100% will order this over thermal or borla. I’m very intrigued on how it will sound with my catless fenfab down pipes.
Sounds great but Not exhaust related question…. Is that a matte green wrap on the ST? Definitely not a stock color. I’d love to see more in what’s done to this Explorer.
It's a wrap and looks soooo damn good in person.
I bought an MBRP catback and the nice thing about it is sounds like just wow… I was about to buy Borla but I felt personnaly it would be too loud but MBRP such a nice aggressive/smooth at the same time.

It looks like you need a new PCV valve or to switch over to 5W 40 Rotella T6 or Amsoil 5w40 max diesel oil
Finally found something mild that isn’t a trumpet. What is it like with an intake?
While this ST still has the stock intake system, the exhaust note shouldn't change drastically with an intake, apart from hearing some more turbo noise and blowoff sound.

How do those do off-road, 0-60mph, top speed, quarter mile?
The AWE exhaust wouldn't effect anything too drastically as far as performance goes. However, if you're referring to the vehicle in general, the Explorer ST's are great, versatile vehicles. The more off-road version would be the Explorer Timberline, as the ST is more on-road performance oriented. The ST in stock configuration achieves 0 to 60 mph in roughly 5.3 seconds and reaching a limited top speed of 143 mph. 1/4 mile time is roughly 13.8 at 101mph.
Is that slight rattle normal on the stock exhaust when it revs down at 4:58? This sounds familiar and I’m curious if it’s typical for these factory exhausts to rattle a bit.
100% normal for the junk stock exhaust. Ford should have done a lot more R&D on the factory mid pipes that have the accordion style flex fittings. The stock ones fail very quickly. I tried to get Ford to replace them on my wife’s 2020 ST. They wouldn’t. I finally broke down and bought Lethal Performance mid pipes that are very nicely built. I installed them myself, was fairly easy. The rattle is completely gone now. Next up is the Gibson axle back.
How does this compare to the Thermal R&D 3"? I was getting ready to purchase the Thermal til I saw this.
That kit sounds great. I would love to put one on my 22. A little crackle and pop would be even better. What's the price range?

AWE states the systems adds roughly 13 hp and 12 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.
Why don't people just straight pipe these? Already has a damn muffler as a turbo, how much quieter do you want it 😂
