hell happens between 4:32 and 4:35???
well shit that was helpful but i wanted to see the actual pulling off and snapping back in of the whole thing
JeremyFromJersey That’s the easy part.
i guess what i meant was do you pull it straight out? corners or middle first? does it have to be a two man job. (same question for putting it back on, start with the edges or headlights or center?) that kinda thing
Needs to have a colab with Rob Dahm and lht with his poor insight
