    Is just me or RetroArch can’t found anything? I literally selected the specific file and loaded
    but when I clicked on the GBA menu it wasn’t there
    This whole emulator seems to be built by a masochist

    Andrew, are you able to show please how to get Gamecube and Wii up and running on Mac (retroarch please) - seems to be an issue as despite all tutorials online the Core doesn't seem to show up in the list despite updating core downloader etc. If you could upload a tutorial on this id appreciate it. I know can use Dolphin but wanted all my emulation under one application ie Retroarch. Thanks

    I installed the ARM version and the left analog inputs are inverted no matter what. Went back to the previous release everything working fine

    Can you run Gamecube, Wii and/or Nintendo 3DS games in mac using RetroArch? I can not find the cores in the list. Thank you very much for your videos

      No I don't think so. Dolphin is just better as a stand alone app anyways and same goes for Citra

      ​@@crestofhonor2349 I have a Macbook Pro ventura 13.2.1 and citra doesnt work at all in my computer. I cant run Mario Maker (wii u version) in Cemu neither Mario Maker 2 (switch one) on Ryujinx. Thanks for your answer!

      @@Bl4ckH4nd Thanks, Dolphin runs perfect in my mac. Its citra the one that keeps crushing. And mario maker in cemu crahes as well as mario maker 2 in Ryujinx. Thanks for your comment!

    Can you check how well the source engine games work on M2: Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead and Counter Strike?

      Well; They don't. They're 32-bit applications. Though you could maybe hack the Windows version to run or use the Source Port for HL1

      I don’t think they’ll even run in Crossover. They need Windows for the 32bit x86 emulation. This is an artificial issue since Apple dropped 3bit support in 2019 meanwhile 32bit games still run on iPad.

      Source games run fine in a Parallels VM. Performance is not great but good enough for single player at least.

    When you say “an individual emulator is going to give you better performance” 9:11
    Do you mean that using an emulator as a standalone app and not running it though a frontend such as retroarch or openemu will give better performance?

    I always wonder if you could position your camera better? 🤔
    I think it's better to focus more on the display rather than the keyboard view sometimes.
    Although i know that u want to show the controller buttons sometimes. 😅

    Really nice, Andrew! But I need help with controllers on mac! Some games do not recognize controllers anymore (mostly Unity Engine games) even if the controller is working in steam and other games.
    And other controllers I can't use anymore at all like my four Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers (great set for couch coop gaming!)! :(

    They recently updated OpenEmu, as I have noted. But it’s yet to be seen if the new update is a revival of the OpenEmu community or if it’s a final farewell.

    Hi Andrew, my previous version (intel) runs perfectly well on my M1. Seriously, it's flawless. What gains could I get by installing this version? (too many parameters to set up again!)

      Mac software stores settings in a folder separate from the app itself. The new version should just pick up your settings.

      @@byakka Thanks! That's what I thought too, but for some reason half the settings didn't work right away (cores, input settings, etc.) Not sure why.

      If you prefer a lot of options than yes. But if you only want to play games like in the old days, then openEmu is better

      You need to download the ROMs and move them to your designated folder for games on your computer.

    Considering RetroArch, can you please make a video on how we can play Forza Horizon 1/2/3 on Mac using it? If it's possible please do make a video as it would be helpful.
    While on it I saw you playing Midnight club as well add it's tutorial as well. (Make tutorial so we know how to exactly get them working) and keyboard support if it's possible for those games.

      @@thomasko0947 OpenEmu isn't an emulator. It's more an all in one emulation assistant, same as retroarch. I agree though, open emu is better for older systems anyways

      The sole reason I use Retroarch is for the shaders. Unfortunately, none of the other emulator packages can compare here.

      @@haysoos123 OpenEmu supports shaders. If you do not have enough built-in, you can connect additionally. Retroarch has a terrible interface. A lot of settings. I want to play mario, but I have to play retroarch!

      @@andersw6169 Even though OpenEmu has a few nice shaders, there's just not as many options out there and you can't tweak them as easily. Also I forgot to mention Retroarch's runahead to decrease lag. Believe me, I wouldn't put up with the interface if it weren't for these features.

      Retroarch does not emulate Wii or Wiiu. As far asI know the most advanced Nintendo systerm it can emulate is the GameCube

      It works just Fine. Even the M1 iPad can handle all of the emulation without much if any issue.
