- In this video I review a custom 1987 Supercharged Mustang Notchback which is an aero car that was converted to a 4 Eye.
John built this car as a tribute to his best friend’s father Dale, who lost his battle with cancer.
Power is provided by a stock bottom 302 with a B Cam, GT40 heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake and Vortech V1 Supercharger.
Exhaust flows through BBK shorty headers and SpinTech 9000 mufflers.
Transmission is a stock T-5 with Exedy stage 2 clutch.
Wheels are BBS RK II which are a 3 piece wheel.
Front wheels are 18x7 with 225-45 tire and the rear is mini tubbed with an 18x13 wheel and 335-30 tires.

You gotta give this guy a lot of credit for knowing where to NOT spend money in order to make it a show car on a reasonable budget. This proves that you don't need a crazy expensive motor to be good enough to impress everyone. That said... stock bottom end, b-cam, gt40 V1 doesn't deserve to have such a beautiful interior! If it were my car I'd probably spend the money to make the motor have as much personality as the Tangerine paint.
I watched the video again. John knocked it out of the park with DALE. This car is absolutely amazing and tops my FAVORITES LIST.
Thank you so much!!❤
Easily one of the nicest 4 eyes I’ve ever come across and I’m a 30 year fox body veteran. Great work!
Thank you so much!!
Two of the best dudes ever! Thanks for sharing Dale with us Johnny!
Ahhh…thanks buddy! Appreciate you!
Aww shucks! Thank you my friend! Hope to see you soon!

It’s 2023 if you can’t put AC your car don’t build one. It’s laziness or cheapness either way it’s lame in 2023.
Youre a class act, Hats off to you sir. God rest his soul. RIP Mr Dale
As a four eye owner, all I can say is Wow and Dale is a great build to gain inspiration from. Great job John and thanks Brother Tom for filming this and sharing.
Appreciate you for watching and commenting!
Thank you, I truly appreciate it!
Great video Tom! One of the most awesome Foxbody builds on the planet! Much respect to John! 💯👊🏾
Thanks bro! I appreciate it!😊
Keep featuring cool Foxbody’s!!! Great video as always!!!
Wow, what a beautiful foxbody and that colour pops so nice, I started craving for an orange.

Seems like a great guy. Nice story. Very nice car.
Thank you!
Beautiful demonstration 💪💪💪 and my buddy's from BAMA... ROLL TIDE and super clean ride. Elmore County tapping in💪💪💪 #LongLiveDale
Thank you! ROLL TIDE!
I love any notch, but I have to say, I love your taste in cars. Dale is a great mix of conservative design blended with over the top, where appropriate. Congrats on a great build!
Hey John, I couldn't help myself I just had to watch this video again. What an exceptional car indeed. High fives to you and all involved in this brilliant creation. Continued success with DALE.
Much appreciated!! Thank you!
Awesome tribute. Been out of the fox game for a long while and recently back in. Dale is very similar to a dream build I’ve been assembling in my mind over the year. Taking the things I like, and doing it “My” way. 85-86 nose! Newer body, newer fender with larger opening, the floor pan mods, concealed mini tubs, etc. In my dream, it would be NA and have AC 😁. Anyway, I’m going to go check out your podcast. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you.. and keep us posted on that build!
Noice interview noice car & tribute luv it !!! The owner seems like a cool guy when I go to these shows I can't seem to find owners like him willing to share wisdom & info most seems stuck up/ star struck you definitely got a new follower does the owner have a channel
John does not have a channel but he does have an Instagram linked below. He also has a podcast called FiveO Asylum linked in the video description.

Great build. Absolutely phenomenal job well done
Thank you!
John‘s car is absolute fire. The attention to detail is second to none and it’s definitely something you need to see in person.🤘🏻😀🤘🏻
Much appreciated brother!!
This car is absolutely SUPER-TRICK. The color and all the details as explained by the owner is absolutely done to the highest standards. This is my all time favorite FOX BODY hands down no exceptions. My personal favorite color option came on 1996 Mustangs (Bright Tangerine basecoat/clearcoat). This GM color option is fantastic by all means. Awesome display of a FOX BODY.
Thank you very much for watching and commenting!
Man I really appreciate that! Thank you for loving you some Dale!😁

Love the car so much.
Thank you!
Beautiful car
Thank you!
Super sick build, love all the subtle touches like the dimple died core support bracket for the new rad, very clean install. Clean engine bay like my notch I'm starting to work on again, and I must find that trunk strut kit for mine too, to match the ones I have on the hood.
Thank you! FFP customs for those trunk struts.
Love the color
Thank you!
That is as custom acar I've seen brother 🫡🤑
Thank you!
So good, rawr

SWEEEETTTTT build !
Thank you!!
I have a Camero. But that mustang is awesome. And what a great story.
Thank you!
Beautiful 🦊 body..ford power 💪💯
Thank you!!
Hey there where can I get a set of those front lights
Awesome car!! What did he mean by long tube headers will burn you up? Thanks for the videos!!
I've ran long tube headers in the past and from my experience they put off more heat than shorty headers do.
John, one other detail. Can I get a copy of Mustang Hub Magazine with Dale on the cover or was that just a favor to the car owner from the magazine publisher?
Did he talk about the 90-93 steeling wheel? No airbags in 87
Good eye... it's actually a 92 dash, console and steering column. As is the wiring in the car! The wheel is also from an SSP car with no Cruise on the wheel.
@BrotherTom he said the wheels are Tom Clarke from where? Thank you
Tom Clark (Sinisbuilt) is who put them together for me! They are custom made.
Badass car and super nice guy has helped me out on Instagram a couple times.
Thank you for the kind words!
💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎
Was this car ever in Virginia?
No sir.. built in Bama.
Who painted the car? Looks amazing
A young man local to me.. it was his first all over paint job! Colman Goble!
Heigth?😅
An 87 didn't have 4 headlights that ended n 86 which is the 1st yr for fuel injection
We do discuss this in the video. Also why the title says ‘custom’.
John’s is better.
😂😂😂... thanks bro!🤘🏻🤘🏻
