I mean, you witnessed it, their music is so... God, no mundane word is enough to describe such magnificent otherworldly realm that they've created through their Music!!! Although I do have a reeaally soft spot for my powerful sorceress metal goddess Tarja, their first lead singer from 1996 to 2005😍😆 ahaha. Btw, I believe dear Gabriel has already come to your channel and given you the brief history and lore of the band, so I'll just skip that part >.< Well, I don't know if you're taking suggestions from the comment sections but, I hope so for I have plenty lol, I also hope you're willing to take this fantastic journey through all of their music (I believe anyone starting to know their work should give a listen to them in all eras, including their origins with Tarja Turunen and their middle era with Anette Olzon, so you can have a full insight of their history, lore, evolution and Art). So if that's alright I'd like to drop down here a list with my suggestions by them in Tarja's era (their first), since from what I've seen (I'm new around here though lol) you reacted more often to NW with amazing Floor (with songs that I generally recommend from her era), and I'm more of an "old school Nightwisher" (although I absolutely LOVE them in all eras!🤘💘), plus I'd like to not make this comment any longer that it will already be lol. Afterwards I'll be also suggesting songs from Tarja's long, stunning solo career; her work is different from anything you've seen and I love it, creative and overall mindblowing, plus she's constantly growing as an artist, it's just inspiring, and only through her solo career you get to know her artistry deeper! Now before we continue, I'd only like to add that I enjoy NW's music from all eras with all three lead singers they had because they're an incredible band, and although I'm a huge Tarja fan (or Tarjaholic, as some would call us ahaha) - and think she's very unique and brought NW to a whole new level combining her stunning dark, absolutely beautiful and powerful operatic vocals (which timbre I must say is rare and uncommon even into the classical music universe) with Tuomas' genius -, I love, respect, support and appreciate all singers who sang with them as the equally great, amazingly talented artists they undoubtedly are in their own different ways and rights (that's a fact only the blind don't see, all else is just a matter of personal taste and preference imo), for each of them brought special, individual and unique elements to the band that helped them grow, mature and develop their artistic identity. As a fan, I strongly believe we are blessed to have witnessed three amazing talented ladies fronting NW and should just enjoy the gift they deliver us with their timeless Art, and I think we should be grateful and feel honored for that, regardless of our personal preferences. That being said, without further ado, back to NW in Tarja's era (I tried to make a selection as short as I could, really difficult to choose from their vast, outstanding repertoire ahaha, but there's so much more to explore as you go): 1. th-cam.com/video/YODCM26JXOY/w-d-xo.html . "Ghost Love Score", performed in the iconic "End of an Era" show in 2005 (the last time ever the band and Tarja performed together, plus a curious fact: Tarja was very sick with severe throat infection during this concert. So if this is not the best she can do, just you imagine how damn incredible she is at her best!😍Remember this everytime you do a reaction to this concert ahaha). The song is from their album "Once". One of their greatest masterpieces of all times! Floor also sings this one differently but beautifully🖤 (you already reacted to her version) and I love both, but I personally love the way Tarja sings it, I feel like she deeply understands the crucial importance of the instrumentals (especially the epic orchestral arrangement and choir), and the unspoken soul of the song, so she doesn't sing it like it was all about her voice and it's clearly intentional; if you listen closely sometimes she even seems to use her voice like an instrument, often blending her sound at the end of some phrases with the orchestra's (which in Floor's version was made lower probably to match her style better), becoming one living soul with the music. I'd love to see you reacting to her solo stuff too (she's been doing a beautiful work and is on the road for a long time now, since 2006), because since she started her solo career she's finally free to be fully herself, you know, without the "shackles"... and definitely is much happier, ever growing and maturing vocally and artistically through the years; she is simply a fantastic, hard working, super talented and phenomenal artist (who's sometimes even a bit underrated by some unfortunately), a remarkably beautiful soul too! She's such an amazing artist, so creative and expressive, she can play the piano, and became a noteworthy songwriter/composer as well, and I love her stage presence and energy too (she owns the stage and is so much more energetic now). Therefore imo, one cannot hope to truly know Tarja as an artist without diving into her stunning solo work. I love her, she's such an inspiration to me, her voice and renditions give me deep, spiritually magical Eargasms💘A-hem... Sorry about that😜. Anyway, her solo musical rock/metal style (apart from her classical music and xtmas concerts, and other "out of the box" side projects of hers) is very unique and not easily defined, though it still has plenty of the symphonic metal elements as guidelines such as some kinds of guitar riffs, epic orchestral arrangements and her remarkably dark, powerful operatic vocals (though now she mixes a bit her classical singing tecnique with a few more "contemporary" sounds and her chest voice in a very singular way). Her solo work is much more versatile imo, she incorporates aspects of different stilistic elements, and is always experimenting new things in her music without any fear of exploring the unusual, so you never really know what to expect or what she'll do next, AND I find it magnificent!!! Plus I love the fact that she just walked her own path and found her "artist self", never trying to recreate her old days with NW, and I absolutely LOVE the results of her choices, I hope you like it too. This song perfectly shows floors range from the beginning, beautiful softness to the ending key change and intense, powerful belting!!! Which is why since discovering Nightwish with floor almost 5 years ago, that she has become my favorite vocalist ever!!!
For a well-rounded picture of Floor, you should check out some of her solo stuff. "Me Without You," "Fire," or straight-up opera ("O Mio Babino Caro") are a different flavor than Nightwish, but you can't put this lady in a box.

This song perfectly shows floors range from the beginning, beautiful softness to the ending key change and intense, powerful belting!!! Which is why since discovering Nightwish with floor almost 5 years ago, that she has become my favorite vocalist ever!!!

For a well-rounded picture of Floor, you should check out some of her solo stuff. "Me Without You," "Fire," or straight-up opera ("O Mio Babino Caro") are a different flavor than Nightwish, but you can't put this lady in a box.
