I’ve never had any of your videos play in hdr and I’ve been watching your channel for a long while and it’s weird because many videos I watch hdr automatically enables as soon as I hit play as I see a lot of hdr content on TH-cam so I know it’s not My device so I’m wondering if you’re not actually uploading in hdr where it’s viewable in hdr so maybe you might wanna look into that since it’s your channel and hdr videos are definitely more entertaining to watch especially with the specific content you create
@@HaloinfiniteEternal I feel like it's somekind of new bug on TH-cam that some videos don't ever change to HDR for some weird reason. For me this video never changed to HDR but assassins creed video is HDR. This has happened with me on some other HDR youtubers too like Tha_Villaman with pretty much most of his videos being HDR but some aren't even when they should. Not sure if it's something to do with web browser cache that if i click on the video before it's done HDR processing it never changes.
Thanks for the settings and continuing to share settings for the older CX, loads of us still use that TV, nice to know you still help us with older sets still. I liked the template at the end showing all the oled settings, very clean and easy to read.
Time goes so fast, I still remember myself buying my C9 in a shop in Paris and seeing the beautiful brand new CX showcased in the middle of the shop. It is now considered as OLD! 😅

To answer my own question, the hdr tool used is a reshade plugin by EndlesslyFlowering called Reshade HDR sharers. It can be applied on an hdr video by injecting reshade to mpc-hc video player when madvr renderer is used.
yorue the only person on youtube doing HDR analysis. You should partner with Digital Foundry to have an HDR segment for every game that they do a technical breakdown on since they dont have that in their reviews . They already gave you a cameo, try reaching out to them. partnering with them would expand your audience 1000 fold
Hey! I am playing Forza Motorsport on my LG C3 oled and in the video settings where i am supposed to see a large black FM logo I am instead seeing a grey logo even after setting the brightness to zero. Can you please help me fix this🙏🙏
I heard there is or was a color space bug in this game, I think that was causing the raised blacks: "A color space issue caused when changing your settings in the menu and not restarting the game. In my case, restarting the console was also necessary. Turn 10 told IGN "We have already checked in a fix for this and it’ll be in the next update."

this is the best looking game in HDR and maybe the best looking game I’ve ever seen period. A lot of HDR looks forced or too bright but this just seems to handle it perfectly. It is incredibly immersive.
You sir have earned yourself a subscriber. I have a CX and your videos have helped tremendously. I have one question though, do you leave your black level settings to Auto, Low or High? I see that it changes the picture dramatically.
For info, something you could add to your next videos : On LG CX/C1, if using Dolby Vision, the brightness level has to be set to 1200 nits instead of 800. It's the input value the DV tone mapping is set to. This has been tested by multiple people on ResetEra and AVSForums, and can be verified using the in-game HDR calibration menu (or any game that uses the "disppearing logo" thing). If you use 800 nits in DV mode, you lose peak brightness, if you use 1200 nits, you get the same brightness as HGIG, and you get a bit better color accuracy by default. Not saying one is necessarly better than the other, but the DV mode on those TVs does expect 1200 nits as input instead of 800. The C2/C3 and G2/G3 surely have the same thing going on, probably with a different value for the most recent ones, because of their brighter panels.

No hdr colors is a let down though if it’s correct what I watched and the game doesn’t deliver any hdr color range in game and I’m saying that because hdr brightness is only one aspect of hdr and the color range is equally important
Hi~ I have a question , does forza8 have only "AUTO HDR" mode? because whatever i setup even i turn off Forza8's Auto hdr, I still get AUTO HDR ON tips while in Game intro. is that correct?
Did you notice a graphical bug where when HDR is turned on and set to performence RT the graphics and the and relections flicker and corrupt while in a race? When i set my game to either quality or normal performence i do not have this, i am using LG C2 OLED.
Learned something about the settings. Now i got to research my monitor brightness. Using an AsRock PG27ff1a. Not the best HDR monitor but a hell of a lot better than the monitor I use to have.

How are you getting native HDR in Windows 11? For me there's no option in Forza but to force "Auto HDR" but that's not the true native HDR is it? That's Windows working out an approximation.

Hello, the only reliable source of information about HDR games. I have the impression that game developers are sloppy in this matter. Is the change in gamma adjustments and shadow details due to fw? 1220? Have you noticed a drop in brightness after the latest S95c update? Regards.

I got the LG that has maximum at 850 I’m playing it at Dolby vision and HDR Brightness I’m getting 1,050.00 because at 1,000.00 I was still seeing the forza logo

I have an LG C3 with Hgig enabled and for some reason I can’t get the brightness slider to work properly. The black “FM” logo won’t disappear even while dropping the brightness all the way down. HDR is set properly. Anyone know a fix? What am I doing wrong here?
Great settings not much to change. Playing with hgig enabled. When you first start the game they have some time of strange filter over the game. Not sure if it's a bug but it just didn't look great. After you pick your car and finish the practice lap that strange filter is gone and the game now looks great. I wonder if it will pop up later on. I'm not a fan of it.
Could you please explain what you should set on older televisions to get a perfect HDR image? For example, I have an LG UH630V (HDR10) and now I don't know what to set. If I leave the brightness set to 50 in the TV menu, the left Forza logo is gray instead of black. If I set the brightness to 45-48 it is no longer visible (as it should be) but then the values in the HDR calibration app on the Xbox Series X are no longer correct. So what is more important now that the left logo is not displayed or that HDR is, in my opinion, calibrated correctly? greetings from Germany
Doesn't look quite as awesome if you don't have LG G2 tv, blacks for me are greys, to the point I can see the black forza logo in the box on the left, my other games don't do this and my HDR is correctly calibrated.
I have the same problem on my LG UH630V. I know that this TV is a bit older but everything should still be displayed normally. Maybe it's a problem with the game itself?

I have c9,also calibrated via the hdr setting in xbox BUT is it normal to put the HDR Brightness in the game at 850nits? My Forza motorsport logo dissapears at 3.900nits... Is this normal?
Hm so no HDR color space, just autoHDR, SDR tonemapped to HDR peak brightness? This is no real HDR for me to be honest, so much more would be possible. I'm worried that this gets already valued as very good HDR by you....
Because it looks good. No HDR black level raise , great contrast and colours are just good. Of course I would like to have some bt2020 colours but that's how it is. Hdr in Forza is very good

For whatever reason the HDR setting is broken for me on Xbox. On PC when you set the HDR brightness on my LG CS2, the picture does start to disappear at the setting 800, which makes sense. On Xbox, it only starts to disappear at setting 3500 which makes no sense at all. No idea why.

I have autism/aspergers and I just got this Samsung s95c HD 4k 65" inch TV and I manly use my Xbox series X for Microsoft edge to watch my TV show on flixtor or Netflix and some reds and colors are so bright that it's bothering me and my eyes and making me sick and nauseous. I do suffer from mast cell activation, multiple heavy metals, multiple molds, all throughout my body and brain so I like my TV to be calm and relaxing picture and color so the brightness doesn't make me sick. I’m sorry but I have a question. When I recalibrate my HDR on the Xbox console. I have an LG C2. I set my max white and such at 800. But yet there’s still checkered showing up. The image never goes completely white? Is that normal?
@@autoscopy that’s what I thought. I followed instructions from previous videos on how to set up the LG C2 how to calibrate everything. The picture looks amazing. But for some reason in the little test box, they are still checkered, even though my values show up correctly.
Spent a good few hours on it now and GT7 wipes the floor with it in so many departments that’s without even mentioning the VR2 support which is unreal, Forza isn’t a bad game it’s just not the leap forward I was hoping for, still a solid arcade racer though
I have a Hisense u7g which for many kinds of content has spectacular HDR but not my Xbox. Dolby Vision is washed out and dull. Hdr10 is better but looks nothing like what you're showing here.
@@GamingTech-TH-cam you should definitely reconsider your decision to stop uploading in hdr because honestly it’s so much better for your content since your speciality is hdr so I’m thinking you should continue to deliver the hdr content but it’s your channel not mine so it’s just sharing how I feel about it because when you do a video about hdr while also uploading in hdr it makes the video so much better because we can actually view the hdr content

HDTV test did some HDR analysis, and Gaming on plasma tv does a lot of good HDR content too.
No other channel is as dedicated as this man. He does the majority of big AAA releases, is a treasure to the community.

For me it's obvious, the car models of GT 7 are way much better by miles. FM also has a blurry effect impacting the picture.

No issues here. Auto HDR is disabled and if works with native hdr. Not sure what can be wrong with your setup. Is it just this game?

Tbh...I haven't tested the game again but I haven't heard anything about hdr changes for this game. So I would say no difference

Did they remove MSAA on PC? It seems like they're using TAA now and it seems a bit blurry. There is no AA setting.

Same for me on my q80t. Black logo is very visible even with brightness turned down to 0. Perfect on FH5 so don't know what I'm doing wrong.

@speedtree hdr has a much wider dynamic range compared to sdr. On a proper hdr screen , hdr will look better in this game.

My 77” G3 clips at 1500 nits on the XsX (OS) HDR settings. So in game wouldn’t I set HDR brightness to 1650 not 1550?
Yes, on the Xbox go a little bit higher than usual.
For whatever reason the HDR setting is broken for me on Xbox. On PC when you set the HDR brightness on my LG CS2, the picture does start to disappear at the setting 800, which makes sense.
On Xbox, it only starts to disappear at setting 3500 which makes no sense at all.
No idea why.
Sounds like you have turned on hgig on the PC and dtm on on the xbox for the c2

I have autism/aspergers and I just got this Samsung s95c HD 4k 65" inch TV and I manly use my Xbox series X for Microsoft edge to watch my TV show on flixtor or Netflix and some reds and colors are so bright that it's bothering me and my eyes and making me sick and nauseous. I do suffer from mast cell activation, multiple heavy metals, multiple molds, all throughout my body and brain so I like my TV to be calm and relaxing picture and color so the brightness doesn't make me sick. And how do I turn my 1080 HD 4k on and connect/Sink my Dolby Atmost tv to my Xbox Dolby Atmost? Thank you for helping me.
The only thing what you can do is turn down color , brightness and contrast in the menu of the TV.
I’m sorry but I have a question. When I recalibrate my HDR on the Xbox console. I have an LG C2. I set my max white and such at 800. But yet there’s still checkered showing up. The image never goes completely white? Is that normal?

@@autoscopy that’s what I thought. I followed instructions from previous videos on how to set up the LG C2 how to calibrate everything. The picture looks amazing. But for some reason in the little test box, they are still checkered, even though my values show up correctly.
@@autoscopy found the issue I had darkroom level, one set in game optimizer.🤦🏼♂️ I put it back on normal. The little boxes went white.

Spent a good few hours on it now and GT7 wipes the floor with it in so many departments that’s without even mentioning the VR2 support which is unreal, Forza isn’t a bad game it’s just not the leap forward I was hoping for, still a solid arcade racer though

I have a Hisense u7g which for many kinds of content has spectacular HDR but not my Xbox. Dolby Vision is washed out and dull. Hdr10 is better but looks nothing like what you're showing here.
yep, I'll be playing on PC
950 with DTM is way too much. I keep it at 800
So when everything looks washed out then it's HDR.

@@GamingTech-TH-cam you should definitely reconsider your decision to stop uploading in hdr because honestly it’s so much better for your content since your speciality is hdr so I’m thinking you should continue to deliver the hdr content but it’s your channel not mine so it’s just sharing how I feel about it because when you do a video about hdr while also uploading in hdr it makes the video so much better because we can actually view the hdr content
