Eh, pretty sure they just mirrored the video horizontally, folks. He probably isn't doing superhuman writing. Just stating Occam's Razor here.

Really? I spent weeks and months learning to be right handed and writing backwards to make these videos. ... joking - you are right - the system flips the video to make the writing correct, but it does make me appear to use my right hand, whereas I am actually left handed.

Thank you for the greatest work! And how to find the e-book, the link is unavailable now, what a pity.

This is brilliant!! The math hurts my brain but the sponge o graph is awesome, such a great visual. I’m a soils teacher at a horticultural college and want to try that out but what is the board make of? I tried it on paper and a whiteboard but didn’t get the same effect. Added food colouring to the water but still not as detailed. What am I miss here??? Cheers

    Thank you for the video.
What will be the maximum height a sponge can lift water?
If we have a depth/ height of water of 1 meter and 1000 ml in volume, we put in a sponge that is 2 metres in height with an absorbing capacity of 1500 ml of water, will the water raise upto the top of the sponge and water fully absorbed by it?

Look at Jurins Law for the height inside the sponge. Depends on contact angel and surface tension.

This really depends on the sponge. we have tested fiberglass wicks, and they can readily pull water up 2 m. I guess your bathroom towel might be able to pull water up its entire height.

I think what’s happening is the camera is flipping the image (my iPad does that from the forward facing camera). Writing on the mirror flips the image back again so it looks like he’s writing backwards. Or maybe the he has spent many hour’s practicing backward writing. If so then that is some serious commitment
