      Hi its me again. Planning to buy the clear case. Just want to know if dust comes in easily on the sides like the apple clear case. Or its much better beacause you mentioned that its harder to remove and a nicer fit on the phone. Thanks and again more power to the channel 🙂

    You saved some money thank you! I was a step away to order the clear one, but because I use the phone naked at home it would be a PITA every time to remove the case!

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! It's a great case...but not a good choice for frequent case changers!!! You might want to consider a CASETiFY Impact? Those are going to be easier to remove, although they do have colored sides. Same goes for the Mous Clarity 2.0, although you have colored sides again. And the Speck Presidio Lux isn't too hard to get off, either, and it is all clear. Good luck with your case choice!!

    I have the clear for my 15 pro max and concur w/ everything said, its a fantastic case. One anecdotal note ill give though is you do NOT want to be taking this thing on and off because of how snug the fit is. I had to warranty my first one as removing the phone by flexing it out cracked the coating they likely use to prevent yellowing. The coating was coming off in tiny flakes in one of the corners.
    That being said aside from that the coating has been strong and i haven't had any other issues w/ it over the course of a month. Would recommend the case as long as you don't feel the need to remove it once it's on.

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree on the Clear case removal...it is one of the most difficult cases to remove that I have encountered. Interesting on the coating issue you encountered...I haven't had any similar problems. Glad that RHINOSHIELD took care of it under warranty!

    • @palashkale
      @palashkale 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I also have the coating removed in flakes, the coating does prevent the fingerprint smudging quite a bit compared to other cases, but it does absolutely nothing for microscratches, and in my case they also didn’t entertain any warranty. In my personal opinion, they use the coating for its oleophobic properties, and not for anti yellowing, in my experience no case with a hard pc back ever had any yellowing on the back only on the tpu sides, and this case is made entirely of the same material so it will most likely not yellow, but they shouldn’t use this coating, as this starts to peel off quite easily, they should start using a frosted/Matte finish as a option for their clear case without any coating to prevent smudges and scratches, like what phoneRebel, some spigen, esr and Ringke cases also do, these finishes are very good, a bit more slick than glossy finishes but very long lasting.

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry to hear that you got micro scratches on your Clear! I can see them not covering scratching under their warranty, but if the coating is flaking off, that seems like something that should be covered!!

      @@TheTechReviewer Rhinoshield don’t directly sell here in India, it’s just some partnership or some kind of agreement, where the Indian Company imports after the customer orders, the timeline in which they deliver and the stock availability is laughable, so I wasn’t surprised when they refused to entertain warranty 🥲

    For the clear case, if you have your camera protected you can use the cutout as leverage to push the phone out. The snug fit is slightly annoying for sure but this particular model looks and feels amazing on the 15 PM.

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @kiv5555! I absolutely love the Clear, despite how hard it is to remove. It's a great case, and the smallest of all of RhinoShield's case options (although offering the same 11 ft drop protection). And you are certainly correct that you can use the camera opening for a bit more assistance in removing the case. Still not a great choice for frequent case changers or nervous case removers, though.

      Thanks so much, @Cobie214! I think I went a little too much in depth (I couldn't believe how long the review ended up being!!!), but there was just a lot of stuff to cover. I'm really pleased with the changes to the Mod NX this year...I think it is so much more usable. And the Clear is fantastic...as long as you almost never remove it. Which Rhinoshield case would you say is the grippiest/softest to the touch for the iPhone 15 pro? I had a Mod NX on my iPhone 13 and my main gripe was that it was quite hard and slippery. It seems the Mod NX has improved in that area? Is the Clear softer/grippier at all?

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The grippiest and most comfortable RhinoShield case for the 15 Pro in my experience is the CircularNext. It’s not very grippy, but it has a little bit of texture in it, as compared with the regular SolidSuit, which is completely smooth. And it does feel softer in the hand to me than the ModNX, Clear or JellyTint.

    • @valhalmusic
      @valhalmusic 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the answer! Apart from the circular next, which would come next? Also I'm wondering if they are all just as thick

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thickness is similar...I think the ModNX may be the thickest of the bunch. In terms of grip, RhinoShield isn't known for their grippy cases!! After the CircularNext, I think the SolidSuit is probably the softest in the hand, but it is going to be noticeably more slippery.
      Basically, the Clear and the JellyTint are more or less the same case...just clear vs colored. And the SolidSuit and CircularNext are more or less the same case...but for whatever reason, the CircularNext sample that was sent out to me to review was textured, and the other SolidSuit cases I've seen this year have not been.
      Finally, the ModNX and CrashGuardNX are siblings...quite similar in design.
      Hope this helps!

    Hello Kristen! Does the backplate of the Mod NX Case loosen when removing MagSafe accessories, such as vehicle mounts? The last time I used this case was its iPhone 12 iteration, and that version would come loose whenever I removed the device from vehicle mounts.

      Hi! Good question! I don't think you would have that problem with the updated Mod NX design. The backplates are much more secure now. They redesigned the way the backplate fits into the case sides, and it is definitely an improvement!

    I bought one of the clear ones with a Harry Potter print and after just one week of regular use i noticed some bits coming off. I tried to run my nails along the edge which was now rough and realised that the print was scratching off quite easily. I'm quite disappointed to be honest. In comparison, I have had a casetify case in the past and the print was way thicker making it tougher to remove. Are you experiencing the same with your Rhinoshield cases?

    Is the mod nx thicker/wider compared to solidsuit? When used only as a bumper, will it provide more drop protection although solidsuit has previously been the most drop protection, but since the 14 series it has become softer material, but now I guess even the crashguard material is different compared to before, but does that make that less protective also?

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @palashkale! So, the Mod NX is the largest of the RHINOSHIELD iPhone 15 Pro cases. Slightly thicker, wider and taller than the SolidSuit and the Clear. The next biggest is the SolidSuit and the smallest is the Clear. According to RHINOSHIELD, all four case models (SolidSuit, Clear, Mod NX and CrashGuard) have the same amount of drop protection of 11 ft. I haven't seen the CrashGuard this year, but in previous years, it was the same as the Mod NX...just without a backplate. I assume the same is probably true this year. And the material of the Mod NX sides (and probably the CrashGuard sides) is really not any different than in previous years. The SolidSuit material has changed a lot (moved to a zero texture feel that is quite slippery), but not the Mod NX. Hope this helps!

    • @palashkale
      @palashkale 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TheTechReviewer thanks a lot, I really liked the crashguard for my iPhone 13, it was very solid and not fall out on its own, sure the sides bowed out, but only when done intentionally, other than that it was a very tight fit, and gave the confidence that it won’t slip in case of a face first drop, in my personal experience, my iPhone rarely ever dropped on the corners it always went for the face first, and all rhinoshield cases have very less front lip compared to many other rugged cases, but due to the tight fit it did manage to stay in place, the previous solidsuit (till iPhone 13) effectively had the same material on the side as the crashguard, not grippy but very tight, but the new material seems to be a bit loose, also some reviews on amazon for the 14 case have mentioned over time the case has deformed without doing anything, I think that Rhinoshield previously was a company focussed on drop protection and had a bit of customization with the buttons, now they seem to be really focussed on customization (which is fine) but their focus on recyclability has hurt their drop protection (the new solidsuit material is mentioned to be TPE on their website which is a great material as a shock absorber inside the case but not so good to make the whole case) but I had read somewhere that TPE is really easy to recycle (I believe that’s what they are going towards given their eco friendly push) and just like Apple they are compromising on quality for environment marketing (without a proper case recycling program, there’s no point to all this) The crashguard on the other hand had the same sides like the OG solidsuit, also somehow by design crashguard had a great grip once you got used to it despite being thicker than any case I had used, because the finger naturally rested on the other side of the bumper, and as you mentioned that the new finish on the bumper makes it even more grippy. There’s just one issue, earlier when I used it as a full case with backplate, it had no rim, the case was flush, so I could use any accessories I wanted just like a normal case but now the rim is permanent, which means I won’t be able to use my wallet and battery pack in landscape both of which have a stand feature, now because I have a 15 plus in portrait the rim won’t bother me, because my esr geo wallet and anker 621 will fit easily inside the rim. But I believe their solidsuit is the case lineup has suffered the most, all the changed they have made has made it objectively worse.

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have clearly done your research, and make some excellent points! So, the material that the SolidSuit was made of when first released last year, for the iPhone 14 series, was really different than any SolidSuit had ever been, and I believe it had a longer term durability problem and a tendency to stretch out. They changed the material after it had been out for a while, and I think that helped, but now this year, you have a completely new look and feel with the TPE. You make an interesting point that the switch to TPE may be for recyclability reasons...that could certainly be true. My pet theory is that the old SolidSuit material (the same material that the Mod NX and CrashGuard are still made of) just wasn't compatible with MagSafe. They held off adding MagSafe rings to their cases for a really long time...maybe it was because they couldn't get their material to work right with the addition of MagSafe rings. Just my theory, though.

    • @palashkale
      @palashkale 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheTechReviewer o yes, magsafe compatibility, It didn’t strike me, yes this could very well be the case 🤓

    • @TheTechReviewer
      @TheTechReviewer  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well, I always thought it was extremely odd that it took them so long to come out with MagSafe cases...there must have been some reason, and materials could have been the reason. However, they have only recently started talking about recycled content and mono material recyclability, so you could be right as well...
