Thank you very much for this comment, and for subscribing. I'd like to go back to this area and camp a little closer to a river. Exmoor is a really beautiful area. Welcome to my channel!
Hi, new friend love outdoors here, very good camping video presentation. I just subscribe and like your nice video. Very good looking tents and absolutely good quality tents. Beautiful camping site and very peaceful place to hide. Thank you for sharing your wonderful camping adventures my friend 🤝 😍 👍
Hello Lorenzo, and thank you for your kind comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for subscribing - I've subscribed to you too, to see what you get up to 👍
It's random looking back at these colder camps. The colours are totally different and the darkness that sets in. Noticed on recent camps that it never really gets dark at all. I think I do need a warmer sleep mat for this winter. I have the same Exped mat and get a cold back with it...
I like that observation. The colour change is always gradual as the seasons change, but looking back - it's like a different country! The Exped Synmat Ul 7's R rating was lacking somewhat, but Exped have more competitive offerings available now that are more in line with Thermarest's products 👍
I'm glad someone else appreciated them! The staff were always really clued up too, I found. It's good to know that your Rab bag is still going strong - hopefully mine will last just as long 💪 Thanks, James.
Enjoyed that mate. Good vid and great scenery too. The tent looks really good quality 👌. Love the design and how it clips to the ridge ! U must have knocked up some miles too. Take care ATB YMA
Thanks! The Southern Cross has surprised me on both nights, as I was expecting really bad condensation. On this trip I was very close to a river (on a flood plain), and the moisture in the air was already settling on the outside of the flysheet when I went to bed, with ambient temps around 2°C. Even so, condensation was more than manageable, but I have already taken to leaving the outer door partially open, and the inner door open at the top. It's hard to quantify it for you really, but it's no worse than my Hilleberg Soulo so far 👍
The only place in England where you are legally allowed to camp is (certain areas within) Dartmoor at the moment. Anywhere else, it's a case of being quiet, considerate, inconspicuous and tidy, and you're unlikely to meet any resistance. I've been on more than 50 camps and have never had an issue, and there's never any sign that I was even there. If a landowner does approach you and ask you to leave, you will need to leave without further question.
Awesome video, great hike and camp, good insight to the gear, location etc. Just subscribed and looking forward to many more videos

Good video. I love my Southern cross. So easy to pitch and will take a beating if needed. Stable too.
Thanks Pete. They are very satisfying to pitch!
Beautiful and peaceful natural scenery

The survival shops were really good I still have a Rab sleeping bag I bought from them… still good 👍

Love it James! More animals/nature and more footage of your surroundings would be amazing :)
Thanks! Noted 👌 I spotted red deer on two different occasions on this walk, but they're not easy to capture on a GoPro. Challenge accepted! 😁

Thanks Simon. External poles make pitching an absolute doddle! Thanks for the comment buddy.

Can you wildcamp on Exmoor ? Or did you have permission?
