- Cale Makar had four points; Nathan MacKinnon scored twice as the Colorado Avalanche dismantled the Vegas Golden Knights 7-1 in Game 1 of their series. Ryan Reaves received a match penalty in the game that also led to a nine-minute Avalanche power play.

I am in no way saying Blues win the series with him but i'm saying they maybe don't get swept, especially on the game where Kadri attempts murder on Justin Faulk and the Blues got a 5 min PP. Perron QBs that and they could've capitalized on it more.

As an Avs fan, respect to Lehner. Despite having a rough night he hung in there and did his best to battle it out for his team, and still made several very good saves even though he knew he wouldn't get the win. That's gotta suck so bad to be in that position. Really unfair/uncool also how NBC was trying to blame this on him

That team is hungry, and after the bullshit on Graves and dominating the entire game, the Avs have the upper hand. Better morale, more fight, and deep solid defense. something Vegas lacks.

Historically, a team who won in 4 has never beaten a team who won in 7.
Same thing happened last year, Vancouver (specifically Demko) got in the head of Vegas with his amazing play and pushed their series to 7, which rattled them, and probably has a good part to play in Vegas losing to Dallas in the conference finals.
Lol. When the score is 7-1, it's sheer superior sportsmanship. But I'll give it to ya, the Wild-Knights (no pun intended) series was a good one!

@@billclay7990 Так и есть, вот именно на фоне противостояния Колорадо-Детройт и возникает то самое понимание, и восхищение, когда рубятся практически равноценные по качеству команды, и реально побеждает сильнейший, но не прогулкой на природе, а в тяжелейшем бою, с полной самоотдачей, иначе не победить. В таком виде и победа слаще, когда противник дает тебе прикурить ничуть не меньше, но ты все-таки побеждаешь.

Rantane had a good game there. Nice to see fellow Finnish do well in NHL.
He's a points producing machine in the playoffs. He has at least one point in 15 straight playoff games going back to last year. Mac might score more points, but Mikko is Mr. consistency, and that's really important in the playoffs.
