    That bike is in beautiful condition! Collectors item for sure, only made as a 1983 model.

    It's nice seeing one in such great and mostly original condition. The Canadian CB1100F is still near the top on my list of bikes I must own (again). I had a red one for a very short time in 86. I sold it to my best friend and he still has it. Such a great classic looking bike as it came from Honda in 83, no need to change a thing.

      Thanks Scott, I just turned over 92K kms. The bike now has a full stainless steel Hindle 4-2-1 header. I still have the original exhaust system as well.

      @@ChrisR57 Awesome! Of course, if you ever decide to sell it....
      My buddy that still has my red bike has made many mods to it. It still looks stock at a distance, but as my other riding friends of that time used to say, the only original unmodified bits of the bike left are the paint job, instruments, and the spring that holds the kickstand up. The work was mostly done at a shop called "Race Line Cycle" in TO in the late 80's and early 90's. The chassis and most of the engine were done there, with some of the machine work and head porting done at Niagara Race Crafters and at Leitner and Busch. He has never told any of us how big the engine is now, but it does have one of the four big block cylinders that were cast for Vance and Hines when they ran their 1100 in the NHRA Pro-Stock series in 83. They won the championship that year with the CB1100F. I'm guessing that my old bike is now at least a 1260 cc, but it may be nearer to 1400. It has hit 210 mph (with a 100 hp NOx shot) before he chickened out and let off. He started collecting these bikes and parts for them, like I was doing with my CBX's at the time. He now has a 8' x 20' shed crammed to the bursting point with bikes and parts. Some of the parts are rare racing pieces from HRC, Vance and Hines, Yoshimura, etc. He has a complete front end from a factory (not production) RC30 race kit in there that he was going to put on another 1100F. He also has some American Honda Racing built AMA Superbike 750 to 1015 cc engines still in crates that have never been fired up. These are all titanium valves and everything else good and expensive. One of the 900 based engines is supposed to be good for 170 hp at the rear wheel. He also has bodywork and parts from the CB1100R , the one with the later bodywork. But he only has one stock Canadian bike left (a red one), and it is rough. And he won't sell it....

    I have ridden this bike for 8 seasons now, 30K kms on the clock when I bought it, now has 78K kms. Still runs as good as the day I got it.

      Some may disagree but I liked the Canadian version best too with the cast handle bars and gold wheels.

    That was my first road bike and loved it until I reached 150 m/h on the hghway and changed it in 1984 for a Shadow 750 that was the opposite and changed that one for a shadow 1100 in 1985 that was the best bike I had then . Now, got the 2012 Wing and that is my last bike for a big while.

      Do you still have this bike? I am considering the same CB1100F or KZ1000 in Japan. But looking at your uploaded movie I am merging to CB1100F..........lol

      Akira Umehara There are still some nice CB1100F's out there.
      Recently put on a new Hindle stainless steel 4-2-1 system in this bike. Louder and faster!!

    Beautiful bike my friend!! Was the headlight fairing an option ad it looks much better with out it!

    • @ChrisR57
      @ChrisR57  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ron Steurer The bikini fairing with the rectangular headlight was only on the U.S. model
      My Canadian model has a few other differences from the U.S. version. The CB1100F was only built in 1983.
