  • The morning of Friday, February 24th, 2022 will be one printed in History Books as the day that Russia dropped missiles and started their invasion to the capital city of Kyiv, Ukraine. Today was the day we all needed to decide if we should prepare food to shelter in place with ‪@baldandbankrupt‬ or to try and escape to Lviv or even the Polish border. In this video, I show you both options, neither of them good.

OMG! He just said he has friends coming over to shelter in place together and that’s why he bought a lot of food but was unable to extend that same possibility to the other shoppers that they also were buying for others. Maybe they were buying for their elderly parents, grandparents, his wife and her parents and grandparents, and kids. Extended families want to be together in emergencies. He has a never ending supply of judgement for people but lacks self awareness to judge himself. Hold yourself to the same standards that you criticize others for lacking instead of being so hypercritical.

You shouldn't have judged the guy purchasing all the food. To come back to your own apartment and film how much food you have for yourself is the height of hypocrisy. You don't know how long this war will last or for how many people that man is providing. Just a guess but more people would probably be buying more supplies if they had the $$. The U.S. does have problems like all countries but if you really dislike the U.S. renounce your citizenship/passport. Johnny, the first week is not how it's going to be. If this continues, the stores will not be able to restock inventory. Utilities may be cut off so gas, electricity and heat may be rationed. You may not be able to chill/freeze food so the prudent items to have are canned and jarred goods, water, oil, rice/beans, crackers, potatoes and other staples that will last in a pantry. People may be thoughtful of each other now but that changes when things get harder and people are desperate. Your optimism is admirable but you must be prepared for the worst. Think ahead 3 months, 6 months or more...what will it be like? This is not a game.

Johnny what you should remember is America is still a nation were majority of the people drive and have the financial means to purchase in big bulks. Not to mention, standard apartments or houses in US are huge. Plus this country is not a walking city so majority drive cars NOT by train. Therefore, people in Europe as a whole buy only what they can carry to the train and bus or what they can fit their fridge due to tiny space. I am well travelled so I am very much aware of the culture, the economy or life style of Europeans. STOP the comparison that people in Ukraine are better because they are calm and buy little and not stock their fridge, followed by "which is one of the reasons you like to live in Ukraine" Its honestly a very idiotic remark.

I'm sorry man. You are disconnected. You've got great past content. But politics, and exploring worldviews, a good amount to get a proper understanding, a proper percentage. Talking to a few people on the streets in any country you are in doesn't count for the ENTIRETY of the countries opinions/views.
It's actually become comedic, and a little sad. You need to travel more. When people start saying, 100 percent of this nation says this, and 100 percent of this nation says this. There's no such thing.
If you have a way out. Get out. Because even the folks you are talking to are looking at you with disbelief. TH-cam content, income, getting noticed etc.
None of this $hit matters when you're dead. And honestly you aren't getting anything groundbreaking.
There are other Ukrainian You-Tubers that are way more informed, giving much more detail, as to what's really going on, because they are from Ukraine.
Anyhow, none of this matters if you're dead. You're not doing anything. And actually this particular video is very very hypocritical.

Not sure what to think of this Johnny guy. Of course I hope he remains safe but … all I can think is Man-Child. He craps on his own home country (not cool), films people without consent while talking behind their backs and even confronts this man as to why he is buying so much (extremely uncool, very disrespectful, judgmental and arrogant). He doesn’t know these people, he even assumes the “panic buyer” is a foreigner ( helloooo ?). It is a very frightening time for Ukrainans and people react differently depending on their past experiences. I’m sure there are a lot of traumatized people. I wonder how he would enjoy having someone film him doing his shopping and commenting. Why not engage with these people and maybe find out what their situation is ? He might be surprised. At his home, he shows us his very very well stocked pantry and refrigerator … maybe going 5-6 times a day to the grocery store isn’t “panic buying” ? He is very harsh towards his fellow Ukrainians yet seems totally focused on how he will stay safe and comfortable. He also keeps saying how Ukraine is his home and how much he loves it yet not one mention of him trying to see how he can help, contribute in some way. He’s a strong, healthy man. I’m not insinuating he should join the Ukrainian army but I’m sure any help is appreciated. All these women making Molotov cocktails … If push comes to shove, I hope he will have an epiphany and start contributing to the survival of his beloved adopted country. The idea that he stayed behind because of his home is laughable/delusional, I think he wants to grow his YT no matter what. OTOH, I very much respect Bald and if anyone is going to keep someone safe, it’s him, not the other way around. As I said, I wish him well, along with Bald and everyone in Ukraine actually, but this video annoys me big time.
