Just made this skirt. Thank you for the video! This was the first time I sewed an item of clothing for myself since I was 12. It was really easy to follow and I love the little flair at the bottom. I ended up cutting off the ribbons and putting on a button and inside snap. I just wasn't a fan of the ribbon I used. I stopped on your video because my grandmother's name is also Anastasia. She taught me how to sew when I was a kid and she used to make her own clothing :)
Awww you had a sewing grandmother named Anastasia!!! How cool!!!!!!! I’m so happy you enjoyed making the skirt. I’d love to see pics if you want to email them to me or tag me on Instagram 🎀
Thank you for sharing! This is exactly what I've been looking for! The perfect flare, plus a wrap for my ever fluctuating weight. This definitely looks achievable for someone who hasn't done any sewing since high school 🥰 If I wanted a slightly higher waist, would I need to cut a longer skirt?
Does anyone know, is the first cut, the one where it says (cut 2) supposed to be mirrored? So that you have a left front and a right front? No instructions, and the video is not clear. Thanks.
There are no written instructions. There are video instructions. If you need help with sewing instructions let me know but it is all here in the video. The ribbon chart is on the website where you ordered the pattern. 1/2 to 1” wide ribbon required: Cut 1 at 18” Cut 2 at XS: 41" S: 42" M: 43" L: 44" XL: 45.5" 2X: 47" 3X: 48.5" 4X: 50" 5X: 51.5" 6X: 53"
I am a professional tailor and I have a lot of experience in the field. I live in Morocco and I want to go to the United States of America and open a small shop for sewing and repairing clothes. I don't want to open a company. Just a small shop. I want to know how can I do that. Will I find it difficult? And do I need debrom or not. And other things. Thank you very much
Small shops are hard to keep running here! It would need to be a tailor and repair, if not dry cleaning shop on top of that. You’d want to find a city with not that many shops. You need a certain amount of money to immigrate as well. While it’s probably doable I’m just letting you know it’ll be hard. That kinda things very old fashioned. Many folks just toss things at this point and buy a new one, even if just a button. Maybe offer life courses too? Home ec isn’t taught here anymore so that might be a niche market you can get in on.

Here, the income is very short, and we cannot cover the expenses. This is why I want to immigrate to America. I was earning up to $160,000 a year Now it does not exceed 20 thousand dollars I have money saved and I want to move to America and open a medium sewing project and start a new life Because here in my hometown of Clint thrive on the Spanish frontier. And now it's closed. Thank you very much

Yes you can very easily make the pattern longer by adding to the hem length.

Thank you 😊
What kind of fabric? Woven cotton? Knit?
I used a stretch twill but you can use anything you want .

Yes mirror your pieces when it says cut 2
Hey, I just made this skirt for a class project, but the waist area is to big. How can I make it tighter?
It’s a wrap skirt. Just pull the ties.
Hello, I purchased the pattern and can't find the written instructions, nor can I find the ribbon chart. Can you help with this?
Thanks! Miranda

Hello,
I just ordered and downloaded the pattern. You mentioned a ribbon chart. Can you tell me where that is located? Thank you!
Ahhhhh I forgot to put it in there. Sorry. I will add it . Short ribbon 2 feet. Long ribbon is 2ft plus the measurement of your back waist pattern.
@@SewAnastasia Got it, Thank you for your quick response!
