Am not done watching but needed to say... Kelly, NO-ONE can make a review like you can. This is where you really really really shine. Your ability to point out symbols and meanings in decks is simply next to none and I am never in doubt about a deck when I've watched your review. Thank you!
LOVE this deck, I have been using it since it came to me in November. YES it isn't for Shadow work, but without doubt is a very good deck for affirmations, and having a way to speak to folks. The readings I have done with it have been SPOT on from what folks have told me. I like the change in the elements. I also appreciate the artwork, the intricacy and the way the keywords really seem to help in giving some direction in the flow of the reading. I really have enjoyed this deck and appreciate that you have done such a brilliant job in your review!!! Thanks or sharing the beauty!!!!
I definitely agree, I have found this to be a big surprise to me and I am so glad that I picked it up because it has such a powerful combination of tarot and oracle that is uplifting but also clear messages!
A lovely walkthrough no rushing and carefully described. Beautiful deck I would not have considered before watching your runthrough many thanks ❤❤❤ Andie UK xxx
Thank you so much for your informative, detailed presentation of this deck. I already have some animal decks / tarots, love them all, but this one is really very amazing. Kind regards, Viri
I ordered this and am still waiting for it come in. I love animals but wasn't sure about an all animal deck until I saw this one. I guess being a novice I worried I wouldn't be able to learn the meanings without people and the RWS symbolism. We'll see what happens. I was surprised that ants weren't used for cards involving teamwork or partnership. Ants are my phobia so I'm honestly grateful, but I can't say anything else represents teamwork as well as ants do.
I’ve just come across this beautiful deck and really enjoyed your video. I’m thinking that I might use it more as an oracle deck after a tarot reading.
You have the absolutely best reviews. The artwork is beautiful and I love the animals she chose and the insightful meanings she gave to the cards. Some cards that I have trouble understanding make sense to me in this deck. I do love the overall gentle messages in this deck and the lovely artwork reflects that as well.
crystalheart9 Having used this for awhile now I truly think this is a lovely and well thought out deck that really melds the tarot and animal energies beautifully!
I was trying to resist buying another deck but after your lovely review I knew I had to have it. I love watching your reviews and I always say to myself, I will just watch but not buy! I didn't make it this time :D
That’s such a fabulous review/walkthrough, as it deserves to be. I learnt so much watching it. My deck is coming today, I am so ready to welcome it, thanks to you. ❤️
Would you suggest this deck as a first deck? I've little to no knowledge about it, but I've always been interested in learning and this deck absolutely speaks to me...
The seven of swords is odd to me never liked it. The cheetah however makes so much sense. In the wild a cheetah will super analyze its hunt, the numbers of the herd and weakest link the terrain of how best to get it. When it finally decides to run there is so much going on in the cheetah itself - maintaining balance, gaining speed, getting into the right place to kill its prey, looking out for other treats like a lion. I would interpret it as "look at your problem from the ground up and from every side, leave nothing up to chance. Perhaps a flipped one would be to stop analysing, trust yourself and go for it.
This was a beautiful walk-though--thank you, Kelly! I had seen that some people considered this to be a "softer" deck and wondered what you would think. I bought this deck on impulse a few days ago and am in love with it; I normally gravitate towards the dark, intense decks, but we lost our dog two weeks ago after an almost four year battle with congestive heart failure, so "softer" works just fine for me for the time being. I also love that, even though the deck is promoted as following the RWS, it can be read numerologically and elementally as well, just as you shared here.
You are so welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I do think it leans to the positive but not in a sugary way, it's very easy to get at both sides and the guidebook does a good job of showing both aspects. There are times when this is exactly what we need, and to be honest, it's about help from the animal spirits who are there to support us. And as you know, I LOVE that it really doesn't block me from reading numerological+elemental, big plus! :*
You did a lovely walk through a deck called The Tarot of Trees. Loved the idea of trees. I ordered it and I am just looking through now and I am loving the images not having people.
A recent acquisition, I absolutely love this deck. I am used to working with much heavier, and "darker" decks than this. This deck is definitely a breath of fresh air, it reads like dream, very friendly and inviting energy. I was not sure I would click with an animal deck but I've been pleasantly surprised by my readings and the gentle way in which it offers guidance. This is a deck I turn to when I need more gentle guidance than beat me over the head type guidance. My only quibble is that the cards can be a bit busy, and harder to read in low light for those of us with visual impairments. That aside, I am very happy I picked up this deck.
Thanks for showing this deck. I was waiting for someone to show the cards as the only reference I had was the elephant from the box. Now I have another deck to use with the language of the animals oracle, a guilty pleasure lol.
This was a great review. I was pleasantly surprised by this deck. Yes I feel claustrophobic with some art too? Now I am taking a really close look at this. Love how it's not RWS imagery just with animals. Thank you so much!
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the review and I’m glad it’s not just me who can get claustrophobic on some art lol, but I’m really loving this deck for sure!
I ADORE this deck! lt's going to be a classic! It's a masterpiece! The hummingbird is also used as the Sun card in the Vision Quest Tarot and it's just perfect. I agree about fours being associated with stability, not stagnation or stubbornness. and the three of swords as mental recovery is perfect! Seven of swords/feathers reminds me of Lenormand's Fox card.... Craftiness and the ability to come out on top. I'd have used the phoenix for ten of swords but I guess since it's mythical that was out.
I'm not ready to read with this kind of deck just yet but I do want this deck for collecting (for now). I love the animals and love her work even though it is pretty busy. 💖💖💖
This deck is so gorgeous! I need to get a copy when I get some spending money. lol. The one card which really stuck out to me is Justice. Well, I am a Libra, but this card really reminds me of my mom. I know she wouldn't care for the artwork of this deck, but I know that she'd love a crow as Justice because The Crow is her favorite movie. lol. I'm definitely going to have to tell her about it. Thanks for the review!
I’ve been looking at this deck at my local crystal shop and it’s beautiful it keeps calling to me and I’m glad to see this review on it as it’s out of my comfort zone, I prefer darker decks. I love shadowscapes though with borders. None the less great review and will now purchase with certainty and clarity of what I’m receiving.
I’m so glad you found it helpful, this is definitely an interesting deck because I think that the pastels are deceiving and have found it to be a very well balanced and solid reader, not fluffy, just hitting the mark very well in blending animals and tarot, something that isn’t always successful! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this review. As you said, this deck was carefully thought about and, at last, a non RWS sword/air suit ;) . This deck has a softer voice and I think it would be a good one to use reversals with. Even the keywords are relevant!
You KNOW I won't argue with a non RWS sword/air suit :D I agree that it has a softer voice but I think you can hear the neutral voice fairly easily as well, so either reversals or positions, etc., would be simple to pull out shadow!
that looks quite lovely actually! Im not a fan of her decks, as they were always too busy for me but this one seems a bit different! Thank you for sharing K. Im skipping looking at all the cards now xx
It really is lovely, and as I said at the end of the video, it feels very thoughtfully and intentionally put together, there is this layer of animal oracle and layer of tarot, and they feel harmonious not fighting each other.
love this review - i had actually decided against this deck until i watched this! thank you :) also love your crystals. is that a candle quartz on the top left?
Why is everyone so confused that acorns are fire? The Wands are also made of wood! Maybe it’s just me because I RLY connected with this deck. I will be getting it soon! I didn’t mind both crow and raven but both in the major arcana I didn’t like.
I think it makes sense that they would both be in the major arcana because they both have such different but still very powerful energies. The raven is about creation and willpower, knowing where you're going and having all the necessary tools to get there. And the crow is about knowledge and truth and understanding from an unbiased perspective all that's going on. Seeing things from the crows perspective or moving 'as the crow flies' is an old saying for seeing above everything and finding the right path when you're removed from the situation.
I love this deck but having a bit of trouble connecting to it. I decided to give it another chance however and was searching high and low for videos. Only found 3, so thank you so much for yours! ☺️💗 I think I will use this more as an Oracle. At least until I am more used to the animals messages and how they relate to tarot meanings. It’s such a beautiful deck with a lot of healing energy.
The interesting thing about this for me is that you can definitely feel the animal oracle energy and then the layer of tarot, and yet I don't find the two are fighting each other and I think you could very easily use this simply as an oracle if you so choose and I love that in the intro and spreads the creator even addresses this :)
To me this is more of an oracle deck and still reviewing it, working with it to see if I can use it for readings. Yes, I think there is possibly a place for it and if I change my mind about it, I will resell or swap it. I always think of acorns as a seed which totally fits with the suit of Wands. The other deck creator that used the acorns for wands is the lady that created the Bonefire Tarot...which I love. I guess I go more for the jewel tones and brilliant colors in the artwork.
+Anita Stewart I think it definitely has a layer of oracle, though for me it works well with the tarot cards the animals are placed on and for once the oracle and the tarot don’t seem to fight in this one as sometimes happens when I think a deck should be an oracle :) Good point about the seed/acorn/wand! :)
Your review makes this deck looks so beautiful! What held me back from buying it until now is the fact that the colors are too muted and my eyes are not in the best of shapes...is the finish of the cards matte? I may repaint it if the quality of the card stock allows it.
Thanks for details again..i have this and one oracle of Paulina...the only thing with keywords on this i felt all are positive.with due respect of the maker.although i myself is a very positive thinker and love tender soft msgs.and we are always free to read intuitively. Want to hear your opinionon this. Also anything about chris anne's Curious creatures ? How do you like that ? Have you used it in your readings.?🙏🏻 namaste and greetings from India 😇🙏🏻
I just purchased this deck. As a professional Tarot Reader now for 54-55 years I like to dig in once I open my new decks. Wish there was less of the box, a simple look it over then perhaps open and get the cards opened. The booklet can be looked through once the deck is laid. Nearly 7 and 8 min spent gazing through the booklet about lost my attention.
This deck so lovely, yet I found myself frustrated I couldn't connect with it. I mean no insult, but I think it's because it's too huggy and pastel. Ironically, I adore her Joie de Vivre Tarot, quite the cheeky deck. Great review, thx. : )
I don't take it as an insult (not that I created it LOL) but thankfully we don't connect with ALL the decks or we'd be broke :D I generally don't like huggy decks but I can definitely see a place for this and find a lot of it neutral and easy to read both energies, thank you for watching! :D
What is the difference between tarot and Oracle? I have steven farmers messages from your animal spirit guide and I was considering spirit song tarot deck but I'm new to this. Do you have any videos describing the difference?
Oh no! Pet peeve: chameleons do not change color to blend into their environment. (What kind of environment would that even be?? A sad clown convention??) They change color because of temperature and their mood. Dang it, I really wanted to love this deck. Thanks for the walk thru, kelly! Now I know. 😐
Well... it says "seizing the power of cloaking, he changes color to blend with his shifting surroundings" wouldn't temperature be part of your shifting surroundings? Or in reaction to a predator or the sun I have read, so that to me would be changing to your shifting surroundings and still works for Tower energy for me. The colors in the image don't matter so much to me as all of the animals have patterns and shapes and colors that aren't on real animals--they are spirit animals :D :) Does that help at all??? LOL
I didn't make it to the feathers. Lol. Im gonna work on getting over the chameleon tower and finish up the video after work. 🙂 in the meantime, please enjoy this humorous but enlightening video short about chameleons. th-cam.com/video/UR_byRbXxvs/w-d-xo.html
A pastel colored deck, maybe difficult to view. The Devil is not the sole property of Christianity, SHEESH. Yes, the Tower reads like the Wheel? The Star with the very territorial Swan? Christianity only frowns upon any form of divination, as it has its roots in TORAH. Take it up with Leviticus and Judaism not with Catholics.
"The Devil" in the case of tarot I do think is the property of Christianity given the history of tarot and where it came out of, I think it is safe to assume the Pope, Papess, Devil and Judgement are depicted from the perspective of Christianity. If not, it is certainly how I saw it at the time I first saw tarot which was a very long time ago.
As for divination, while the frowning, which is a mild word for how I was taught to treat divination, may have its roots in the Torah, the Torah is included in the Christian Old Testament and accepted truth, in my personal experience with Catholics and Baptists specifically, it was very strongly forbidden as the work of the devil. Other people's experience may vary, and I should be more clearly stating "my personal experience."
True, but as Tarot has become a world's possession, the Devil can be found in Buddhism and in the Tibetan Bon religion. Perhaps in other religions that have escaped my memory at the moment.
Very true! I agree it isn't ONLY in Christianity, the idea of the devil, but the Tarot Devil came from Christianity :) I need to be more clear, clearly :D
Am not done watching but needed to say... Kelly, NO-ONE can make a review like you can. This is where you really really really shine. Your ability to point out symbols and meanings in decks is simply next to none and I am never in doubt about a deck when I've watched your review. Thank you!
Aw Nina, that is the best every thing to say ::HUGS:: Thank YOU for not only watching but taking the time to be so encouraging and supportive!
The difference between crocodiles and alligators...one will see ya later, one will see ya after while :D

@@TheTruthinStoryHi Kelly!
Great deck review! Do you know of any decks that also has the quality of both tarot and oracle?
your love and wisdom for the tarot makes me want to buy everything ...
😂😂😂😂 spot on
The artwork in these cards is absolutely stunning. Thank you so much for going through this deck! I am in love!
I have this deck and have been doing alright, but you made me see them in another light that really wowed me! Thank you!

Yes, definitely I would, I think the keywords are helpful and not detracting and it functions beautifully as a tarot with the added animal energy.
I got this deck today. It's beautiful
Ten of Crystal's is a Crocodile the snout is round and blunt where as an alligator has a slender pointed snout.
The seven of swords is odd to me never liked it. The cheetah however makes so much sense. After watching Jennifer Balls video and half way through this ones I had to get my first animal tarot deck
Evie Wilkinson First animal tarot?? 😃 well this deserves a celebration 🎊
The Truth in Story I know right? I have a big collection but haven’t bought any animal tarot decks
Every time I thought this deck couldn't get better, you turned over another card and it DID. No idea why I've put this one off.
Rori Rants I knooooowwww!
The US games text on the backs of the cards is a real shame...
I didn’t even notice until she pointed it out. Now can’t unsee it. 😂 she has an eye for detail which makes her reviews scrumptious
Thanks again

Rhinoceros can actually run up to 25-34 mph. Pretty fast for these colossal animals😅
Wow, I did NOT know that, love it, thank you!
@@TheTruthinStory you're very welcome 🙏🏾🤎 I thought to mention it, so the card makes more sense😁
In short Tarot is 78 cards and generally read by card meanings. Oracles are normally done via a book and the deck can have any number of cards.
What spreads did you use and do you have videos of them?
You sound so much like Joan Cusack. 😊
Wish I had money this deck is so beautiful :(
Keep an eye on it on Amazon, the prices do drop sometimes!
would spiritsong or phantasma be better for a beginner getting a first deck?
Spiritsong, in my opinion!
how can one tell reversed cards from upright cards with this deck?
It should be easy :) The animals will be upside down!
Oh no! Pet peeve: chameleons do not change color to blend into their environment. (What kind of environment would that even be?? A sad clown convention??) A pastel colored deck, maybe difficult to view.
Catholicism accepts the gift of Prophecy as is found in the OT. It is a simple matter of placing the word of MAN above the WORD of GOD.
Very true! I agree it isn't ONLY in Christianity, the idea of the devil, but the Tarot Devil came from Christianity :) I need to be more clear, clearly :D
