Total wash nerd here. I rinse it with water then foam Canon, rinse, foam again then scrub, rinse, foam and final rinse.

I use Superior Products for washing, waxing, and polish.
My polish is Slick Finish. It lasts about 6 months
I also use Formula 4 for a drying agent on my motorhome.

Great tips! One thing I ran across was when you get to your destination or return home clean your front cap before you unhook from the tow vehicle. A 3 ft step ladder in the bed or on the tailgate will allow you to reach the top easier and safer. Also Turtle Wax wash and dry allows you to wax and dry while the surface is still wet and has lasting properties as well.
Manny of the campgrounds we have been to do not allow you to wash your truck or RV while at the camp. You can wet towel with a bucket but no hose washing is allowed. We end up washing when we get back to home base.

I use the NYC ammo wax he’s out of New York. His wife is a chemist best wax I’ve ever used and I agree with you on everything else. My trucks in 2016 it looks like show room and so does my RV. and that cordless pressure washer I love it I ordered one.

We have very similar tow vehicles. I think mine is a year older to start with, but I think I am probably twice as old as you are. I do not want to say how old I am, but suffice it to say that I was born in 1943. A big difference in our vehicles is that I told the dealer when I bought it that even though he wanted to sell me a diesel, I am not going to buy a diesel until DEF is a mature technology. Friend after friend has had DEF problems again and again with their diesels. So, even though our vehicles look very close to the same, they do not sound the same. I love the sound of a diesel pulling a heavy trailer up a long steep grade. I have intentionally stayed behind diesels pulling a grade just to listen to them. Enjoy your truck as I enjoy mine. Enjoy your RV as I enjoy mine. Enjoy your family!! I think my kids are about your ages and my grand kids are little older than your daughters. My wife passed away nine years ago from brain cancer. As I said, enjoy your family!!
Thanks for a GREAT video! I'm a detail freak myself, when it comes to my vehicles and travel trailer. I really enjoyed seeing the products you use. Many are the same items and brands that I use. Great minds think alike 🤣. I also like that you're rig is used, and you take care of it. I never buy new. Currently, I drive a 2008 GMC 2500HD 6.0L, 197,000 miles, and still strong. Purchased in 2011. My travel trailer is a 2018 Flagstaff ePro, also purchased used. Saved money, and make them what I want them to be. Again, thanks! Stay safe out there. I'll be tuned in.
Enjoyed this video and just subscribed. I share your passion for clean vehicles. My son is a big "Chemical Guy" fan, but I prefer Griots. Been using them for years and I wash car, truck and motorhome with a foam cannon. Three steps - wash and rinse; poly gloss and rinse; then dry. Water beads off until the next wash. Not sure about ceramics just yet. I'll look more into it.

Great info as always. The challenge we typically face is not being able to wash our rig our selves in RV park due to park rules. Not sure if this is a west coast thing but it is a problem at times
It is something we run into sometimes on the East coast as well. Many offer a water use permit now. And this is also why we usually try to find a good self service wash bay!

This is great to hear! Thank you ! Sorry the video was getting way long I’ll have to include a small segment on interior cleaning in another video. Get the rubber mats 😂 To start, do as much cleaning “dry” before you switch to wet (vacuum, Hp air, soft long bristled brush)

Speaking of not knowing what people do with brushes.... I saw a lady at a gas station using the windshield brush to clean dog poop out of the bed of her truck. She had three large dogs in the back and there was a lot of poop. 💩

Have you ever tried cleaning windshield glass with 4/0 steel wool dry? It works extremely well for a deep cleaned glass.

You got into a swarm of love bugs! Happened to us in Central Texas all over the cap of our fifth wheel and front of our 2015 white Chevy HD Duramax...and did they stink..hard to clean off also....especially on the top of the trailer front cap!

I know this is not your typical video, but it was great. Thanks for sharing your tips. So I’m 49 and my dad is 82, he’s had 3 trucks my whole life. I vaguely remember the one he had when I was little. He bought a 1979!Toyota truck when I was 5. Then in 1994/1995 he bought a Chevy truck that he still has.

Thanks for putting this video together. Lots of great product recommendations that just work. I ran a full service car wash 30 yrs ago, so familiar with the techniques but way out of date on what products to use. This helps a lot. TH-cam is chock full of promotions for boutique brands that overcharge and underdeliver. That compact pressure washer is amazing BTW. Yet another example of how things have improved over the years. I still have my gas powered Honda sprayer from decades ago that cost a fortune back then.

Anyway I just watched the latest episode about washing the truck and RV. I agree with you Corey on most of the things and products that you use. My only concern is using a “Clay bar” I don’t really like to use them because I look at them just like you do about making sure your mitts, rags, mop/brush are clean so they don’t have impurities in them because they can scratch your paint/clear coat/gel coat. I think that as you wipe/rub down your vehicle with a clay bar, they pick up dirt/grit and can scratch the paint. What do you think?
We try to not go to bed angry and remember that the morning starts a fresh new day

The KOA in Florida would not allow us to wash our rig without paying $ 20.00. Not happy about that.
Some of the resorts are getting very expensive. Water in FLorida even for residents is crazy. I think the campgrounds were having people use so much water that the bills were outrageous. $20+ is a bit much though.

I too had a car detailing service. I always recommend to never cross contaminate the rinse water and the wash/ soapy 💧!
I have both the black and blue as well. I have the 2 colors specifically to identify potable and non potable.

Most RV parks won't let you wash your rig. If it's raining when we pull in I'll wash the rig in the rain with free water.
This weekend in washing the rv, boat and 2 trucks. I'm using ceramic wash got the first time. Followed up with mcguires spray ceramic. Lots of work but I love it.
I keep my vehicles and 5th wheels for 15 years by doing exactly the kind of maintenance that you are talking about.

Great video on car maintenance. I'm obsessed (Like Cory) about keeping my vehicles clean and motorhome washed. Yes it takes a little longer but they look so good when I'm done and will last longer.
I really enjoyed this and I learned a lot. I would love to see an in-depth detailing video😊 (with details like how to get rid of paint transfer sigh). Again, thank you. I did learn a lot. I was one of those that went to car washes because as a disabled person, it is difficult to clean the car myself, but you have convinced me that it is worth the extended effort.
