    A chop saw with a rough cut wood blade cuts aluminum profile material fairly clean, square, and with no damage to the blade. We cut aluminum tubing this way all the time. Great install video!

    Appreciate the tutorial, very easy to follow and helped me quite a bit during the install on my22 black diamond 4 door. Knocked it out in 3 hours with beer/bathroom breaks. It would be convenient if the bypass/disable switch (once available) could be wired to the aux switches if on uneven terrain or removal of the doors.

    I think each install video has convinced me to go with these when my bronco finally arrives (whenever that will be 🙄).
    I’m not a big fan of the magnet aspect and these not using magnets is a big plus. And while these aren’t rock sliders, they will offer some lvl of protection and even when they are beat up, they should still deploy and be useful.
    My question is, what happened when you remove the doors? Just unplug the obd2?

    Great video. So after installing both these and the go rhino/Rough country option which do you prefer? The price point on the rough country is hard to beat if you can deal with the magnets. Regarding the amp install and the posi-tap step, could you use t-taps there instead? Would that be any easier in that tight spot with little wires?

      AMP makes an override switch to operate the step, you’d want that to use them with the doors off.

    Is there a way to link this to the broncos locking mechanism? Like when you unlock the bronco, it would deploy, and when the doors lock, it retracts?

    How do these work when the doors are off? Are they stuck open or is there some manual operation?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can disconnect the OBD2 and they’ll stay up. Or You can buy a plug in that allows you to operate manually.

      @@Motoroso Thanks for the quick response. Another question. Can you hard wire and not use the OBDII port, say if you are using the OBD for a tuner?

      @@davehahn23 not that I know of. If you prefer a non-OBD2 power step and also want some off-road protection, check out the Rockslide Engineering StepSliders.

    Steps installed... this video helps but moves over quickly some key steps, ...paper instructions are horrible. Here's what to look out for. 1) mounting the articulating arms is slow and difficult getting a wrench in on the lower bolt of all 4.. so thread those as much as you can prior to attaching each arm... fewer turns, once on is helpful. 2) motors might not line up with the mounting holes with the arms fully extended... don't worry about that, just bend the arms until the mounting holes line up, they will self orient once connected to electricity. 3) Don't screw up on the heat-shrink connections when attaching the lights,... they don't give you any extras. 4) the tiny posi-tap connectors are difficult to connect on tiny wires... you can only get to it with one hand, and if you drop them, its a royal PITA to retrieve them. These won't be threaded when you think they are and you'll drop them behind the kick plate... be very careful and sure. 5) It's good to have a second set of hands when you go to attach the steps.. getting it all to line up and not strip the threads on the hex-head bolts (of which they give you no extras) is difficult with one person.

    would this work if I have the tube doors >?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a good question, I'm not sure how or where Ford senses the door. If its' in the latch, then I imagine so, yes. However, its probably best to just add the override switch ($57) anyway so you can control it with the doors off too.
