There's a Homebrew called Valaren remastered which brings back both the Healer and the warrior path to V5 and ever since finding those on storytellers vault I don't run without em.
Other than that I hate how V5 butchered my second favorite Clan but as someone who enjoys the flow of V5 I just use Legacy Bane and not that bleeding nonsense

@@EthanKristopherHartley You really had to go there? It was a phase ok? We all have them! 🙄 Actually if you really wanna see what we do with the Baali these days come here and go down that door. I have one of them locked up, on their request, in the basement. Trying some advance therapy you see. Now go down that door there, just go in to that room and you'll see them locked up. Ah, my favorite clan. While V5 did do them dirty, I still enjoy them even to this day. Something about the tragedy of them, combined with their spiritual path of Galconda makes them real compelling. I am currently playing a healer Salubri that is in a relationship with another PC, a Tremere surprisingly. We kinda had this idea of the 'enemies to lovers' trope taken to it's extreme, and decided to run with it. Of course, nobody told the Salubri that the Tremere was secretly a Bahari :P.
It's really funny cause my Salubri normally hides their third eye underneath a headband with a bandage underneath, and has had to take steps to keep it hygenic. Normally I try my best to conceal her third eye and even her clan, as most people in the city think my Salubri is a Toreador (her adopted sire is Velvet Velour from Bloodlines. My ST has done a lot to flesh out her character.). But yeah, I do use a bit homebrew of homebrew for my Obeah... I really don't like how they tried to fit Obeah and Valern in Dominate and Auspex.... it makes very little sense.
In my headspace Saulot has taken over Tremere's body. Salubri will have their revenge. I am not sure how will play this clan since I prefer predator type reflects Character history. My character will be more the Warrior Caste than a healer studying in both Kindred anatomy and kine but to have a more precise attack and percision. It wouldn't favor the Sabbat because the way sect does things is antithesis to my character doing things. It will be more of a loner and making contacts in both the Anarchs and Camirilla for feeding purposes. It rules out Consensualist as Predator type but perhaps a Alley Cat. It probably try to be hire assassin or detective of sorts. Probably has decent Auspex, Dominate and Fortitude. As for weakness I just hate the Bane in V5.
Saulot did take over Tremere. And Tremere took over Goratrix. Saulot has a habit of having others kill off his progeny for some reason. Maybe one day he'll figure out how to make a clan that isn't hated by other vamps.
Of all the Clans, V5E screwed my beloved Salubri over worst. They were THE can for me back in the V:TDA days...
V5 did all the Clans dirty, but the Salubri and Tzimisce most of all
I could see a Settite having a BALL trying to corrupt a salubri. Their gentle nature and unsavory reputation in vampire society..... Plus as you said, they are lonely, makes manipulation easier.
Sabbat Salubri are terrifying
Been playing a salubri antitribu on and off for 3 years. Everyone thinks hes an ex-enforcer on honerable accord so was okay with the sabbat trouble is he's actually a chopper/omar style stick up artist whose stoicism is actually absolute disdain for the sword and its treatment of kine.
Hes a ticking time bomb and the gm has comented he's effectively turning into a warrior salubri.
Its genrally agreed he's going to go blade/punisher and the gm is in the progress of building to it. His resignation is currently scheduled for the palla grande

I love the Salubri, the Healers specifically. Just a complete antithesis to what Vampires are supposed to be, yet Bloodsuckers all the same.
Just a gentle soul forced to hurt others to live. Yet trying to heal the damage they cause.
There are plenty of Discord servers and FB pages where people would be interested!
I'm currently playing an ex-Sabbat Fury (former Syrian YPJ member) turned Indie. She hasn't revealed her clan to anyone yet, but one of her really good friends is (unknown to her) a Tremere. And I cannot wait for the day the drama unfolds. It's so much fun. Also, Grim Reaper is what I chose, I wish I had the heart to have taken Oblivion and really leaned into the soul eater thing, but alas. Maybe I can find a way to get it elsewhere.
I still not understand why Salubri got not one but three weakness.
With the eye, the blood crying and that their blood is super tasty and gets your diablerized.
I low-key kinda like the Kuei-Jin; I like that they tired to do vampires from the Asian cultures and it made them more unique than the Liabon who are just African cainite clans basically.
Pretty much yeah. A lot of people when discussing representation with the kuie jin being problamatic because theyre not kindred. Trouble is vtm kindred are westerm pop culture vampires so even if you make an asian kindred its still problamatic theyre everywere.
Koe actually makes as asian pop culture undead. The only real issue is asian hell which is easily ammended to dharmic hell.
@@clairestark9024 I always viewed the 1000 hells as islands in the underworld or parts of the Labyrinth. My main problem with the Kuei-Jin is their “religious racism” towards the kindred. Sure there absolutely would be Kuei-Jin racist towards the kindred just like there would be kindred racist towards the Kuei-Jin; but the whole religious aspect doesn’t make sense like it does for the werewolves and kinda colors all the kuei-Jin as the bad guys that did racist attacks first. Especially since the kuei-Jin are way more damned and often more terrible people than the kindred
@@eyeofthoth2003 neat angle. The religious hatred makes sense as part of an inherant inclination toward disdain and thats just the rationale. At best kindred are a territorial/predatorial rival but more genrally if youre not one then you have little reaaon to not hate them.

@@eyeofthoth2003 i mean its not a big plot point and easy to the switch. To quote a mate about vampires in w5 not being wyrm tainted. "Its a dead thing which destroys and corrupts everything it touches. Its wyrm status is academic to its extermination."
Yeah, V5 bane is awful, it’s just 3 banes in one, an eye, bleeding, blood that makes others frenzy.
Regarding Saulot loresheet, are we making hybrids now?
There have been a few Flaws where a Tremere character has sprouted a third eye, but this Loresheet is a little push lol

Can a salubri use mask of a thaoisand faces to hide the third eye if so could be a really cool tarot card reader.
Technically no, as any Discipline use causes the eye to bleed, meaning Obfuscate is pointless
No supernatural mean can obscure it.
@@LoreByNightVtMweird, the Watchers have Obfuscate in-clan. So maybe they just use it for the rank 1 and 2 abilities?
The proper Caste does not have the eye bleed thing. That is a pure 5th Edition "quirk"
