Thank you for another great video, Yvan and Nick. I'm a big fan. Been watching your channel for quite a while now and just had to say how much I appreciate your efforts for making these videos! In every one of your video there are gems of new interesting and useful information. Keep it up and enjoy the process guys. 🙏
I got streaking form quick beads on my matte wrap and it’s not coming off, how do I got about getting it off? Will it come off over time? Does it stain wraps?
Carrying on from my earlier comment Ivan quick beads stained my matte wrap, I’m washing it in 4 days is this ok? Quick beads won’t permanent stain the wrap will it?
FYI, this Jeep's is designed to get wet. Other vehicles' engines are not. It is always a good idea to throw a plastic grocery bag or cling wrap over your alternator and anything that you feel like might need protection. It only takes a few seconds and the peace of mind is worth it. I have been washing engines for over 40 years. Using a garden hose is generally safer than a pressure washer if you are doing this for the first time.
@@diydetailofficial Yes, but it doesn't saturate every part of the engine. I don't like making a blanket statement for all vehicles because there's always the exception. I was just advising caution.
I agree except do not use plastic bags or cling wraps. if u forget and start the engine it will tie up and even melt. Use aluminum foil from a dollar store. It will just shred if u forget and cause no damage.
This is such a bogus statement. Automotive electronics such as the alternator are made to get wet. If not all traffic would stop in a rain storm. Surprisingly vehicles actually don't quit if you drive thru a puddle.
Great video, I would have liked to see you guys deal with the underside of that hood too. Lots of small intricate places while staying away from the fabric sound material. By the way, is there any good way to make those things look better? I’m guessing that can’t be cleaned.
"Rising off the fenders to keep them safe." Can you explain more, I thought All Clean diluted 15:1 could be used as a pre-treat for vehicles before washing to help break down the dirt and grime? Happy new year!

If you wipe down your engine after every wash there is no need for this. Maintenance is the key. I have cleaned engines since the 80's. a strong stream is not good. If u do need it A light stream aka "shower" from top downward is all u need. The alternator and battery should be covered. U can use aluminum foil which takes the shape. in my opinion if one lets the engine get that dirty he is not gonna be caring for the rest of his car. A Clean engine is just as important as the outside. You can "eat off my engines".

If you have a newer vehicle like a 2022 F 150, disconnecting and/or a dead battery and you’ll wind up at the dealer getting battery management system “reset” which is a pain in the arse. My mechanic loves it when I bring my truck in for an oil change, he says I'm one of the few that has a clean engine bay
It makes a difference!

How long can you safely leave 15:1 All Clean overspray on paint before rinsing?
As long as it doesn’t dry
"Rising off the fenders to keep them safe." Can you explain more, I thought All Clean diluted 15:1 could be used as a pre-treat for vehicles before washing to help break down the dirt and grime? Happy new year!
DIY Detail All Clean is safe, but we don’t recommend allowing any chemical to dry on the surface.
Ultimately, what is the purpose or end goal of engine bay cleaning?
Appearance, and making your mechanic happy.
Will Rinseless Wash remove that much All Clean? I do not have access to a hose.
For this, you need a hose

If it has a distributor, yes bag it. Your engine gets wet when you drive in the rain
What about covering the battery, is that needed same for rinseless wash?
No need
One more question: Could you use a ceramic spray on a jet of water like you did the quick beads?
It needs to be a water activated like DIY Detail Quick Beads
is it totally save even on newly hyprid cars ?
For a hybrid, check with the manufacturer
