    Totally just realized this was for the closed back design. Don’t understand why the comparison between an open back vs closed?

    • @District.24
      @District.24  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why not? They’re not radically different. Lots of people want a comparison knowing all to well that the headsets in question differ in one or two areas. Where possible I try to keep closed-back with closed-back, but it’s not always possible. The PC38X only came in open-back, and I’ve lost count of how many of my viewers wanted to know if the H6Pro was better in comparison.

    • @nashwalker7
      @nashwalker7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@District.24 I just think it would be complete if you were to compare open back vs open back. The H6pro open is almost just as open as my 58x. Just throwing it your way. Glad your channel is picking up you deserve it.

    • @AssassinKID
      @AssassinKID 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I own the GSP500, the PC38x and the H6pro open back, the H6 is just the GSP with better design, more bassy and intimate than the PC38x. For music I prefer the PC38x, more natural sounding without feeling bloated. For gaming the PC38x is also better for me as the Soundstage is slightly larger and the low ends are balanced so I can still hear other sounds without them being drowned out. H6/GSP are great for single player games and movies with more punch and oomph.
      Mic wise (plugging in straight into my PC motherboard), I find that the H6Pro removable mic has ok quality, a tiny bit worse than the GSP mic, a bit more nasally compress effect, but better background noise cancelation. It is much better than the PC38x mic however, which picks up too much plosives (p,b sounds and breathing noise due to its sensitivity).
      Comfort wise, H6 is best for me, more streamline vs the GSP, less clamp than the other 2, numbered sides, removable mic and best looking. The PC38x clamp is not bad but is nonlinear so the bigger the user's head, the tighter the clamp. I had to stretch mine over the PC case to ease it. The PC38x earpads are also narrower and longer, so there is a tiny bit of clamp force under and behind the ears. It comes with 2 types of pads in the box, mesh and velour. The mesh are softer without the foam inside, provides breathability and airiness while the velour feels better on skin, but has foam and traps more bass.

    • @nashwalker7
      @nashwalker7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AssassinKID what you said is likely spot on. I haven’t tried the Pc38x mostly because I know how I am and would return them due to aesthetics. Just not a fan of the design but that’s totally preference. The H6pro just checks all the boxes for me. Good sound, imaging. Amazing comfort, probably the most comfortable headset iv ever worn. It’s all in one so just one cable and the build and aesthetics are slightly better than my hd58x. I have it plugged into my gsx.

    • @AssassinKID
      @AssassinKID 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nashwalker7 Yep, I also use the H6Pro as my main headset now. Though I prefer the tonality and sound balance of the PC38x, the comfort, build quality and removable mic feature of the H6Pro are too hard to pass up.

    Open or closed back? I need comfort & sound, which?

    • @District.24
      @District.24  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'll get comfort and sound from both, but superior comfort from the H6Pro. You have to decide which type of sound experience you want, and then from that you can decide which (open or closed) is better for your needs. Let me share with you an example. I use both the PC38X (open-back) and the H6Pro (closed-back). When I'm alone I will use the PC38X, because I won't be disturbing my family, I can still hear if someone is at the door, and the sound stage is broader when playin my game of choice (BFV). When the family is home, so as not to disturb them, especially late at night, and to not be distracted by the sound of my kid yelling, I will use my H6Pro.

    Im a little confused by the Coolermaster mh751 mic feedback comment, that headset is a closedback, your saying you still get feed back enough though its closed?
    I've been looking at those as well since they are a remake of the takstar pro82

    • @District.24
      @District.24  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t know as to why there is sound leakage coming from the MH751, but I can tell you this: that headset is very light, and all the headsets I experience this problem with are light - with a hollowness to the cups. So perhaps they’re all lacking some sort of sound dampening. Again, I don’t know, but what I do know is that it’s happening. I always test my headsets with friends and strangers online. If they can hear themselves feeding back, and I can’t fix it on my end, I return the headset.

    Do you have experience with the Sony 1000MX3s? If so, do you have an option/comparison on the in-game sound quality between those and either the PC38X or H6Pro? Right now I'm using the MX3s with a mic attachment from V-MODA but there always seems to be a minor issue with the mic and I'm curious about trying out something designed for gaming but I'm worried about taking a hit in sound-quality, especially if I'd be losing the active-noise cancelling from the MX3s

      @District.24  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of the many things I like about the H6Pro is how loud it is. I have hearing loss, and even I find it too loud at times. The problem you are having is not the headset, unless you have a dud. If all your volumes are turned up, and it's not loud enough for you, because of your onboard sound card, then you will need an amp. I plug mine directly into my PS5 controller and it's loud. I use it with my GSX 1000 amp on my PC, and it is loud.

      The difference between a headphone and headset is the microphone. Headsets come with built in mics.

      I use the GSX1000, and that on 70% volume equals 100% volume of the GSX300. The GSX300 sound signature is lovely, but more volume is often desired. Luckily the H6PRO and the PC38X produce a very loud sound, meaning the GSX300 doesn’t have to work too hard. On a PC, it’s not worth the money, but your ears may disagree.

    • @District.24

      Well, I still own the Sennheiser Game One and Game Zero, which came out seven years ago. They are both hard plastic like the PC38X, and there is not a scratch on them. They work perfectly. Admittedly, I don't abuse my headsets/headphones, but trust me when I tell you that these audio devices are solid, and will only break if you abuse them. I've only had the H6Pro for a couple of months, but I have no reason to believe it will fail due to quality control issues. None of my other Sennheiser (EPOS) headsets and headphones have.
      The H6Pro is made out of mostly hard plastic with some metal in it. It will last just as long as the DT 770 if you don't abuse it, but if you were to drop them both off the roof of your house, my money is on the DT 770 to survive.

    I bought both and for music the PC38X sound amazing. The sound is just so natural and makes me feel good. The H6Pro (for me) is inferior and just sounds dull. I tried the PC38X for 4 days and received H6Pro on the 5th, and it just felt like a downgrade. As if dull and weirdly tuned sounds were just being thrown at my ears. Also the balance seemed not perfect, similar to my Razer blackshark v2 x. To me, the PC38X sound premium, whereas the H6pro sound more bass-ey but off in other aspects and overall just a good gaming headset, not a good overall headset.

      Sound is subjective, so we all hear things slightly differently. The important thing is you found a sound that you love. Enjoy and happy gaming. :)

    Hi Troy, you're comparing 🍏 to🍊, too bad you didn't compare the H6pro "OPEN" to PC38x, 😟

      Firstly, it’s about comparing the headsets that people want compared, because those are the ones they’re interested in. Secondly, you can’t always get two open-back versions or two closed-back versions. Lastly, the sound difference between open-back and closed back isn’t radically different. I have plenty of followers who ask me to compare headsets to headphones, cheap vs expensive. So my comparisons are what they are, and you’re just going to have to accept it.

      You haven't made a bad choice. Enjoy the PC38X, especially in an open world game and/or FPS. The imaging is fantastic.

    I want to buy a gaming headset for my bro but his head is large.... like damn large. I'm guessing h6pro is the way to go

      I would be surprised if it wasn’t. Can’t you just tape two external speakers to a baseball cap, and stick that on his head?

    They all peel eventually unless it's cloth. Some people run hotter have have sweaty ears.
