You are so right about having a deep conviction because I have a hard time staying on my vegan journey as there is so much temptation around me. It is easy to backslide. It's also hilarious how you said meet what is the most difficult thing to give up. Cheese. That's my issue. That said. You have INSPIRED me this am. Thank you for being authentic and sharing your journey.

Why do religious Christians CONSTANTLY make this comment, as if there aren’t millions of Christians on the internet loudly proclaiming their religiosity - which, by the way, Jesus himself preached NOT to do.
Y’all act like it’s so rare for people to publicly talk about Jesus. Are you that fucking delusional??? Give it a damn rest already.

Good choise! We have so many good reasons to be vegan for the animals, our health and the enviroment and even other humans, so choosing a taste from nonvegan foods instead really becomes absurd when we think about it. I have been vegan now for 8 years and the only thing I could regret is not becoming vegan sooner. Welcome to a compassioned and caring comunity☺🌱

11+ year vegan here. When I first went vegan, it was all fresh, whole foods as I did the Daniel Fast. It was difficult to even find any vegan faux meat & cheeze options back then. I was so healthy for several years. Fast forward and now I've fallen into the vegan junk food trap and I now have 45 pounds to lose. I just happened upon your video today and it was perfect timing. Thank you for your candid video and sharing personal things. Your family is beautiful. And I really appreciate your faith proclamation, too. Subscribed :)

REALLY appreciate that you factored in literally all the different culprits within your lifestyle and the consequences of your personal choices instead of taking the easy and disingenuous way out- eating animals and their byproducts again.
I’m tired of seeing these “why I stopped being vegan” videos because 10/10 they blame the pant based diet and only that.
Once again, thank you from a 6 year vegan sister in Christ. I also had a whole successful “vegan” pregnancy, and also on a journey to improve the health and length of my hair. Thank you!!

Although I eat a lot of whole food plant-based foods and have been almost 100% vegan for the last 3 to 4 years, I still have acne. After hearing your video, I realize that even though I don’t eat a lot of processed foods, I do eat some a few times a week. I have been considering and attempting to go raw vegan for a few weeks to clear my skin but I’m never successful past about four days. Cooked WFPB is more sustainable for me at this time. It is awesome to hear that acne can still be healed without having to go completely raw. Thank you so much for your videos and I’m very much looking forward to hearing about your journey towards waist long hair.

Im trying raw vegan for 4 months now , because being 34 years old with bad clogged skin and leaky gut symptoms. They suggest fasting or fat free/low fat while detoxing. And going fat free did magic for my skin, before I was gluten free, sugar free, whole food vegan for many years. I was scared of fruits too, because of blood sugar and candida problems. Now I feel free with fruits. I did grape fast too, eating mono for 30 days. My periods came perfect first time in my life, eye color is starting to change slowly from hazel to cold green and blue. Didn't use deodorant , no need to, my sweat didn't have any smell. No I have experiment boiled veggies in my evening salad and maybe too much salt, my sweat and some problems , periods pain came back little bit. So yeah. Body gets cleaner and switches over on raw fuel, if eating atleast 75% raw a day, feels like hangover now after eating cooked food. Weird. I suggest mono fruit of juice fast for healing and transitioning. Or even" mucusless diet healing system" by Arnold.Ehret and prof. Spira here in youtube.

Melissa I can’t tell you how grateful I am for you posting this video, especially the acne pictures. I bet you never would have imagined how much your experience would encourage others. But you hit the nail on the head when you said “because I wasn’t eliminating i wasn’t healing”. My Grandmother looked like she was 8 months pregnant before she died of Bowel cancer, and I’m sure I’m headed in that direction. I’m 54 and have suffered with constipation most of my life, but it’s just getting worse. I’m not sleeping, chronically fatigued, the crown of my hair is thinning and I’m getting more and more intolerances to good foods like beetroots, strawberries, bananas, chia seeds and more. Plus I’ve had what I thought was Bacne, but just found out it’s called Keratosis Pilaris for over 40 years. Like you I love cheese 😋, but realise it’s no good for me. And having started to drink raw goats milk kefir thinking that it’s going to help my gut, it’s been quite the opposite. Bunged up to the Max. So thank you for the wake-up call. Thankfully the fighter in me has always seen me thriving, well, and happy. I’ll be getting a new juicer soon, and going cold turkey cutting out all the nonsense that I don’t even eat that often. My body is so toxic that I couldn’t even tell you the last time I slept. So thank you for sharing your story. I got all the encouragement I need, and will definitely be referring back to it. I’m a firm believer that if we give the body what it needs it can heal itself, and you’re a perfect example of that so thank you, thank you, thank you. Btw, you and your hubby make such a beautiful couple, and I’m sure that goes for inside as well. 😍

Honey thank you so much for leaving your heartfelt comment. I want to encourage to keep putting your health first because it WILL pay off, no matter what the past has been like. I know first-hand that the struggle is real! But like you said, if you give the body what it needs it can heal itself. Flood it with all the good things. Trust God to lead you and to work wonders like you’ve never seen! I declare healing and abundant life over you. May you thrive and may 2023 be THE year of great reward for your body.

Praise the Lord Sis! Thank you for your channel! This is my third time going Vegan. Initially, I was doing it with my wife to get healthy, the second time it was to support her post-partum. However, we both fell off and she didn't think it was sustainable. I decided that I wanted to be plant based to heal my own body and to have the energy to give my family with my demanding job in caring for sick children. The last two times I went vegan, it was really hard and it didn't last very long, maybe a few weeks. I'm 7 weeks in (high raw) - plant based. Trying to build up more support and this video was right on time! I see the life I want to know that God wants this healed life for me. I'm really encouraged after seeing this video. Blessings to you and your family. I hope my wifey gets on board too! Also, the wifey is an naturalista so I'm sure she'd appreciate the hair content! P.S. HBCU's stand up! I have a deep love for Oakwood and the Aeolians!

I'm from Africa. Here meat not only is a source of wealth but an everyday food consumed in every African home. It kind of makes fruits a bit more expensive than actual meat. I genuinely would like to go plant based full time. I've been considering this for a year and people think I'm weird. However I'm going for it!

It is so wonderful to hear from someone who has gone through similar challenges and have overcome it all with a plant based diet. I have gone vegan for a month now, and I have not only felt my body feeling so much better, but my psoriasis finally clearing up after many years of it all over my body and my face. I would look into the carnivore diet for healing. I have lupus and am going to start soon and have been watching carnivore diet videos for weeks. It makes me sad to eat animals, but meat is essential to survive and thrive both physically and mentally. It's the way of life. We've been eating meat for 2 million years and agriculture has only been invented 10,000 years ago. 99.9% of human existence has been eating meat. Plants and fruit contain anti-nutrients and toxins. Please look into Dr. Anthony Chaffee and Dr. Ken Berry videos. Read all the comments - people have been cured of diabetes, thryroid disorders, arthritis, stomach issues, weakness and fatigue, brain fog - so many things. It even cures autoimmune diseases like lupus, MS, crohn's disease, many more. I wish you much luck and love on your healing journey.

I wanted to suggest this too but didn’t want to come across as a troll, but I also did my research on the carnivore diet and I’ve been doing for a little over a week so still very new. My motivation was to heal my endometriosis and have milder period pains. This was the first time in my life where my cramps were minimal and I could even workout 2x at the gym. I’m usually bloated for a good 2 weeks after my period but no bloat at all. I’m coming from a vegetarian/vegan background and I was unwell and I had the worst flare ups. I know this goes against everything we’ve been taught about diet, but we owe it to our bodies to try everything possible to heal ourselves. I wish everyone the best of luck on this journey

I've tried to do a few days of juicing and have done 30 days of raw. I keep going back to the sad diet and every time I do I feel so. Trying to figure out how to stay Raw

This is a beautiful video and I found you just in time cause I have been on my journey. I'm older and the weight was starting to pile on and like you, I was getting sick. I broke my ankle last year and that's what started the weight gain. I started having issues with a mucus build up so I decided to change. I don't know how I found your channel cause I wasn't looking but I'm glad that I did.

I’m not fully vegan but I do eat about 85 percent plant-based. And when I say plants I mean lots of fruit, vegetables, beans, potatoes, moderate whole grains. I also strength train about 3x a week and walk between 30 and 40 minutes a day. I’ve noticed I’m starting to look younger. I feel a lot better, too.

I find this so interesting how our bodies can differ, when I was told to go vegan /veg to be healthy I ended up very sick after many years, when I added Milk, butter, fats, proteins back into my diet It completely healed my body. Every life style change of eating really does need to be balanced. Glad you are feeling better :) Blessings

    • @ChoosingMyHealth
      @ChoosingMyHealth  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yes! Every body is different. And it is so easy to get sick on a vegan diet (really ANY diet) if you are not nutritionally balanced. This is what I did to make sure I was still getting all my nutrients on a strictly plant-based diet: th-cam.com/video/ivVKgUOZmww/w-d-xo.html

Ask yourself "What would Jesus do?" as you watch the Milk - Make Your Own Mind Up documentary and see the video footage of dairy farms where the mother cow is forcibly impregnated, has her newborn baby stolen at every birth, then grieves and bellows for days, and hooked up to milking machines that cause painful mastitis infections that drip into the milk.
Aside from the suffering, pus and blood, dairy is loaded with animal hormones that cause breast cancer and other hormonal cancers.
