Once you've had a SBT no other breed of dog will do. Such amazing dogs. When my first SBT passed I was heartbroken. Every time a came home, opened the front door and there was silence my heart would break again. Not hearing Kofi running down the hallway to greet me hurt so much. But not being ready to get another dog of my own I looked into fostering. I was lucky to find a SBT rescue very near to me. Five years later I've fostered 13 SBT's and become part of the rescue. I've loved every dog I fostered but when numbers 12 & 13 came along I completely fell head over heels and adopted them both. A lovely mother and daughter rescued from a house fire. Now I now do home checks, dog assessments, drive dogs about and work in the rescue's charity shop. Although we sometimes work with some terrible abuse cases seeing the dogs getting getting adopted into their forever homes makes it all worthwhile. I've gotten so much out of it and made some amazing friends. I would highly recommend volunteering at an animal rescue to anyone. You will get as much out of it as the dogs do. If you can't volunteer please consider a rescue dog as your next dog. There are so many great dogs needing a loving home.
I was lucky enough to grow up with a SBT, such an amazing breed of dog. Losing her after 12 years last year was unbearable, completely get you with the silence. Still feels too soon to get another, but I know I’ll always have to get a Staffie! So much for respect for what you’ve done, giving such loving dogs a happy forever home :)
Thats great to hear would love to volunteer but no time 2 young kids, but do donate monthly which have done for over 10 year. lost my staffy last year 13 years old nasal tumour so he was struggling to breath in end and they couldnt operate couldnt watch him suffer broke my heart. We went through so much together my 1st dog of my own when left home. Great when my kids born actually calmed down more, very gentle with them yet so powerful when not playing with them like tugg of war he,d go hard with me yet kids wouldnt pull. Miss him so much but couldnt have another staffy yet as thought it would be unfair as feel id always compair and know dog could compete. I will have one again someday as there the best dogs in the world. Its the tail that never stops wagging and massive smile i miss still gutted now chokes me up.
My absolute favourite breed! We first got one when our children were small. He was a perfect playmate and guardian for them very gentle and loving with them, but fearless in their defence, when needed. Bullies didn't dare to trouble them. I have never been without one in all the many, many years since. I am now in my 70s. Incidentally, we have also always had companion rescue dogs of every size and type and our Staffies have enjoyed looking after them, too!
I can't live without a STAFFY, my life and my childrens life revolve around fur babies in particular our STAFFIES. I could run a feature film on all the antics humour and mischief those little pocket rocket, heart breakers bring to our lives.
The best breed of dog ever. Like a dog and a half. I’ve always owned pit bulls (back in the day) and Staffords, my 3 dogs passsed away recently after a long life together. Now I just collected my new staffy puppy 9 weeks old. Very excited to train another dog to be the best they can be.
We had a Pure bred Staffy - his Father was a Grand Champion 2 yrs running. He worshiped my 2yr old Son - he was the happiest Dog - he slept with my Son at night. Fabulous with children - he was never off the Leash he hated other Dogs !!! Very intelligent & loved a million hugs & kisses a day….
I’ve got two and if I had the room I’d have twenty two. Two completely different characters but the one trait they both share is that they are completely loving wee dogs. Brilliant to see them being shown like this.
My father had a Staff , fabulous dog they were together 24-7 unfortunately she passed 3 years ago , my father is 96 now , he does miss her but he knows he’s to old to for another dog which is unfortunate.
I've had lots of different dogs over the years but one day i found a stray staffy took him home and fell in love with the most intelligent lovable friend I've ever had he passed away a couple of years broken 💔 couldn't live with the lonely empty feeling so I gave a loving home to a new staffy and he help me to enjoy life again he's a cracking dog so smart

I Own a staffie named maya she's the most loving sweet girl she greets me every morning with her teddy and her tail.never stops wagging kathleen cannock
To think that these dogs were the ancestors of the mighty and formidable American Pit Bull Terrier, and now they are known for stealing veggies and fruits - oooH SHUKS!!!
@@MackerelCat For sure - no blood sports - but surely the dogs prefer meats and meaty things - I don't think it's kind to raise them on veggies and fruits, mostly.
and now we just let them all "play" together, yay. but seriously, whats their skills here to show: running over barres in a circle? presented by two ladies in their best age which could hardly handle one of those staffies. and on the other side of the world or maybe not that far people are killing each other for no reason whatsoever. oh such a great world we humans created.

Only in Israel they considered DANGEROUS breed, well maybe not only in Israel.
Now that's what you call dogs 😍😍😍🤗😇🤗😇 not these "handbag" dogs
Greates dog breed ever
To think that these dogs were the ancestors of the mighty and formidable American Pit Bull Terrier, and now they are known for stealing veggies and fruits - oooH SHUKS!!!
That’s good thought right? Since now we mostly want dogs for snuggling and not bull baiting and dog fighting.
@@MackerelCat For sure - no blood sports - but surely the dogs prefer meats and meaty things - I don't think it's kind to raise them on veggies and fruits, mostly.
Too short, too fat. Need to bring them back to how bull and terriers should really look.
Go get an amstaff then and leave the sbt alone
I agree
Is this the organisation that allows inbreeding etc?
