You are my inspiration! I am a teen that has always wanted to have a 3d printer and so me and my cousin bought an A1 mini! we now want to start an Etsy shop and try to sell some stuff. thanks!! :)
Love to see how the channel grows I think most of us viewers like the simplicity of your content, also there's a big + of you just being yourself and not a clickbait. Keep up the work man! :)
Something that you might consider is, if you have a community college in your area, teach or talk to a class on entrepreneurship where you focus on the aspects of creating and running a business. Add to it the opportunity presented in a home 3d printing operation. Your videos are very well done in covering all of the things that you have had to do and consider in your business. It might also be an opportunity to talk to Etsy about the same for tutorials. The military services also have transition programs for service members that are leaving and retiring and they might like a bootstrap for an operation similar to what you have done.

Kudos on being able to bring a popular item back to the shop! You can tell how excited you are to be doing this, keep it up! 🍻 The finish on those is amazing. I'm grabbing a couple of those supertack plates with my next bambu order.
Loving the SuperTack plates as well! I did a pretty challenging print last night and was kind of blown away by it to be honest! Loving the videos and following along with your journey! Keep it up! Can’t wait to see where your shop is a year from now!
3:05 35C is actually correct for the coolplate you selected. you should select the 'bambu coolplate suptertac' option, and it will default to 45. you only get this option on the newest software version of bambustudio as far as i know
I left the comment about free shipping!👍 I'm slowly going to switch to these supertack plates as well since my textured plates are starting to loose their stickiness. I hope they last longer than the textured ones but only time will tell.
I had the same problem with the smooth and textured build plates -- the ghosted images of previous prints showed on my subsequent prints. I find this happens for me _mostly_ with the matte PLAs I use for my products. So, like you I grabbed these Supertack plates for that very reason. And for a while it was the solution I was looking for. Just recently I've noticed that ghosting happening with this build plates, too. Even after washing them. And as an extra note -- The Bambu site says to clean with warm water and soap. I did this as they suggest, and noticed that the Supertack plates not have a bit less stickability. Even had a print or two dislodge during printing since cleaning them. So be careful of that as well.
Your issue would also easily be solved by using some hair spray and a slightly higher z-offset. I had the same issue with my Creality printer, went through a PEI sheet every few months just doing hobbyist quantities of printing, but this solved my issue completely and I've now been using the same sheet for two years. It still looks brand new. The hair spray gives you just a tiny extra layer so that when you need to use a spatula to pop something off it doesn't immediately scratch the surface, and the higher z-offset makes it so the nozzle never touches the bed. You only need to wipe off the hair spray once the print is done, takes a few seconds a piece or you can set up a little tub with ~5mm of water in it to let it soak off. That supertack plate isn't going to last forever either.
We were fortunate to acquire five of these when they first launched, but I’ve been unable to secure more since-they seem to be in incredibly high demand. The plates are truly remarkable and have the potential to revolutionize 3D printing, pushing it beyond the hobbyist realm and into the mainstream. However, they do present a unique challenge. For delicate prints, I occasionally have to forgo using the plate entirely, as even with a layer of glue, some intricate parts can become nearly impossible to release without damage.
I kept missing it whenever it gets back in stock. And one time I managed to order it. But then I got an email that said my order was canceled and my money refunded.
Zwykłe szkło typu float (2mm- 4mm)daje doskonały efekt. Wydruk jest idealnie gładki. Trzeba je przymocować za pomocą klipsów. Jest bardzo tanie i nie rysuje się.
How fast did the old smooth plate degrade? I know some print farms plan for replacing plates, but presumably they have to last long enough to make it cost effective 😅
I got one of those beds in the mail. I can't wait to try it out. Have you tried the 3d effect print beds as well? I think the carbon fiber or the diamond pattern would look really good on those prints to have as an option!
From the video, it looks like you haven't updated your Bambu Studio in a while. Now, there is a build plate option for the Supertack build plate in newer versions. I use that and have never had issues. The only issue I have now is not checking the build plate before I print and printing on the textured build plate when it is sliced for the supertack plate.
Really enjoying the raw style of videos providing an update. Hoping Santa got my message and delivers me one of those new build plates! What were the circle things in the background? They look like bottle holders? I'd also be interested in learning more about your process for editing your videos - and the tech you're using for video/audio.
I so wish somebody would cut a glass plate for these printers. I have been printing at least 10 years or more now and to date nothing compares to glass and aquanet for pla ;o). Any material you need to print doesn't matter. Just make sure to use purple glue stick for PETG especially as well as PC and nylon. PETG will pull chunks of glass if you don't have enough interface material (glue stick) lol.
These videos have become part of my morning ritual. Coffee, toast and now 3D printing. One quick question your coffee scoop looks great, but how do you prevent someone who may have designed a similar product from saying you’re using their design? Keep up the great work!
I run three A1 mini's as well and I have the same concern with the fragility of smooth pei sheet. The surface is not nearly as durable as Prusa's smooth pei sheet. The standard textured sheet doesn't have as good adhesion for pla then the smooth sheet does. These new sheets seam like they are a lot more durable and perhaps have better have better adhesion. I've actually seen the opposite with shipping pricing. I have had more success by not including shipping in the unit price. I set it to a flat $5.50 and have a lower price overall. Just what I've experienced over the years.
I used to order PLA black matte from Bambu Lab until I got complaints with the brittleness. Sure enough my prints would break apart easily. I changed to ESun PLA Black for the moment, gets almost the same finish but much stronger. Highly recommend you test the products that you're printing with it to make sure they're not brittle.
a trick to fixing the ghosting on prints, draw on the face of the print with a permanent parker, then spray isopropyl alcohol on it and wipe clean with a paper towel.
These are great but HUGE scratch on my P1S.during the nozzle.cleaning phase. You know, its last attempt where it goes to the front corner like its homing, then raises the playe and is supposed to be right above the plate? Well on these, it isn't. It will pit a huge scratch across the engire plate to the center back. Im finally doing the Ai mini nozzle cleaner mod because of this. What makes it more frustrating is Im using a REVO hotend with official high flow nozzle. Their PEI like ones(glacier) are great also, no tecture bit sticks better than Bambu stock PEI playes and I like the fact that the yandle doesn't get over 50C even when the build plate is 100 degrees. It also supports all filements
Your video showed up as a suggestion from TH-cam while watching it on my TV. And I'm probably going to buy this Bambu plate, because it looks fantastic. But if I may say... you have not explained what is the thing you print that is round that you hang on the wall! And throughout the video, I was wondering what is this thing for, which is a little bit of a shame as this would probably help selling it.
