As a Cantonese, we often say, "For food, go to Guangzhou; for chefs, they come from Fengcheng." Fengcheng refers to Shunde. Renowned Cantonese chefs have traditionally come from Shunde, and Cantonese people also enjoy going there for authentic Cantonese cuisine. I'm quite surprised that you know to seek out the flavors of Shunde, though it's a pity you don't eat meat. Shunde is famous for its fish dishes.

vegetarian: no meat
vegan: nothing animal
