  • In this video, we will discuss the Cohen & Coon tuning method. Similar to Ziegler & Nichols methods, we can design controllers using the Cohen & Coon tuning method. We will discuss the procedure and also workout an example in detail. Finally, we will verify our calculations using simulations in MATLAB.
    We follow a logical procedure and provide the solutions step by step such that it clear for you what and why we carry out a specific action.

      Thanks for your nice message. Great to know that you liked the video. This method (Cohen & Coon) is only used for first-order system with a delay.
      You can design a PID controller using the root locus method or frequency response method. This is also possible for 5th order systems. Maybe it is handy to check the videos about this in the following playlist links.
