She always tried with the posh voice, she slipped in and out of it throughout her time on the show but that was just Claire Sweeney just trying to come across as posh. I never did like her.
@@Savagery1 Of course Hollyoaks is made by the same company that made Brookside and both are Sir Phil Redmond creations so some of the storylines are bound to turn up in rehashed form in Hollyoaks.

When I think of Brookside and Terry Sullivan, I always picture him with the perm and the moustache. It’s always a bit strange seeing him with the new look.
@@tinkerbell8900 It’s usually shops or businesses that put up Christmas decorations as early as November. Maybe earlier, but who puts the decorations up in their homes in November?
I know this sounds like I’m a cynic, but do you reckon Mike is only interested in Rachel because he was into Beth but couldn’t have her? So he’s settling for second best. I reckon poor Lee Banks must be the loneliest character on the Close now. Leo Johnson doesn’t hang round with him anymore and Garry Salter’s brown bread, no wonder he’s hanging out alone in the petrol station.
Mike and Rachel found comfort in each other more than anything; Rachel being Beth's younger sister and Mike being a close friend of Beth's, they found comfort in each other *that* way. Rachel is nice, whereas Beth was a nasty piece of work - she was rude, snotty and horrible to everybody and used her issues as an excuse for that - she was vile to Peter Harrison, and she bullied her mother - she even hit her once - and treated Rachel like nothing more than some underling of hers. And when Julia said hello to her, she just ignored her - ignorant little snot! It's a wonder no-one ever smacked her 👊
She got addicted to the high of it, it' . And she wanted more, 100K is nice but not give up work money. Plus they got 50k as they had to share it with Bing.
It cost poor Mo £2850 pounds just for letting on to Sinbad👋🏻😃😬😂 🚗 Probably cost her more than she paid for her second hand metro🚘 Personally I think Bing was driving to fast in the first place.
Quick question is an episode missing or there is am continuity error in the show? Cus I've checked ep 1649 and lindsey doesn't appear at all yet in 1650 she shows up coming out of her bedroom in the corkhills???
So Peter is trans? 😮🤔 I guess you didn’t really talk about that in the '90s. Or is he kidding? And THINK ABOUT THIS: he married Lyndsay in 1998 and marriage between a trans person and someone the same sex at birth as them wasn't legal then; the law didn't change 'til 2014.
Personally speaking I think the beginning of the end was when Sinbad was hounded out of The Close, then Jackie Corkhill left closely followed by Mick Johnson.
Eddie Banks always looks so scruffy…even when he tries to look smart, he’s still scruffy….!
So true 😂
I love Bing 😂
Mike and Rachel do get married years later.
I had no idea Bev and Peter had an affair! Disappointed in Bev
It wasn’t an affair as such, more Peter being a letch and Bev not really being all that interested.
@@adrianpritchard7391 wrong she was interested but wanted to do right by Ron
I thought she only went for men nearing retirement 😂
Lindsey puts on a posh voice when being interviewed by David 'Bing' Crosbie for place at The Bungalow.

Jenny's defence lawyer sounds very smarmy.
Released from custody (Jenny) possession of a firearm and shooting a police man??? Her father giving a medical assessment in court???

If you think 50k isn’t that much. That would have been better used to pay off the mortgage.
Yep I thought the same
Like it when Peter says "I was actually born Petra Phelan,I had a sex change at 17. Bev then says"They didn't do a very good job on you."
Was he serious?
