Randall, I'm just discovering your channel and just followed you on IG. Let me start by saying, we need more grown folks who do this work to talk about gear and show us how it's used. You've done that in this video and with these photos. I'm a Fujifilm shooter. It's my sole digital ecosystem for street photography when I'm not shooting film on my rangefinders as well as for my professional work as a food photographer.
As far as I'm concerning ANY camera can be used for portraiture. All you need is an eye, steady hands, and a good lense. Ask Henri Cartier-Bresson, Gordan Parks, Vivian Maier, or Margaret Bourke-white. It's never the gear and always the eye and skill of the photographer.
Also, the video quality from where you're recording for these videos is stunning. What are your recordings with, camera body, lens, and lighting? The focus on you and the sharpness is spectacular. Mi hermano, keep shining.

    Welcome back...
Every time I'm in Adorama or B&H I find myself fondling the latest X-Pro and every time I end up sticking with my X-T's for the same reasons you mention. Don't get me wrong, I like a 'range finder' styled camera and would never give up my X-100S except to upgrade to a V now that I'm having intermittent shutter problems, but it's a different camera for a different purpose. I do wish the V had gotten, and the X-T4 retained, the older style tilting screen. It's a feature on my X-T2's that comes in handy for my corporate headshot work when in portrait orientation. I can put the camera on a tripod and look over it, talking to a client to get a good expression, while simply glancing down at the tilted screen to check composition.
If the X-H1 you have is still doing what you need, and you like the camera, I'd forego the X-T4 and wait to see if/when they come out with a version 2. It will likely have the tech upgrades of the X-T4 with the build of the original X-H1.

thanks , I do have it on preorder but I am not 100 percent decided .. , the xh1 does give me what I need , one issue i'm having with mine though is dead pixels.. not much an issue with stills but for video its not usable

Have recognized 50-140 mm lens. Please, are those photo examples taken with xpro3 with mounted 50-140?

Hi Randall, I use the xpro3 and agree with you on most of your opinions. If you dont mind, i was curious to know which lens you used for the portraits in this review? Definately looking forward to more videos of your thoughts on the xpro3 after you have more time with it.
    Kai
