ACDC grew on me over time
The character development for Jake is amazing. It shows he has that goofy exterior only to hide his unwavering need to save everyone even if it means killing himself in the process.

Honestly the Honeypot is a bright spot in a pretty weak season for me, surprised you didn’t name either of the 2 more reviled episodes, He Said She Said, or Casecation

    My ranking:
Season 5 (best heist ever (proposal))
Season 1 (where it all began)
Season 2 (nearly equal to S1)
Season 4 (Coral Palms and Undercover)
    Season 3 (Plemento rocks)
    Long gap
Season 6 (characters became parodies of themselves)
Season 7 (terrible heist, terrible ending)
    Season 8 (wtf)

Coral palms are one of my favorite episodes

    I like
Season 5. I love jake and Amy. I also love rosas coming out. It’s a big thing for me, and I just love it
Season 7. I like domestic peraltiago. I love how it just shows how people in a new light. Only issue is I don’t like Debbie. Kinda like an annoying Gina.
Season 8 it has a nice wrap up for everyone. I also like peraltiago. It did get a lil political, but I enjoyed it
Season 3. Had some good plots. I really enjoyed seeing jake and Amy exploring situations. I also loved just the way things were, especially with Melissa’s pregnancy being written in.
Season 6. I didn’t like the honeymoon episodes. Other then that it was just kinda meh. I really liked he said she said though. That covered good topics
Season 4. Had some food episodes like Moo Moo. Other then that was just kinda mid, with a few exceptions
Season 1. Pretty good, just makes me cringe.
Season 2. Cannot stand Gina. Also very cringy.

Why does everyone keep lying??? Season 8 was OUTSTANDING! I had to rewind so many scenes to laugh over and over - especially scenes with Terry! Sick of people slagging off season 8 for no reason. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

I just didn’t like Charles development, as he was played more as the guilt ridden white guy. They also just I feel pushed a few things, like it almost didn’t feel natural. I honestly liked the way Jake was the one to quit his job. I have seen people going “he didn’t need to do that”, but he almost did, because they just wouldn’t be able to do it the way they wanted to. Also the man being the stay at home parent is progressive, so I like that

@@Jo.Dixon013 I get that but is it out of character, really? And I actually think they balanced needing to be socially conscious (as a cop show) with being a 20-min comedy show superbly well - that must be incredibly difficult!

They just forced the entire season, the show always had a good mix of drama and comedy, these episodes had neither. The dynamic between Jake and Amy is completely different to other seasons there’s nothing interesting about their relationship at all now. Charles is at his worst by far, him and terry both just feel like side characters. Jake acts nothing like how he did, 6 seasons of character development leading up to this and his attitude was just awful throughout, immature, rude and disrespectful it just made no sense for him to act like that. I could go on but overall it was just not great, really a shame I adored that show. My head canon essentially just excludes season 8 honestly.

@@5aitama638 I began my comment by asking why people are lying and you just repeated all the same garbage I've already read and that I told you is just lies.
They progressed. The show matured and was entirely the right tone for what was going on in the world. It is a comedy and it made me laugh - it did its job and it was brilliant.

@@laestrella9727 lies? What are you on about? I literally explained it all, it’s widely agreed upon that season 8 is fucking garbage and way too politically woke and mature for a light hearted sit com. They brought in all the right issues all the wrong ways. If you can’t see that idk what to tell you

    My ranking :
S2 Great tight all round writing, Jake and Amy got nice buildup & payoff
    S3 All round fun season
S5 : Strong writing, but an ending that robs us of that payoff (The wedding is ruined, holt cliffhanger)
S4 : Very good beginnings and endings, with an interesting arc regarding the precinct shutdown, weak middle
S1 Writers evidently attempting to figure out just how exactly to make the show work, still good.
S7 : High highs and low lows, Debbie brings it down by a lot.
S6: weird writing throughout, show still figuring itself out in NBC, has my least favorite episode (He said, She Said is the most vapid piece of crap ever produced by B99)
S8 : in the words of Micheal Scott “NO! NO GOD PLEASE NO! NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Writers basically aborted this season, its core hollowed out for an unnecessary amount of political activism and drama, Jake doesn’t deserve the ending he gets, nor does it make sense.
