- In today's video I walk you through making a Giant Quilt Block Quilt. All you need to make this 60.25" x 60.25" quilt is...
Supplies:
12 Fat Quarters
1.5 yard of background/border 1
From FQ's Cut-
8 8.5" x 16.5" Rectangles
20 8.5" x 8.5" Squares
24 4.5" x 8.5" Rectangles
4 4.5" x 6.5" Rectangles
4 2.5" x 4.5" Rectangles
From Yardage Cut:
Cut 4 8.5" x WOF Strips
Sub-cut to 16- 8.5" x 8.5" Squares
Cut 5 2.5" x WOF Strips
Follow the video for verbal and visual instruction.
Project 2 ends up 18.5" x 58.5"
Remember the more you add or the bigger the initial squares as said in video, will yield you a bigger quilt.

Beautiful quilting on the finished large block quilt! Great idea,😊❤😊
I love these projects! I can hardly wait to give it try! I'd love to see more of these big block quilts. They act like a palate cleanser in between bigger quilt projects. Great tutorial Tiffany.
I'm so very sorry Scott.
I'm ever so grateful for your service. We are all so blessed we have been born into this awesome country and off those who keep it safe so we can walk free.
Thank you for your service. ❤
🇺🇸
You are so ‘on trend’ with what’s ‘out there ‘ - you know the ‘Pottery Barn ‘ look?
Way to go!
I’m seriously thinking about doing this for my ‘old’ kids (40’s) who hate traditional quilts.
Thanks for sharing
Tiffany, I love, love this idea! You are so creative! I love that you were able to get a bonus project out of the extra pieces! I love two for one projects! I love that you also gave ideas for using a layer cake! I have quite a few layer cakes and would love to make this! I’m making a list of must do projects for next year and this is at the top of my list! I always love your tutorials! They are easy to understand and follow! I’m not a new to quilting but I love a quick, easy project. I find that being a full time caregiver for my 86 year old father doesn’t always leave me much time for sewing! Sometimes we just need a less complicated pattern to follow and just when I seem to need it, you come through with a stunning option to create a beautiful quilt without a ton of complicated pieces to fiddle with! Thank you so much for sharing! You are the first quilting TH-camr that I began following and I’m so very glad I found you!!! ❤❤❤ Much love to you, Scott and your family! Oh and, please thank Scott for his service! My family and I appreciate everything our service members have done for our country!🇺🇸
Thank you so much 💓 🇺🇸

Love it! Thank you for your creativity!
You are so much fun to watch, thank you, Tiffany!
I was thinking about this idea just the other day, but got sidetracked by all the Christmas sewing I have to get done. Your explanation of the process is inspiring me to add this to my project list after the holidays. Thanks for this video!❤
Thanks 😊
I just watched your giant quilt lock video. I love the block and I love the color choices! I saved so I can watch again try myself.
Beautiful
For my daughter's quilt, I'm doing one big potato chip block for the back. So fun!
What a neat idea for every backing. It takes the annoyance of choosing 108" limited choices. And if youre going to piece a backing why not make it as gorgeous as the front. epiphany!
Great idea!
Beautiful, you are so inspirational!
This is gorgeous. I usually like vibrant colors while my daughter likes these subdued colors. I think I need to make two of these in a very different color palette for each of us.
That's a wonderful idea 😊
Absolutely fantastic quilt. It was a little confusing but I can see you have done a beautiful job. Thank you.
I love neutral colors like these. It’s beautiful
I love this idea! Thank you for sharing!! ❤❤❤
Thank you, Tiffany for this one block quilt idea.
Super nice! Cool patchwork back! I love the more neutral colors!
I learned to do this back in the 80's from one of the ladies in the group. She would do these when she needed a quick throw quilt for a gift. I have one that got to the being partially quilted when I had to go back to work. I need to put it out and get it finished. Some day.
Well, I hope ya get it finished 😊
This is beautiful. Well done as usual. Thank you
Love your neutral giant quilt.
I love this!
Oh, what ewwww, ahhhhh quilts. Design and colors are amazing Tiffany. Thanks for sharing.

Hi 👋
Love that pattern
Good Monday Morning Tiffany, Scott, Thumper, & ALL!🫶
Hello 👋
Genius❤️😍❤️
Love it
Beautiful work Tiffany ❤it do you have a tree skirt video/ pattern?
Nope I haven't made a tree skirt 😕
Love the block I'm going to try r
Beautiful. I love it. Do you long arm for others?
Yes I do 😊 contact me by email for that.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤
I never get anxious watching you go through the process of cutting because you watch over the pressed pieces and stacks so well. Your camera stays put and we get to listen to the voice of reason concerning fabric and its tendencies to wrinkle or become unaligned. You overcome the problems that we might have before we have them (making sure all 4 fabrics are showing before cutting the edge off) would he something I would not notice each time these 12 fat quarters were brought before me unless you reminded me several times. as any teacher would naturally do. Awesome one giant quilt from one giant block demonstration. I enjoyed every step.
Thank you for watching 😊
❤hi Tiffany
