Congratulations Alec on hitting 5,000. It's no surprise given the quality of your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and expertise, much appreciated! 👍
Alex, an update before winter hits and the fish go down. As I said in my last comment top hats catching everywhere. Favourite size up here is a 12 and tied with dark brown thread.
Alex, i tie a lot of flies and give away most of them. Congrats on 5000, im at 6 people now converted to top hats, all taking fish at various venues. Cracking fly.
There is no right way or wrong way in fly tying , go with your ideas then the fish let you know if they work or not , some do and some don't, that's the fun in fly tying 👍🎣🐟
Good to see you’ve reached the 5000 Alec, another excellent video. Thanks for posting..🎣👍
Cheers , that's much appreciated 👍🎣🐟

They will definitely catch until we get the hard frost of winter , but October and early November can be mild some years 👍🎣🐟
Great to watch you tying the flys keep up the good work
Much appreciated William 👍🎣🐟

Thanks William 👍🎣🐟
Great fly 👏👏
Thank you 👍🎣🐟
Nice one Alec, killer pattern. I add a small red slf or seals fur thorax to some of mine, they make a good change fly especially on the evening rise.
Thanks Paul, yes you can make lots of variations to the pattern for your local water and have great action off the surface .👍🎣🐟
Instead of thorax could you use white dots for wing buds ps top hats are deadly thanks

Hi Alec …can you advise me the name of the micro brushes used for applying the resin !!!…thanks
It's the brush which comes inside the lid of the resin bottle as standard Jimbob .🎣🐟
Nice job
Cheers Sean , much appreciated 👍🎣🐟
Tasty any recommendations emerging olive patterns for fussy wild browns?
Hares ear patterns, olive top hat or olive cdc shuttlecock should tempt them 👍🎣🐟
@@alecharveyfishingandflytying thanks will get tying
Alex sorry to pester you but do you fish the top hat as a single fly or do you use a dropper egg a nothing fly?
Normally on its own .👍🎣🐟
