Great trip to Zurich DB IC2 Stadler KISS
Thanks also for the introduction Stuttgart 21
21 for XXI century which will be the most important construction that will modify the station district from the main station of Berlin near Chancellery of the Bundestag.
Munich Central Station will also have to undergo major changes on its eastern part and in depth to accommodate the second S-Bahn line which has not moved since 1972 date of the Summer Olympics.
.In 2019, WESTbahn, ÖBB's direct competitor with Railjet on the Vienna-Munich route, sold its entire fleet of 17 Stadler KISS1 and KISS2 units of 4 and 6 units to Deutsche Bahn for its InterCity-IC-2 Connections service in two tranches (7 multiple units in 2017 and 10 multiple units in 2021) replaced by 15 more efficient KISS 3 multiple units. It should be noted that Deutsche Bahn Fernverkehr trains have been modified to Stadler Rail 🇨🇭 according to the standards in force in Germany with a change in speed from 160 to 200 km/h thanks to more efficient bogies

IC2 is not the designation of a train but a service of DB Fernverkehr which also includes reversible trains in push-pull TWINDEXX VARIO with TRAXX P160 AC2 and TRAXX P160 AC3

The reason why this train was so full is because while it is an IC train and also operates as one, it can also be used with tickets for regional trains which are much cheaper and it’s basically the only way to get to singen from stuttgart because db killed off the regional train between these two cities and came up with this solution instead. Before 2017 there was an ic on this route operated by sbb and alongside it there was a regional to singen operated by db regio

My feelings exactly. I haven’t travelled between Stuttgart and Zurich in these units, but have used the SBB equivalent on the Zurich S-Bain, and they’re not really suitable for longer distances. The older IC carriages are much more spacious and suitable for an international service (I can’t remember if they had a restaurant car in the previous configuration). I guess the SBB Twindex are much the same as these Stadler KISS units, although the Twindex units have been criticised for the uncomfortable ride. In contrast the SBB Giruno units are excellent.

    good one
KISS is not well suited for long distances. it's a "suburban" train
plus 1st class is not really 1st class

I guess it’s just about bearable for the trip between Stuttgart and Zurich, but I’m not sure I’d want to go on a longer journey in one of these units, especially paying a first class fare and having to sit in a 2+2 seating carriage. Enjoyable video thanks.

It's not a super long journey however let's be honest, the 2nd class is okay but 1st class is just not what it should be. I'm not often reality negative about trains but I should also be honest if something isn't that great and that's definitely the case for this train.

The second end isn't first class, though it looks almost identical, it's actually second class.

The trains are made by a Swiss company indeed, however I wouldn't say I didn't like these trains but what is a fact, for me) is that these are not the nicest trains I ever travelled in.

    Now this train looks terrible...

I personally wouldn't use those words, but I agree that this are not the nicest trains.

Really strange decision to make first class a table seat config. You would assume that most first class passengers travel solo, perhaps duo's and not in groups. Also, you would expect more personal space in the form of a 1 and 2 layout and not a 2-2 like here, especially on a double decker train which is naturally more cramped of course. A first class product that offers no personal space nor privacy seems like a failed product.

Yes, I agree this is a good 2nd class product but the first class isn't good at all.
