Thank you for this video Ms Byrd, which is as always, well researched and nicely exposed. It is refreshing, in these particular times, to see women having interests in men’s realm and contemporary reality. Thank you for that and your excellent work. Like many, I have seen and felt, the dichotomy between most adult men, raised with values entrenched in the past century, and further back, against the recent years of misguided feminism and unchecked capitalism, resulting in the gender debacle unfolding nowadays. As sadly shown by most metrics, may it be natality rates, divorce rate, loneliness, etc. The sense of having lost the simple common sense and natural tools to share interactions, and lives, between women and men, in such a short time, is baffling to me. Well, in the Western world mostly at least. Which is probably saying more about the culture I belong to than I’d like to admit. Poor Marguerite Duras she must be spinning in her grave. Thank you for your work. Cheers
Very interesting, I think the archetypes I most closely aligned with as a child was a precocious dreamer, as an adult the magician lover. Never was well balanced, but am content and well liked
Amazing video! I love Jungian psychology and archetypes. I definitely resonate with the magician, I'm a robotic welding technician. A lot of my job has warrior like aspects, enjoying the labor, getting dirty, working fast, hard and with skill. But it also takes a mix of knowledge and intuition. I also often find myself giving my friends life advice. I see all the archetypes in myself though. I'm a very loving father and husband, I love weight lifting and work.
This is great content, I kind of wish I could have a copy of the essay (or whatever it may be called lol) you wrote for this video as it is so informative. Again, great content, thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
Thank you Erin. Keep making this content. The one you made about archetypes of women was so insightful as it helped me to see women in a different light.
I have really strong intuition, creativity, intellect and intensive emotions. The description of an undisciplined/chaotic lover felt fairly applicable to me. I also love fighting (mutually agreed upon fighting like sparring, not malice, in real life I actually prefer to keep the peace/dislike being combative/bad blood) and physical challenges, I resonate with intensely warrior-like characters in fiction too. I think it's part of that intensity and being intense in all aspects. I think I need to work on my discipline and self control of negative emotions the most.
Miss, I am a student and I just had to say I love your content. It is so very well thought out and you are an extremely good speaker. Peace and love to you.
I'm looking forward to watching the next part of it. I'm in love with this channel. Thank you Erin for your effort to bring these so important subjects.
yeah - look at divorces and how men are treated. what are warriors fighting for? they realised that's not much to fight for in the modern age and most have walked away
masculine men take accountability. if you got divorced 1) you failed to pick a good life partner or 2) you failed to maintain the relationship. both of these are the key elements in your control. effeminate men shake their fists from the sidelines and opt-out of the game. they're either unable to attract a high caliber mate, or unable to keep them.
12:38 Someday. My world is all that I have, but someday I could share it with someone, maybe when I grow up some. It's either that, or I become a headcase!
Wait for me I am looking for you Jewel, angel, friend I look for you when I get out of bed I look for you in my coffee I look for you when I walk in the morning sun And all through the day For as long as today is And until tomorrow comes But I can’t find you - I can’t find you I am not smart enough Strong enough Fast enough Or may be I am just not good enough I am not a magician I am not a soldier, a strong man or a hero I am not rich I am not young or pretty, I am not famous But I feel you in every snow flakes I see you in every colours And in all that is pure and beautiful And I know I will have found you- Not in my coffee Or in the morning sun I know I will have found you When in your eyes I can see me I know I will have found you When I can wish upon a fairy To one day die in your arms And be reborn To go on looking for you again Wait for me
By knowing and embodying these archetypes, men can achieve a fuller understanding of themselves and live in a way that aligns with their true values and purpose.
Very educational. And very fair in your analysis. I have often observed with same sex couples a feminine and masculine . What's interesting is gay men who look very masculine but are in fact very feminine in nature. Or heterosexual men who are feminine and usually are left wing. The arty type. Great video
Great video! I think splitting this into 4 chapters would make it more convenient to watch and youtube algorithm friendly as well. I bet you would’ve literally made x10 more views and spread your observations and ideas better
I have been in each. I wont go into each role. Approaching this video, I thought, yup. Im the Warrior. Always been a do-er, etc. Was suprised how the King role resonated so much. Obvious about the Warrior one resonating, but even the Magician. I have had careers in each, as a leader in the military, intel in couter drug ops, and even teaching at a university, with patents, discoveries etc. The lover...maybe, in how I try to preserve cars, tools, and see the work that was put into them. Though, this was the least resonant. I wonder how many of you guys felt the same. Going in with one thought, and see how much you identify with each role. Time goes by quick and we mature fast...particularly in hard times. As far as hyper extending. Yup...Warrior, sadistic side. Wont go into that, but its there...Definitely will be getting this book
To anyone whose struggling in todays world, historically speaking, this is 100% normal and it will end soon. Its a common pattern where we are all divided and fighting. We will either fight each other or we will all unite to fight an external issue (Example: World war 2 united the Americans who were even more radical than we are now). If history is correct for the 12th time now, we are projected to be in a sort of golden age around the 2030's. My point is to hang in there. I would do LITERALLY anything for a wife & children and it kills me that it seems like I'll never get there. I'm at least going to hold on for a bit longer because it gives me hope. Long story short, bad times create good people. Good people fight for a good life.
I identify with the magician, the warrior and the lover in that order as a 27 year old man. I really couldn’t find any king (in its either extremes too) because I don’t feel like I have people around me that I would desire to rule. I also admit I have a tendency towards the sadist but I’m trying to temper that with the lover. So as A Warrior: Trying to improve myself constantly in discipline A Magician: Trying to learn more ans reach the intellectual peak A Lover: To do these for the benefit of humankind (at least in theory)
The word "Shakti" is a synonym for Force. Also, Shakti is the name of the Goddess and your description is pretty accurate. Shiva, however, along with all the things you described, is a symbol of patience. Because, he is one of the few Gods, who is typically shown in a meditation position (which is the best) With a third eye on his forehead and a cobra curled around his neck. Shiva is also the part of Hinduism's holy trinity: Shiva the destroyer. His 3rd eye is supposed to have destructive powers like Superman's laser vision. But, I think Shiva's identity as a "destroyers" is highly misunderstood. According certain reads. Shiva represents the duality of man, Shiva has done is Shadow work. And Shiva is aware that if we are unhappy then we spread unhappiness around (which is destructive), therefore we need to look inside of us (much like Buddha, but he was a monk, Shiva represents everyday man)... Meditation is the key to look inside, and realise that the world isn't good or bad, it is our response to it that makes us perceive that way. The world is indifferent. Therefore we must learn to be equanimous. The snake around his neck tells us that, he is fearless, and calm, even at the face of death. Shiva is a warrior. Because it is better to be a warrior in a garden than to be a gardener in a war. And, the 3rd eye is actually, the eye of wisdom, like someone really seeing beyond.

Easier said than done, you bet. But coming out of our struggles stronger, is mostly up to us, to our heart and mind. We all got work to do. Never despair. I wish you the best, friend.
Hello Erin, thank you for your work on your channel
@@BoostedPastime You are welcome!
I love Robert Moore’s lectures (many recordings available on TH-cam) and the “King Warrior Magician Lover” book with Douglas Gillette is amazing
I’m glad to have found this video! Thank you for making and posting this; I believe knowledge is power and I’m always looking to improve where I can
This is excellent insight, and makes sense, born from an age where philosophers and thinkers had time to deconstruct male psychology, which appears to be ever more pertinent today and hence every man watching this can resonate with. Will be seeking out part 2. You certainly have your calling Erin.
Super analysis. Forgot to sub when I watched the matriarchy video a while back. Hit the notification bell now!
I don't know if I believe in archetypes, but I love your presentations. You pick such interesting topics. Looking forward to Part II.
The 4 archetypes
Gym bros

You off yourself
Career man
Dont forget, getting kicked out/leaving the workforce archytype
@@CyberPunkBadGuy homelessmaxxing
@@CyberPunkBadGuy thats BBQ with a beer guy. Gym bros either have a job or a sugar momma, and theres not that many sugar mommas trust me I looked

It's so painful to think about, my suffocating mother and my weak disengaged father, i was constantly implicitly encouraged to be a weak boy and conditioned to believe weakness and victimhood were evidence of supreme and special value
@@iansmith8783 Can't that be a past version of yourself? In my next video, I want to talk about how a man can reach his full potential by accessing the other archetypes to achieve balance in their lives. I am sorry that happened to you.
@@erinbyrd5377 wow, thank you i really appreciate that. It's very meaningful for me to hear that coming from someone who understands the mechanism of how and why this happens to young boys. Your videos bring a lot of clarity and understanding.
@@erinbyrd5377 to think of the boys who are suffering this process on a personal and society-wide scale, is what pains me and encourages me to take greater heed of myself and others
I'd highly encourage you to look into the work of Michael Tsarion, especially his focus on the Dragon Mother and Adultism. You're definitely not alone in what you've experienced.
Thanks for all your work telling it like it is for both genders, and dispelling a lot of myths that abound.
You're an A+ quality lady, for sure.
I cant personally relate to any of these, but its remarkable because for each archetype I can think of a man I look up to that embodies it. Great video
Then what are you
Thanky you so very much for the effort. I wish you further success, health and happiness!
I have this book on my nightstand right now. Its really cool to see how these things are kind of written out.

This video is really good. I feel like you did an amazing job and described every male that has been and will come. I didn't know this kind of knowledge existed and we have been that analyzed before.
Thank you! This was an awesome video. Looking forward to part two!!
This video was very informative and very well explained in detail, the whole idea of these different categories of masculine architypes is new to me and i think you just made it so interesting. Thank you!
Keep doing what you do, Ms. Boyd. If you haven't, I really think incorporating biblical themes and topics into these videos regarding masculine and feminine aspects of life would benefit your channel, and the people who enjoy your content
Thank you!
The unabashed, deadpan, matter-of-fact shade thrown at the life coaches around 26:16 oh LAWD. I'm glad I stuck around for the whole video
This was such a good video thank you for posting. I really enjoyed it!
Love your channel Erin.
This is very insightful, and I can see a lot of myself in all these.
Your channel is a hidden gem!
I always enjoy your content, I’m constantly learning new things about myself and others that make more sense now. Can’t wait for the next video!
Thank you for this, my baseline is the lover archetype and the way you gave clarity to my experience is so relieving. Gives me hope and inspiration that I can develop the other axis of my masculine being the magician and the warrior
@@devinphat9510 I have read a lot of red-pill books and I do plan on making a video talking about the redpill. Are you saying that you no longer feel safe around women? Like, emotionally safe? Do you feel too vulnerable? Has this taken a toll on your ability to form personal relationships? Sorry for all the questions but I like to learn. I think for you, start with the Warrior. That's what
will get you through the dark times. Warrior development for a lover type will turn you into a tank that is no longer vulnerable.
@@erinbyrd5377 Yeah all safety and trust is stripped away, emotionality, financially, and physically sexually which manifests as a phobia of STD's because of the hedonism in our cultures.
There's also a intense desire for sexual interaction, so you can imagine a constant cycle of psychologic dissonance and pain, hopefully it can feed into my warrior and things well be better on the other side.

You are basically talking about DISC. Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. It's our four types of personality and we can only have 1 of these, but a few features of the other ones. Dominance and Influence are extroverts Steadiness and Conscientiousness are the introvert ones.
Dominance - Red
Influence - Yellow
Steadiness - Green
Conscientiousness - Blue
I am of the Conscientiousness profile, introvert.
Cheers
@@goergeskaplan It's baffling to me too.

Very interesting, I think the archetypes I most closely aligned with as a child was a precocious dreamer, as an adult the magician lover. Never was well balanced, but am content and well liked

Enjoyed this video, great ideas to reflect on.
Damn, I might be doing better then I thought I was. Looking forward to the next video. :)
She is back!
@@johnq4061 You're definitely on the warrior/lover axis. Great job

Excellent work, looking forward to seeing the next video!
This was great
Enjoyed the video, thanks!
Great book. Read it several times! It's a must read for every woman who desires to be in my life!

The most underrated video I’ve seen in a long time.
Wait for me
I am looking for you
Jewel, angel, friend
I look for you when I get out of bed
I look for you in my coffee
I look for you when I walk in the morning sun
And all through the day
For as long as today is
And until tomorrow comes
But I can’t find you - I can’t find you
I am not smart enough
Strong enough
Fast enough
Or may be I am just not good enough
I am not a magician
I am not a soldier, a strong man or a hero
I am not rich
I am not young or pretty, I am not famous
But I feel you in every snow flakes
I see you in every colours
And in all that is pure and beautiful
And I know I will have found you-
Not in my coffee
Or in the morning sun
I know I will have found you
When in your eyes I can see me
I know I will have found you
When I can wish upon a fairy
To one day die in your arms
And be reborn
To go on looking for you again
Wait for me

By knowing and embodying these archetypes, men can achieve a fuller understanding of themselves and live in a way that aligns with their true values and purpose.
Very educational. And very fair in your analysis. I have often observed with same sex couples a feminine and masculine . What's interesting is gay men who look very masculine but are in fact very feminine in nature. Or heterosexual men who are feminine and usually are left wing. The arty type. Great video
Great video! Huge W learning
Erin, you would probably enjoy checking out what Kabbalah says about male and female attributes of the soul and the ideal balancing of them.
Wont go into that, but its there...Definitely will be getting this book
women are queens?
yes IF and only if she
honors her man
as her KING
So as
A Warrior: Trying to improve myself constantly in discipline
A Magician: Trying to learn more ans reach the intellectual peak
A Lover: To do these for the benefit of humankind (at least in theory)
King comes with age.
You’re a very talented writer
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
