    Looks so smart yet cute especially with the lining I don't know how you manage to work with the long sleeves I'd have too push them up or remove them but each to there own when I sew I'm usually in my cropped leggings or cycling shorts and a bra top or fitted T shirt so nothing gets in the way

      I believe you can do it! If the first time doesn’t work out, use it as a learning experience and try again. There’s so much merit in putting time in to something in order to figure it out 💕

    This tutorial is so great! I do have a question with the measurements for the ties. For the back overlap tie it’s my waist measurement minus 10 inches and then add 20?

    • @EmmaCraine
      @EmmaCraine  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, exactly. Minus 10" since the overlap is 10" and it only need to reach from the outside of one overlap to the next, then add 20" or more depending on how much length you want to tie into a bow

    Im a beginner & have a question on the waist that was not clear. If the waist measures 29 inches + .25 for ease, wont that make the waist too small when you take in the darts by about 1.5 to 2 inches?

    Hi! Could you explain to me how you chose the measurements for D-H and H-I? No videos explain how you choose them? Is it a universal amount to get the right curve?

    • @NurseJoyIRL
      @NurseJoyIRL 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am pretty sure that those are just some standard measurements used to help create the upward curve in the waistline. They have nothing to do with your body measurements or anything.

    Hi this tutorial was great. I'm a beginner and I don't dont know what type of fabric is used for lining. What type of fabric did you use for the lining?

    • @EmmaCraine
      @EmmaCraine  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really any type of fabric, as long it is the same thickness (aka fabric weight which is usually measured in gsm) or less!

  • @nishitagupta1441
    @nishitagupta1441 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi what if we don't have a lining , do we directly attach the waistband??

  • @timat2233
    @timat2233 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Im curious, after tying the end of the darts, how do you hide the thread? Is it safe to cut it short ? Wont it come undone?

    • @EmmaCraine
      @EmmaCraine  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      After tying the knot, you can safely cut the threads down to about 1/8” but if you want to be super sure, then double knotting is the way to go 🙂

  • @LarryWare-g3p
    @LarryWare-g3p หลายเดือนก่อน

    You used a term i only guessed at. What does "ease" mean? I.e. .25" with ease.

  • @xxkk2835

    i got lost at the part where we’re pinning the fabric pieces together, could anyone help explain 🥺

    • @xxkk2835
      @xxkk2835 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      am I meant to pin one of the straight edges of the smallest panel to the curved edge of the front left panel?

    • @EmmaCraine
      @EmmaCraine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@xxkk2835 Hi! The curved edges would be the side seams where your hips are. So there are two curved edges on either side of the back piece, and one curved edge on each front piece. Basically all you need to do is match the curved edge on one side of the back piece to the curved edge of one of the front pieces. Then repeat that for the other curved edge of the back piece and the remaining font piece --- hope that helps!
