Thanks for the video. My Grandfather lived in Lewiston and my Grandmother lived in Coeur d"Alene (both deceased many years). I only get to visit Idaho every decade or so. So was thrilled to see your channel and videos!
I hit a road gator a few years ago. It bit off a trailer line right at the maxi brake pot. Absolutely couldn't miss it. It was a big one. Slowed right down too. Congratulations on your quitting smoking. I quit 36 years ago this month. I didn't think I ever would because of all the hours and hours behind the wheel, but I did.
Hello Mike . This R95 has some nice farming country along it .Nice change fron the flat desert . Your truck seams to be running fine.Keep up the great videos . Stay Safe PEACE
If it wasn't for you truckers this country would stop running. I don't think people realize how important truckers are to our economy. Every store in America would be empty in weeks or less. Thanks for what you do. Sincerely Craig in Alabama.
Really cool vid. My dad started out driving a cab over in the 1960s he ended up driving for 25 years then I got my CDLs the last of his five kids and his last daughter LOL I wouldn't have traded it for anything absolutely love the route your on now. I'm from North Carolina. Had to stop driving to get a total left knee replacement then a year later had to get a total right hip replacement then I had to get three right rotary cuff repairs LOL nothing like trucking buddy. Wow this video sure brought back some good memories you be safe driver always put Jesus first. By the way really liked your Wolf Creek video 2. Man that was one horrendous crash. 🙏✝️🛐🙏
I have driven 56 years, car, truck, motorcycle, from east coast to west coast, north and south, knock on wood, haven’t hit any animals bigger than a squirrel.
I am from Puerto Rico and I am exploring the possibility of moving back to the US (lived there before) but I don’t want to move to intense hurricane prone areas nor to areas at risk of bad tornadoes or wildfires. Part of my research includes videos like this to see if the area is nice. And this video shows me Idaho could be a great option. Still a bit unsure because I have read it is getting very expensive.
You mentioned not knowing if you had been on this road before. If I was in your shoes I would have a decent size US highway map and highlight every road I traveled - maybe even color-code for good, bad & ugly.
Yep nice area Indian Rez . I prefer Lake Pend Oriel ( sp ) pronounced ponderay .Bayview Idaho off North hwy 95 ,,, google it .Lived there quite a while not to far from there now
YOUR SENSE OF FAMILIARITY WITH THIS ROUTE PROBABLY COMES FROM YOUR TRIP FROM SPOKANE, WA. TO LEWISTON, ID THROUGH THE REAL PALOUSE AND DOWN THE LEWISTON GRADE ... BUT ALL IN WASHINGTON STATE ... WWG1WGA!!
Also I am siting here watching u run up 12 and then down 95. Use to live in Orofino, Oro in Spanish means fine gold. Back to my original thought. Believe it or not, I imagined your daughter providing u with your Riding Shotgun Slogan. I also have a daughter, just saying. Have to ask, I do not see Swift Flatbeds on road now. Any idea? That used too be me.
Greeting Mike, here watching one of your classics. About those tree huggers, on utube I ran up on a movie called"Planet of the humans". Produced by Michael Moore. Talks about what the liberals are doing to get us off fossil fuels. The movie debunks any green energy ideas. Peace
Mike, you are missing the excitement in Oregon. The Democratic Governor has sent the state police after all the Republican legislators that are in hiding. The Democratic Legislature doesn’t have enough for a quorum to vote on their cap and trade climate change carbon tax bill without the Republican legislature being there. If it passes it will affect the cost of doing business in Oregon which could affect you.
Wow! That is some beautiful country. Thanks for the ride!

US-95 could be future I-11 in Nevada, southeastern Oregon, and Idaho. I-11 could connect from Phoenix Arizona to Las Vegas Nevada, via US-93.
Amazing nature!

Use to be called the goat trail years ago before the casino so many bad accidents .
51 deg Fahrenheit = 10.5 deg Celcius Mike your estimate was "right on", at 10 deg, perhaps 11.
At -40 Fahrenheit and Celsius are the same. To convert from one to the other add40 multiply or divide by 1.8 and subtract 40 done.
