My garden store ran out of amaryllis bulbs at Xmas so I bought trios of hyacinth inside. They are coming up slowly. I planted one set in those leca clay balls. The theory is they give a good combo of water and air for the roots. It seems impossible to over-water as you simply douse with water until it runs out. I have had good luck with this method with my snake plant.
Happy 2024, Prairie Plantgirl! 🎉
Great video...good information. How cool to have such beautiful blooms indoors over the winter.😃
I am really enjoying have these bright flowers inside.
Thank you for showing us the different types. They do brighten things up a bit.
Yes they do
Hello from Shellbrook area. Great deal on some nice varieties at Canadian Tire right now in Prince Albert

That sounds like a great set up.
Your red is Lion king not what you label indicated check it out 🙏👍
I keep saying I will invest in some, but I don't. I think it's because they need more care than I can provide.
They don’t need much if you just treat them as annuals and toss them after they bloom.
I don't think your red one is Minerva. Minerva is not all red.
Perhaps. Sometimes things get labelled wrong. There is some white on mine, but it doesn’t show up well on camera for me.
