It would be cool to have if you are planning to keep the console to complete the set. Gundam consoles are generally very collectable . **Didn't even see that it shows one on the back of the box. Must've originally come with this console . Anyways , they are available at a reasonable price from a US seller if this didn't come with one**

The Japanese take VERY GOOD CARE of their stuff which is appreciated (and should be the standard worldwide) I've never had anything arrive in less than MINT Condition from Japan (Games of all different Platforms, Art Books, Systems etc.)
You'll be surprised how much the Japanese devalue games and consoles if it doesn't come with everything or if the box/console is damaged or decolorizing.

Except for those older consoles that are difficult to get nowadays. I love these vids, they keep bringing some good memories back!
The reason i think its colored Gold is not because of Gundam but rather the mobile suit that is Hyaku Shiki (That is manned by the great Quattro Bajeena)

Here's a long and weird story to read: A few years ago in my area, there was a barber's shop that had a few consoles that sometimes the owner turns on whenever he expects the shop to get super crowded. One time, I donated a couple of games to his place (Mostly duplicates from my game hunting) and he wanted me to test them so he invited me over to their break area at the back of their shop. Inside, I noticed that he has that golden PS2 on display on his shelf. I asked him about it but all he could tell me is that it wasn't working and he got it at a thrift store in Japan for about $12. It was a real mystery to me as to whether or not it was custom made or a real product that got released until today. Thank you (and I guess the TH-cam algorithm?) for solving that mystery.

Anyway, if you wanna use that you can always get a FreeMcBoot card and a network adapter to run games off a hard drive or network share. Open PS2 Loader don't care about regions after all.
For what it’s worth, I’ve always had good experiences with shipping/packing from japan. Very few eBay sellers in the US even use bubble wrap inside a game case. I know you paid a lot but glad you got good quality from japan 👌🏻
Cool pickup!! As a collector myself I have to deduct points for not actually knowing what the package that you are collecting entails. Also did the eBay listing come with custom charges and rough estimate thinking of buying one myself
For the PS2, you can use FreeMcBoot and that will remove the region locking. Would hate for you to not play any US games on it because you spent quite a bit of money on this limited edition PS2.
if you have an iphone, if im not mistaken, there’s a feature on the camera app where if you focus it on a foreign language, it’ll automatically translate it. could be useful in the future if you ever come across more japanese games! i’m also pretty sure the google translate app has a camera feature which does the same thing.

It looks like that game is a Gundam game a gunman is a large mechanical exoskeleton with a human pilot in a cockpit and its chest most gundams are special for their frame called a psycho frame when the pilot is enraged the machine gets stronger and faster that's what made the Gundam special and I'm thinking the Gundam on that box is called Gundam triple zero that Gundam was known for excessive speed and attack capabilities and I'm thinking that stand was modeled after one of the buildings in the enemy

Yes it's a limited run gundam ps 2, specifically based off the color scheme of Hyaku Shiki which is a favorite amongst gundam fans.

Gundam vs Zeta Gundam, It did come out in the US but probably in limited quantities unlike the original Federation versus Zeon DX.
It's great to buy collectables in Japan. In general, tjey really take good care of their stuff and in most cases prices is reasonable.
It's a Zeta Gundam game and the console itself is based off the Hyaku-Shiki, piloted by Not-Char.
