- With the thin clear ice we have now around the area I thought it would be the perfect time to do a little muskrat trapping with 110 conibears. Please check out my pages below!!

Came across your channel. Use to trap when I was in college. Nutria mainly. Nutria ran most of the musk rats off. Farmers paid me 3 bucks a nutria and an old timer paid me 10 and he would skin them out. Now I just trap them to keep them from eating my crops. Fur market is sad. Synthetics and the enviro nuts just ruined a market on a renewable resource. Keep up the videos. You do a great job from what I have seen. Cheers from Oregon.

Awesome video! Was really cool to see those rats swimming under the ice like that! I wish our ponds and lakes would freeze crystal clear like that, but they never do!

I use to trap them when I was in high school! It was a blast! I got 5 to 8 bucks per hide , what are they going for now. That was 30 years ago. Enjoyed this video!

Hey 330! My name is Amos I am 16 yrs. old and have been trapping for roughly 3 years now so I don't know ALOT about trapping, but I need some advice on mink trapping. I live in West Mi. and we just went thru a couple of REALLY cold weeks. and the creek and culvert are pretty well frozen over. Could you possibly make a video on mink trapping after a deep freeze to give me some pointers? That would be just great! I don't run a lot of traps mainly because of how busy school gets, but I just really enjoy getting out and spending time out side trying new sets. Ryan Ellifson its a single stick i place between the trap jaws to the trap cant swing back and forth if a beaver or rat hitz it

What if all summer there is a pond with lots of rats at it then come winter time there is no sign of them, no huts, can’t see runs and it looks like nothing lives there anymore. Are they still under the ice? Frustrated with trying to find these buggers
Canadian Duke use baited sets under the ice or if you can try muskrat floats before it freezez and use apples and carrots as bait

So i am sort of new to beaver and rat trapping iv allways just trapped coon,fox,coyote and cats my little girl has just gottin into wanting to trap mink,beaver,and rats witch im all for we just cought our first beaver thanks to you and he was big. How do i know if ther are more? And thanks

What do I do? Need some answers and not finding them anywhere. I live in town for a pond full of rats don't know Jack about trapping but figuring it out as I go. Don't want to get anyone in trouble have set any traps just walking the pond learning and making mock sets i guess you could say (no traps just bait i guess) to see if I'm on to something since its all new to me. Having issues with disappearing stuff I watched a lil closer and some kids were pulling it out and tossing it. Whatever no harm since no money went and talked to them and they came back with they took the trapping course and all so they know what not to do i would assume. My question is what the **** should I do cuz isn't it against the law in MN to mess with traps that Arndt yours but I'm not trapping so yeah what should I do is one know not a big deal but it is pissing me off
Wtf 666 iys against the law to tamper with someones traps. But you arent trapping so what they are doing is legal i believe. Set muskrat floats out in the water where the kids cant reach when you do set
Yeah that what got me can't set floats ponds frozen and the Damn this g are rutting my yard no traps but soon will be and I don't think that will change much of anything from them
That and if frozen with child's ice the only way to know would be pulling it out witch they did so if with a big if they were traps then they're be screwed and from Simone that's made there way back from the bad side of the law i really don't want them to find there way into that cuz getting out into nature is the way to live guess it's just a shit hole Selena and it will get felt with th way it's gotta thanks for the kids helping out with the leading a lot
Wtf 666 if you are NJ it shure what you are doing, adults can learn a lot from the same trappers course that younger folks have to take in MN to get a trapping license. These trapper education courses are put on by the MN trappers association. Check them out, it's a fun, informative day.
