Here's a tip I learned over the years. If you are leaving a vehicle in a garage/barn for a long period of time, leave the hood open. It keeps the mice out of the engine bay because it's not a closed "safe feeling " area.
You know you're in the "Bigtime" when your contacts at Jegs watch your videos and Pre-pull the parts you need and have them ready the next time they see you!!! I always love seeing Uncle Terry and/or Ms. Kimmy in your videos. Keep up the EXCELLENT content!
Monte Carlo sure is sharp looking car for being painted in a barn. Someone did a pretty good job on it and uncle bob going to be building LS engines before long you can tell he’s a smart man on motors just about to have the fuel injection figured out and can’t wait to see the Monte Carlo all done I bet it will be a power house on pump gas
I’d love that ole dually , my son gets tickled with every flatbed truck he sees. He yells look that’s a farmer! Glad to see that truck served you well. Keep it up!
The never give up attitude that your dad has Bill im sure inspires many i know it does me. The 572 nova sure is a nice ride sitting next to a good looking Monte, that would be something a 572,TKX 5 speed and 373 gears would make a awesome drag and drive and so would the 440 small block with twins what a awesome car collection you and the kids have. Thanks for the entertainment and the much needed laughter that i get from your videos Bill. God bless and as always be safe.
That old flatbed would mean the world to me, I just can't afford a truck on disability, I'm 51 yrs old and live in Pennsylvania about 15 min from Youngstown Ohio. If nobody else wants that truck, you'd make a old man happy, love you and the boys channel I'm a long time follower. I've been trying to find a truck I could afford for a decade now, let me know what you want for that beauty
I give Uncle Bob a lot of credit. He's a hell of a builder from what I can see from the Ol Mans Garage videos. Ol man Bill is also an inspiration. Great to see him taking care of his ENTIRE family, including Bob....!! And Yes, Ol, NOT OLD..!!
Great to see your Dad on his old John Deere plowing. Reminds me of my Dad on his old "A" John Deere plowing up to plant corn or soybeans. Very entertaining video, the Monte' is going to be a real boulevard bruiser with twins. Go fast and be safe. God bless you and your family and friends.
Seeing those new emblems takes me back. When I was a kid I’d take off emblems, hood ornaments, etc off of cars in my grandpas salvage yard. The Cadillac’s and Monte Carlo’s always had the nicest ones.😂 Though it wasn’t till I was 12 or so when I found out that a specific area of the yard was impound storage, those cars were to be picked up by their owners. Sometimes missing some things.😬🤷♂️😂
Hi Bill, I noticed that the Monte needs a headliner. If I remember correctly it came from the factory with a perforated headliner. I had to replace a perforated headliner on a Monte Carlo SS I owned a few years back. My Upolstery shop at the time suggested that it should be replaced with a padded velour material. They used the original board because it was a low mileage car. It was the same color as yours and it came out beautiful. The velour material used was 100 times better than the typical velour material used back in the 80’s. The velour had 1/8th inch of pink padding that made it sturdy, soft to the touch and made the interior look like it was out of a Cadillac. Best of all it was $100.00. Best of luck with the Monte Carlo. It’s in beautiful condition 👍
I love that in these videos you got all kinds of little adventures. Your never bored watching an Old Man video, that's for sure! A good family fun video that's sooo entertaining. Loved watching that old John Deere plowing the fields! Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.
Old Man, here's a trick I've learned from living in the country surrounded by fields and vehicles that mice love to make a home in.. get yourself a box of bounce dryer sheets and place them around the vehicle inside. They don't like the smell and it also will keep them from chewing on everything
Great video..all different kinds of content mixed in one upload! I had high hopes of getting some audio on the Nova ..manual and 572 should be pretty satisfying! The remote stuff out at Bobs is just great..he’s got a cool vibe for sure. Man I hope we see OMG , SRC and G2G at Edgewater this year ?
Never heard of that before, many people don't know how to drive a manual transmission, but never heard of someone not charging one before, but in that car it's an easy job
It's great seeing Bob hollering and loving playing around with technology when working on the engine dyno ...THE MONTE CARLO IS GOING TO BE SWEET ESPECIALLY WITH TWINS AND ALL OTHERWISE ORIGINAL...I SEEN THE POST FROM THE GUY WHO ENDED UP WITH BILL'S CHEVY II... THAT IS TRULY FAITH GETTING THAT GUY SOMETHING TO REMEMBER HIS WIFE AND IT'S LIKE IT WAS WRITTEN TO BE HONEST.... LOVE ALL THESE OTHER STORIES YOU DON'T SEE ON THE CHANNELS...
My 79 Pontiac Gran Lemans Safari Wagon sat in a storage lot for over 25 years. The interior was nuked. Me being a body and paint guy I figured out a way to restore those faded and chalked out plastic pieces. It's a bit of work but the results are almost as close to how the factory originals look. The interior on the wagon now looks just as nice as it was new from my technique of restoring the plastics.
@@2clicks2theright375 that and i doubt you could get a H-pattern transmission and clutch that would hold 900+ftlbs of big block torque. Would probably have to go with a lenco or liberty and now the numbers are getting out of hand
That’s nuts a guy painted that car in a barn. I been thinking I’ll be re painting my car in my garage next winter. This gives me confidence I can do a good job.
I did my S10 I'm building under my carport with a gravel floor and it came out great. Another truck I did I bought one of those portable car ports with the enclosed kits from harbor freight and it was a clean paint job also.
Rebuild the 454 from the dually, keeping it mostly stock, hook it to an overdrive and drop it in Vicky's El Camino. Because then you're not letting it rot, but recycling the usable parts and keeping it in the family.
Lots of moving parts in the daily life these days for you all! Certainly making the most of "off season". Having laid eyes on that Monte Carlo it's a sharp machine for sure, looking forward to seeing what it's second life will be!
The 5.3 in my c10 has the regulator on the rail like that one. Its an 03 out of an Avalanche. So its first yr for Drive by wire and last yr rail mounted regulator. Mine runs awesome but its stock for now. I wanna build it one day hopefully. Needs paint first. Super solid Texas truck.

I know this is an older video but I seen y’all sealed up the iac motor on the throttle body with the fi tech intake. But that silver tube looking thing on the left side that turns up is a vacuum port for the passenger side valve cover. It’s for the pcv system. So cap that elbow on the cable drive throttle bodies.
The chrome impact straps in the bumper covers are really good on the Monte Carlo if factory don't see ones like that most are peeling and look bad that car is so nice.
Hey Bill! Now we are really talking! back to some great info video’s and wonderful content. It’s good to see Bob enjoying himself and hope they have his medical stuff behind him.
