Watching that incredibly warm hug with your grandfather after all you'd been through brought tears to my eyes. Enjoy the family time, dude, you earned it.
The ear to ear smile and latch on bear hug from your grandpa just made my day. All of my grandparents have moved on and I miss their undeniable love and support. Best wishes to your and your family !!!
One of the best in TH-cam land and you know it! ❤ Hilarious conversation with your RV. The reunion 🫂 was awesome. This trip has had a crazy beginning already. I wish you well. God bless you Dustin. 🙏 We'll be praying for ya.
I'm so glad you're okay. Watching devastating footage on the news made my heart ache for those caught and cut off by landslides and flooding. But that waterfall, though... Wow! Absolutely gorgeous!
Man your camera skills are next level. You are the hardest working TH-camr I suscribe too. I appreciate your love for telling the story and getting us the shots. Hopefully all those people can recover from that flood quickly
That shot right at the end hugging your Grandpa is priceless. My Grandpa passed when I was about your age and I miss him everyday. It’s been more than 20 years, treasure those moments, they’re the best.👍💯I inherited his Cadillac and it’s my daily , brings a smile to my face every time I get behind the wheel.
I'd say you got out by the (very impressive) hair on your chinny chin chin! So glad you were able to get through to a place where you are warm and dry and loved. Mom and I haven't seen my sister in over 2 years as she lives in Oregon. We'll get there. As always, awesome vid. Thanks.
I was wondering if you made it out past Abbotsford before Hwy 1 was closed. That was close! One day later and you'd be stuck behind one of the washouts on the major highways. Loved the big hug at the end :) Safe travels!
Looking forward to watching this, but my partner and I always watch your videos together. Have to wait a while more. Hoping the upload means you’re somewhere safe!
It’s great to see you’re ok Dustin! We live in Hope, BC and currently can’t leave our little town due to either mudslides or the roads are completely gone. Over the past 3 days we’ve had over 1000 people from other communities that couldn’t make it home. Emergency crews temporarily opened Highway 7 last night to those trapped. They were worried about our food and gas supplies as our grocery stores couldn’t handle the extra people. It’s going to take a long time for BC to recover from this one. Stay safe!
How soon we forget. The flooding last year was devastating to so many people> I remember the farmers in the Fraser Valley rescuing their cows, or trying to. So sad. We were safely tucked away in our cabin here in the Yukon, and the flooding down south, was snow up here. We had more snow here in the Yukon than there has been since the 60s. It was incredible. This year, we seem to be getting the opposite. There isn't really enough to run the sled yet. That sunshine in Seattle musta been so welcome! Thank you sharing the heart warming reunion of grandson with grandpa!
The one person who disliked this video is the type of person that's wrong with this world. That was an amazingly narrow "escape" Dustin. I'm glad you made it out. Enjoy your well deserved and very overdue family time. Treasure every moment. Nā huakaʻi palekana Aloha maikaʻi ma kēia huakaʻi maikaʻi loa 🤙
Or perhaps they don’t think it’s safe (or legal mind you) to be fiddling around with cameras, while driving a 20k pound motor home at highway/freeway speeds during a major storm. Or maybe they didn’t like the music, or him, or the editing. Who cares! Maybe what’s really wrong with people is their failure to see another perspective than their own and respect a difference of opinion. ✌️
My Nephew, First Sgt. Nicholas Berkey, is the top dog at the Vancouver US Army Base. Stop by and say hi to him if you like. Thank you for this video. I understand the stress you had with the rain. I love the places you have taken me !! Thank you!! Happy Holidays to you and yours. Suzanne
Omg. Tears. What a beautiful moment with your grandpa. ❤️ Your video did a great job of giving feeling to the situation our neighbours in the south are experiencing. Wishing them all the best. Glad you made it through safely.
Man, you need some "Let's Whip It" merch, lol. Everytime you say it. I get so hyped to go out and do some exploring. Thanks for keeping a fire lit under my butt to keep going down every unknown road I come across.
Glad you made it safe, thought you were going to have to float out of there. The end just about brought a tear to my eye. I lost my grandpa a few years ago, miss him everyday.
Now that you're South of the border and some drier weather. 🤗 There is a sealant you can buy to paint over your roof it will stop that leaking😜 I can't remember what it's called but it's like a rubber paint ❤️ best of luck to you glad you made it South of the border to your grandparents safe and sound
I remember that rain and flooding. The "atmospheric river'!! It was bad news. Cool seeing you drive through my home state of Washington. I may have cried a little there at the end. Could nearly feel that hug and smell of my grandpa. I know you enjoyed every second of your time together. ❤❤❤
Wow, you JUST snuck out. The Fraser valley was hit hard, so your timing could not have been tighter. Sorry about the I5 - it's a fine highway, but man, it's a dull drive. Have a great trip, D - looking forward to more adventures.
I wish I could hug either of my grandfathers again like you did there but they've both been gone since 2004 and 2007 respectively. Cherish every moment with the grandparents you have as long as you can have them
I literally just flew to Arizona from Seattle during that storm. Attended my 100 yr old grandfathers funeral then drove back to Seattle with my 96yr old grandmother. Glad you got to see your grandparents.
Man, BC has just been hammered this year! Too bad you couldn't do 101 down Wa and Or. ...Perhaps on your way back up? (I haven't seen I-5 that "empty" since the 80's! )
So happy you got through safe. It was so nice seeing the Seattle area, my old stomping ground, I used to live there. Take care and I am happy that you’re able to see your grandparents
I live near where these major floods occurred and sadly the farmers and residences are still 'under repair'. Lots of people suffered huge losses. Really hope all will be well soon ..it's been a long wait for them to get resolution. Really appreciated seeing your video on this, and the accurate commentary too!
Hi Dustin! You missed a big mudslide just south of Bellingham that closed I-5 for at least 12 hours. Then, the Skagit River in Mt.Vernon tried valiantly to flood the entire old downtown but for a recent installation of $30 million in quick erectable flood walls. They saved that town and that system will be watched by municipalities all over the regions as a result since the climate changes are affecting us all in this region. That was some massive storm system. Poor BC and the Sumas Prairie that dips into the US! It's still only Fall, too. Finger crossed, friends! Enjoy your southern escape, Dustin!!
Heard there was a bunch of rain up there. Got a friend who grew up in Bellingham. I was thinking * maybe it's time for pontoons:) Hope you had a great visit with grandpa. Be cool Justin, say safe, and peace.
It's sure bad in b.c. the island got hit bad to. It's sad to see... covid shut downs, wild fires, then horrific floods. It will be interesting to see how the snow falls this year. Have a great trip. Glad your ok. Exited to see all the great travel videos. Congrats on the news spot.
I have been enjoying your videos a bunch! What a tremendous effort from a one man band. It's one thing just to watch the finished product but quite another to imagine the work required to put it all together. Explore the path, figure out where to put the camera, go back and walk past the camera, go back and get the camera and do it all over again! Wow! Crack a beer and edit.. .and edit...and edit and edit! Thanks for showing us all the places to put on our bucket list.
I think and would almost bet that your video all the rivers and water coming off the mountains is one of a few if not the only one. It showed how bad things where starting to get, and I would think bridal falls does not look like that now or never again. So happy seeing you having the chance to reignite with family as there is nothing better.
Wow that's some bad weather, love yr positive attitude and loved seeing you hug yr grandad, grandparents are special. I don't have mine any more and miss them so much so look after yours bro D 👌
The smile on your Grandpa’s face was worth watching all the way to the end.
All those farms and homes under water😢your reunion with your Grandpa priceless😊
This was am emotional video. Especially when you seen your grandpa for the first time in three years. I love your grandpa!!! So sweet!!!
Nothing is sweeter then the warm embrace of someone who truly loves you.

I have had good success with 4 inch Enternabond tape for leaks. Stay safe
I'm so glad you're okay. Watching devastating footage on the news made my heart ache for those caught and cut off by landslides and flooding. But that waterfall, though... Wow! Absolutely gorgeous!
It was heartwarming to see someone have a happy ending this week. BC's affected communities are in for a long haul.
Man your camera skills are next level. You are the hardest working TH-camr I suscribe too. I appreciate your love for telling the story and getting us the shots. Hopefully all those people can recover from that flood quickly
wow tears when you hugged your grandpa stay safe dude!!!

Glad you got through it pretty much unscathed, Dustin! Sending love to all my fellow BC people ❤️
I’m across the hiway from bridal falls….. glad you were able to stay safe cause you dodged a bullet🌺

Wow, you JUST snuck out. The Fraser valley was hit hard, so your timing could not have been tighter. Sorry about the I5 - it's a fine highway, but man, it's a dull drive. Have a great trip, D - looking forward to more adventures.
Dull drive lol? People actually come from quite a distance to bike on the stretch of i5 from Seattle to Portland
I wish I could hug either of my grandfathers again like you did there but they've both been gone since 2004 and 2007 respectively. Cherish every moment with the grandparents you have as long as you can have them
Glad you got through the Fraser Valley safely. Very close call. It's pretty bad here now. Geez...fires, flood...you deserve a vacation!
I literally just flew to Arizona from Seattle during that storm. Attended my 100 yr old grandfathers funeral then drove back to Seattle with my 96yr old grandmother. Glad you got to see your grandparents.
