Also a little crazy that this is more of a mid-back system and you're not replacing the 2.25" pipes between the cats and X pipe, but it's still $1300. Premium price goes with premium product guys! Replace it all or price it appropriately.
I still have a 2003 xlt v8 explorer and mines still nice wish I could upgrade to this and keep the explorer going in the family 👪 could someone buy me one hahaha 😆 what's the price anyways?
I am considering this exhaust however you have another video using a carbonize gray metallic ST and the video shows your exhaust without mufflers, is that an option or is that a mistake in the video
The Borla is stock 2.25" diameter tubing though, your missing out on the performance of a 2.5" system. Plus Borla's rear mufflers are bigger and super visible, it looks kinda cheap/stock like? Makes it look like you juts put tips on a stock exhaust. Mufflers should be as hidden as possible, imo. This MPRB did an OK job of that. Corsa and Magnaflow did it right by using the mid muffler.
Wait, they did that too? Just V8 it and stop wasting our time with lack luster MPGS out a V6. What I will say is the Explorer exhaust always sound better than the Raptor ones.
The Borla ATAK is 2.25 inches in diameter and has a mid muffler. As far as sound goes, this is far and away better than the ATAK, and will offer better flow when couple with the Thermal R&D mid-pipes. Also add the FenFAB downpipes.
That's the pumped in engine sound through the speakers that gets louder. It's a stupid system I wish ALL automakers would run away from. Even Ferrari, McLaren, and other higher end car companies do it. I just say let the vehicle speak for itself.
Drone? You wanna hear drone, I'll take you for a spin in my built 6.7 cummins with 5in exhaust. The drone is so bad at highway speeds it'll damn near make you nauseous 🤣
Sounds as good as any twin turbo 6. They aren’t the throatiest engines to begin with. If you’re expecting V8 sound get a v8 like a Durango, but this st is gonna shit on that Durango
@@Maverick09171 It usually does, moreso with a tune. Stock exhaust kinda flows but most folks rather have the exhaust sound like moving air and let the fake notes inside be all the sound. Assuming it's not like the stuff my explorer has where they squished the exhaust from circular to rectangle to go under the sub frame.
@@t436 tunes on DI and/or turbos always add a ton of power regardless of there’s been any mechanical mods done. OEMs spend a ton of effort on exhaust flow. I highly doubt there is much to gain power wise from any catback on the market. That is essentially confirmed by catback manufacturers who don’t provide dyno graphs of before and after. Then state baseless claims of “up to +12whp” in some marketing description. If you say “I like the sound” then that’s fine (although very subjective on 4 or 6 cylinder vehicles), but the claims of “more performance” are asinine without a before and after dyno chart.
@@Maverick09171 Reason I said with tune, If Ford is anything like GM most *Bolt On* mods for newer vehicles take HP away from stock. There is never going to be a single power adding part that drastically jumps HP unless you go from N/A to Boost. If 12 is the number claimed I will gladly be on your side and say not possible as the only mod done. As for 4 cyl and V6 this is where we are headed before they make every ICE gas guzzler taxed no matter displacement. V8 Family hauler will most likely be a Dodge with high mark up and interest rates.
@@super87cole Trackhwak is amazing, but you'd have to shell out $100k for a loaded one, while ST is $60k fully loaded. I owned a 2018 Durango SRT too for 2 months, an amazing truck but between gas and stiff ride, it wasn't a good daily. I'll probably get another one since I have the ST as daily now . lol
Ford put those turn down exhaust pipes on so people wouldn't get gassed inside the vehicle. If you don't believe me go ask a local cop that drove an explorer. Ford doesn't seem to be able to seal up the rear of the explorer.
I love the new explorer but this sounds like shit. 😂. And the thought of an exhaust on a Ford explorer has douche bag written all over it. But I absolutely love the ST. No girl will want to ride in this with that sound for an exhaust.
I've not heard one single ecoboost v6 exhaust that sounds good...but now I have. This sounds PHENOMENAL.
So far, this is the best off the shelf system I've heard. Well done.
Sold! Picking this exact system for my 2023 ST, like the sounds when you want it, and need it!
sup man i have a 2023 st too. looking to buy this exhaust! how do you like it?? hows the drone?
@@julienlord5738 Hey Man, Little delay in purchasing my ST with the terrible interest rates.
It’s a meaty sound for a 6 banger ! I just wish they had E cut out to keep it quiet when I’m pulling a load after a few hours !
I have the full system with the crossover pipe. It’s real nice the one thing that is not good is the annoying highway drone.
When you took off it sounds like the Porsche SUV.. sweet.
At least it is more reliable than any porsche.
@@DatboiYugo Any Porsche. Find something more reliable than a Porsche 911 Turbo S.

If only the F150 Ecoboost could sound this good.
Wish you had something for the Continental 3.0 AWD.
Sooo good!!! Finally got around to watching this! Definitely gunna have fun this on ours! 🙌🔥 we’ll done 👌
Does it drone at all?
Is the exhaust in the video the pro series ?
Does sport mode change the tone? I know it does factory
I would love one of these for the 3.0 mkz. All the other aftermarket exhausts I have seen for the mkz are put to shame by this one.
Performance wise, did you notice any improvement?
What's the name of the shade u have on? It looks really cool
Have this on my 2021 Ranger, best exhaust systems by far for the ecoboost 2.3.
What about 2.0L 2020 Ford Escapes?
Hello what are you guys doing with the original muffler for Ford explore St?
I have a 2013 explorer and looking for a system like this, any ideas?
Want to buy it but I want it to crackle and pop on hard down shifts so does it?
I still have a 2003 xlt v8 explorer and mines still nice wish I could upgrade to this and keep the explorer going in the family 👪 could someone buy me one hahaha 😆 what's the price anyways?
can you run this on the new platinum explorers too?
Went to new and old site no exhaust for ST Explorer?????
1:06 "Fully stamped" Lol. Is that like "Fully semi-auto"? Nice try making stamped sound like a good thing, I guess.
How did you get km/h and miles to show? Mines don't do that
Forscan
Will this work 2021 ford explorer xlt model ?
I am considering this exhaust however you have another video using a carbonize gray metallic ST and the video shows your exhaust without mufflers, is that an option or is that a mistake in the video
I expect nothing less from MBRP, granted the MBRP Race is often hailed as one of the better sounding EcoBoost Mustang exhausts
You are in a sports car!
Question. Were you able to turn off the fake exhaust sound that plays through the speakers or are you now hearing both?
Would these pass NY inspection?
These void warranty!
??
How much is this running your pocket?
Its nice that it doesn't sound like a rice-burner.
Dunno, Borla atak s with carbon tips is what I have, sounds the same and looks the same

Any dyno results? Is there any HP/TQ increase? Is a tune required with this exhaust?
About tree fitty!
Did you deactivate the artificial exhaust audio pumped through the speakers for the recording? Love the sound from the outside recording.
Wait, they did that too? Just V8 it and stop wasting our time with lack luster MPGS out a V6. What I will say is the Explorer exhaust always sound better than the Raptor ones.
Heard that the reason for the turndowns was in the police models, exhaust got into the cabin. Any such problems with these?
That was the previous generation. They have the turn downs on this gen as a way to reduce soot buildup on the chrome tips
Sounds and looks similar to the borla atak. Either way you go you'll be happy to get rid of that awful speaker exhaust noise
The Borla ATAK is 2.25 inches in diameter and has a mid muffler. As far as sound goes, this is far and away better than the ATAK, and will offer better flow when couple with the Thermal R&D mid-pipes. Also add the FenFAB downpipes.
sounds great im disappointed in the Borla which is shocking to me but MBRP an Corsa nailed this car
In Sport mode the exhaust note changes with stock. What does it sound like in sport mode with this system?

Turned mine off with forscan
I sure would like to see it with an oval or rectangular tip, rather than the fake duals.
@MBRP, is there any drone with this system if so at what speeds?
Yes
wow cool!
I don’t know. I like the Corsa. It sounds deeper and meaner.
Love those tips. Worried about drone though.
It drones bad sadly lol
