I've debated on purchasing this deck on and off for the past year. I think it's time to buy it! I quite like the dark/shadow vibe, and from what I've heard it gives insightful readings! Then again, I'm a massive Lucy Cavendish fan.
I've ummed and ahhed over getting one of JBG's decks but watching these videos initially I think "ooh, yes, how awesome" and then there's other cards that are just odd either artwork wise, or message wise, or the artwork doesn't tie into the message. Maybe one day I'll get one, but not today!
Why did you darken the boarders? I can see how much better they look. Would it effect the energy of the card by alternating them? Please respond bc I’d like to do the same if it doesn’t change the energy or anything other than look if the edges. Also please tell me HOW you did it?! Thank you! Love your channel! I’m new to tarot but been drawn a long long time. I just bought these and the Light Seers to which I enjoy the tarot’s ALOT!
I have done the edges of many decks and don't find it affects the energy of the cards, it just finishes it off for me and makes the deck feel ready to go. The act of taking each one and looking at it while edging it feels like a tune in :) I generally use markers, depending on the deck, very often Tombows but I would do a test run to make sure they work well with you. You could pick up a small deck of playing cards, test a marker that you want to use and do some shuffling once it is dry to make sure it doesn't leave residue on your hands (again once you give it a chance to dry) :) Good luck and good journey and welcome to my channel!!
Most likely, I do not know if there was a new edition with white borders but I can't find a legitimate image of the deck with white borders so it is most likely pirated :/
