Fabulous Tiffany! That's a new pattern company for me. I adore Sew Frugal every year. It's what inspired me to start sewing again since decades ago sewing for my little girl when she was little :). Now I have downloaded some patterns that I think my granddaughter may want to try. xx Karen

Hi Tiffany, what a great selection of free patterns for adults and little ones 🙌🏻🙌🏻. If I have time, I will try to participate of #Sewfrugal24. I am traveling (visiting my mother in Brazil), and by the time I’m back home it will be the end of the month 😆. Love seeing you in the TH-camr lineup! Also, that fabric looks so pretty on you 😊. I need to sew that Dakota dolman up again but I’m going to try a galena for my little one. That neckband binding seems a bit tricky..😅

Oh I’d love to see your version of the Galena, it’s such a great pattern! I’m hoping to get a video out soon walking through my process for attaching a neckband. I know those can be very intimidating and it took me so long to figure out how to do it. I hope that video will be useful to others 🥰

Thanks for these Tiffany. Some great patterns. I’ve printed out the Dakota dress in 2 sizes but I’m not sure which size to go with. 🤗Does this pattern run small or large? My niece is 2 (and a small 2 year old) and I’m not used to making children’s clothes so I’m undecided. What size would you advise, please? The fabric is a soft stretch jersey. Thanks for your help.
Hello, Jan! Thank you so much for watching! Aw, so glad you’re going to give the Dakota Dolman a try. I would say this pattern runs try to size. If you’re able to take your niece’s measurements those will help you find the exact size but I would say she fits in the 2T size, especially if she’s on the smaller side. So far all of Addys have fit true to size except for the length, I have graded out to longer lengths for her as she is quite tall for her age. Can’t wait to hear about your versions, Jan! Where do you print your patterns? Have you heard Joann fabric has filed bankruptcy?

That’s a great question about printing, Gail! I usually just print on my personal printer at home and tape the letter sized papers together. I have used The Blue Cup Shop on Etsy to print large A0 files. She has a wonderful shop with great customer service. I couldn’t justify the cost of A0 printing, though, as well as the fact that I’m not a patient person, haha! I didn’t like waiting to receive my patterns in the mail! 🙈
I did hear about Joann’s financial struggles! Yikes! 😳 It’s definitely sad to think we might be losing them. I’m not sure how true the rumors are and I think Ch. 11 means they’ll still be mostly functioning as normal just not buying new fabrics as they’ll have to be paying their fabric sources cash. In the case of Ch.11, they would likely be closing a select number of stores as well, so I am trying to use up my giftcards as quickly as I can so that I don’t lose my money. I think it’ll be a devastating loss for the sewing community, for sure, especially those $1.99 sales. I (obviously 😂🙈) could talk about it for paragraphs and paragraphs. As of right now, I won’t be bringing up the topic in a video though because I don’t want to cause panic when I haven’t seen anything concrete to pass along, it’s all rumors as far as I can tell.
