Daut should have attacked the pallisade wall protecting those two villagers. Even if Tatoh repaired it, that would have been less wood chopping time and more wood spent repairing.
This one was a bit of a shame. I think that Daut had both a better plan and a better execution, but Teutons on Smallest maps is basically a civ win. I don't think they have lost yet.
Loving the small maps. Agree if you do it again there needs to be either a tower ban or maybe a mod that makes every new tower cost something like 20% more than the last so that the answer isn't "build more towers" 90% of the time.
Forgot about ES_Moats. That threw me off because I was thinking about how I've seen people dock the moats until you mentioned that version is *Team* Moats.
My AoE friend group have recently discovered team moats and it’s quickly become our favourite map. Just wish more people played it so we could fill up a server more easily.

We can't know what was going on in his head, but DauT did almost every single thing too late or just plain wrong. TaToH didn't so much win as DauT lost :P
Daut had the much better start. The house on his moat made it hard for Tatoh to block him in (as well as vision in case he tried anyway). The 2 vills were seen and trapped, could easily be cleaned up with a tower or even an archer - Teuton bonus wouldn't help them as there was only 2 vills. Ultimately, it just came down to the fact that Tatoh was Teutons, and that made it impossible to keep him trapped in with a tower war. Basically any other civ, Daut would have kept him in there for long enough for Tatoh to run out of stone, and could clean up the 2 escapees whenever things settled down. Definitely a civ win on this one.
I think the people have spoken, we should outright ban all feudal age towers in these maps going forward. Perhaps even consider a ban on TC rushing as well. I think these are more fun when they hit castle, because variety of units and strategies explodes in castle age.
I'll watch this because i remember you are taking a deserved break but at this point this format as become a boring tower fight and clearly sweaty pros make it less entertaining at least for me.

Im just over the tower wars, Iv said it on like 3 videos no ban towers there is zero way to really defend against them in feudal, if they both castle rush at least they can both make trebs and stuff.

I'd up that to 60% more. Should be like 200 stone for a tower because it's currently the only strategy they go for.
I like these small maps, it let's me watch an AOE2 game on my 20 minute breaks at work lol

I love the smallest maps but they all play pretty much the same. Towers cover way too much of the map for anything else to be viable
